GA Convention Update

I posted the article about us being denied admission. I then had to run to an ATM and pay my way without a waiver (poll tax!). He is a link to the waiver on the GOP server http://www.gagop.org/libr... ]http://www.gagop.org/library/conv45.pdf

Ok so here are the major transgressions I believe happened at the convention.
Disclaimer: we would not have had enough to totally influence the vote but convention and state rules were violated. I witnessed this:
1.Waivers were not honored. This is a violation of Georgia Election Law.
2.The rules for the convention were adopted yesterday! The delegates today did not approve them, we could not change them. They made it difficult to prevent voting by slate on the delegates. Don't the delegates have to approve the rules of the convention?
3. The chair required all objections to be routed through the microphones. Fair, but he would not give anyone time to get to a mic and make a call for a handvote. One resolution that was passed may not have passed a handvote. A call for division was inored because it did not come through a mic. How can you make a call if you are not sure if the vote will be close?
Now these are things I did not witness:
Intimidation: Our signs were removed. One supporter reported that he was spit on at the rally last night.

Of the resolutions passed (except for endorsing McCain), I did not think they were bad overall. They had some wording that should have been changed. However, no serious and specific resolutions were accepted by the resolutions committee and no proposals from the floor were allowed.

Complaints to the Georgia Attorney General

and Secretary of State are appropriate. The Georgia GOP should be reminded what can happen if a dedicated group of individuals politically undermine their candidates. Remember when Saxby Chambliss had a Congressional audience member arrested for asking a simple, non-threatening question? It would be fairly easy to remind the public of that.

I'm going to just bump this

I'm going to just bump this once to make sure that people see the update.

Sorry for self-bumping.

bumping is one thing..but do

bumping is one thing..but do you guys have enough "whenthegoinggetstoughedness" to go forward with complaints regarding these actions? I do not know if the National Republican HQ is in on all this or not, but if NOT, those people ran an illegal convention and should be asked to step down immediately, let alone buried in legal defense type actions for their "crimes".
