Opponents say the firm used the names of other entities to gain permits to remodel an Otay Mesa warehouse. The firm says it needs a center to fulfill a Navy contract.
San Diego - Blackwater Worldwide, the global security firm whose conduct in Iraq has drawn criticism, is again trying to open a training facility in the face of local opposition.
In March, the firm dropped plans to build a 220-acre training camp in rural Potrero, about 45 miles east of downtown San Diego. A coalition of rural property owners, environmentalists and antiwar activists opposed its effort to build a "combat town."
But the coalition did not know that Blackwater was simultaneously moving to open a smaller facility with a shooting range in Otay Mesa, within the city limits and near the Mexican border.

Blackwater is a Danger to American Citizens
Blackwater should be disbanded. They are dangerous to the American people. These people are unstable and out of control. I have seen them in Iraq. Believe me, they are not popular with our military.
Leave it to our politicians to hire people like this, and then to send them into a foreign nation, not subject to the UCMJ. It is any wonder that we are hated around the world?
Why is it that our politicians have been working for decades to disarm the American people, and then use taxpayers money to hire people like this? Our military takes an oath to the Constitution (so do our politicians, but criminals don't take their oaths seriously), but these people don't. They are just guns for hire, the equivalent of a street gang.
Private armies are dangerous to the people. Blackwater needs to be disbanded.
I signed the original petition to stop them in -portero-SP? but
is there somethiing else I can sign for this one too? I live 3000 miles away but realize they are the devil...I will do whatever I can do to stop them...does anyone know if there is a new petition or something I can do?

They had a lady on CNN being interviewed about losing her son in Iraq.. Before they started the interview they went to a Blackwater spokesman and starting slandering her an her son. I guess her son died in a friendly fire incident with BW. The guy went on to say they cant be prosecuted because of people like her trying to make money. Her other son started yelling about how they set them up and called them out for being incentive assholes.
