I am fascinated by political events and am offering this text taken off a Constitution Party meetup group to prompt conversation. I take no responsibility for this text. It is offered for informational purposes only. The opinions expressed below are from an open search of a publicly available Meetup group.

TALKING POINTS

Why Should Paulites and Christians Support Chuck Baldwin,
Instead of ?Writing In? Ron Paul

1. Chuck Baldwin is on the ballot, Ron Paul isn?t. Odds are extremely against Write-In wins. A ballot candidate at least has a chance.
2. When Ron Paul WAS ON the ballot during the GOP primaries, he was getting between 1% and 5% of the vote from REPUBLICAN ACTIVISTs. So, what makes the Paulies think that more Republicans than 5% are going to write him in? Do they think the DEMOCRATS are going to write in Paul in November?
3. Ron Paul did not choose to leave the wayward Republican Party. Baldwin did.
4. Voting for Ron Paul is still feeding the Republican machine and allows their corrupt party leadership to just keep laughing at the Paulies. However, casting a vote for Chuck Baldwin and the Constitution Party chips away at the stranglehold the Repubs and Dems have on the US political system, and sends those corrupt leaders in both parties a much stronger signal that their reign of terror will be ending sooner rather than later, even if only in our dreams.
5. There is a lot of time between now and the November election day. Who knows what Ron Paul might do in the next 6 months? He may tell them to NOT write in his name or he may endorse McCain or he may endorse Baldwin. If so, will the Paulies and the Christians vote for McCain?!

Ha Ha Ha - THe Constitution Party sounds like the Republicans

Who in the heck does the CP think they are? They sound like Republicans and Democrats - "Those voters might as well go here, there is not anywhere else for them to go"

Really - well between Chuck Baldwin, Bob Barr and others like Nader and a write-in for Paul in many states. There are plenty of places to go.

Reply #1 The CP is stuck in a reglious no man's land. You have to believe the way they do on religious issues or else.

Reply#2 Chuck Baldwin is on some of the ballots - the CP is far far far from having ballot access in all 50 states. As a matter of fact, if Ron Paul wanted to run as an independent and not part of any party he could be on the ballot in all 50 states much easier.

Reply#3 If I remember correctly, Baldwin supported Patrick Buchanan (which was honorable) vs George W Bush in 2000 with the Reform Party, so this is not the first time he has stepped away from the Republican Party. In addition, Chuck Baldwin is not well known in many circles.

Reply#4 Ron Paul is telling his supporters to be part of the Republican Party, he is NOT telling them to vote for John McCain. Revitalizing the Republican Party is very important in the long run. While we may not vote for the Republican nominee - McCain can't win anyway, we can get Ron Paul Republicans elected to other seats, and flood state parties and kick the liberal Republicans out.

So to the Constitution Party - you better worry about getting on the ballot in all 50 states, before you worry about getting Ron Paul supporters.

For Information Only

Should Constitution Party people be considered trolls or moles and bumped from every Ron Paul meetup group?

Yes/No

Do Constitution Party people understand the long term strategy of The Revolution?

Yes/No

Should Ron Paul Revolutionaries recognize that Constitution Party propogandists are no longer in the Revolutionary camp?

Yes/No

Chuck Baldwin essentially

Chuck Baldwin essentially endorsed Ron Paul by campaigning for him. Baldwin knows that Ron Paul is the real deal. That is not to say Chuck Baldwin is a bad option, though, as I believe he is a great option for president.

What the Constitution Party really needs to do is gain Ron Paul's support and endorsement for Chuck Baldwin IF Dr. Paul steps out of the presidential race. If that happens they will have a tidal wave of votes from our revolution.

Been here five days and the only two posts you make

are about Chuck Baldwin and the Christian Constitution Party?

You smell fishy.

Approved Write-in Lists

Pizza God,

I'm interested. How do you get onto Texas' "approved" write in list?

write in's

Just like candidates on the ballot, in Texas, you have to be on an approved write in list for your votes to count.

I love Ron Paul and wish he would be a choice in November, but I will be voting for who I think is the best candidate left on the ballot.

So far, John McCain beats out Obama, Nador and maybe Baldwin. I have not looked at the Libertartians yet, McCain beats out Kubby but maybe not Bob Barr.

So I don't know who I will vote for yet.

Agree with Pizza God here

Here are my choices from best to last

Ron Paul #1 Reason - He's Ron Paul

Bob Barr #2 Reason - He is the candidate most like Ron Paul with the highest chance to win. He has the highest starting poll numbers of any third party candidate at 7%. Thats 1% better than when Perot started his campaign.

Chuck Baldwin #3 Reason - He is a Ron Paul supporter and mirrors Ron Paul at about 99%.

Nader #4 Reason - He's anti-establishment

McCain #5 - Reason - Well he is 99.9% a liberal Democrat so he might not be liberal on something.

Obama #6 - Reason - He and his wife are racists

the Hildabeast #7 - Reason - She is Satan

Couldn't say it any better!!

Ron Paul: My Letter To Friends & Family
Posted May 18th, 2008 by sempiternal
After quite a bit of research, I was a strong supporter of Mitt Romney and voted for him. But there was one thing that I did not do, and that is seriously consider and take a look at Ron Paul, or even what he had to say - I saw him as a clown with no chance, exactly like the mainstream media and other politicians prefer the American people to believe.

No, he is not the most charismatic candidate, nor the greatest speaker, nor the wealthiest, nor the most popular, nor even a candidate with much of a chance of winning yet, but what makes him more special and important than all the others is that he does stand up for and consistently defend the right values for America, the values the country was founded upon, The Constitution of the United States, and individual liberties. And, he does not do this merely for political reasons or power, he is genuinely sincere in supporting the Constitution and he has one of the most exemplary political records to prove it. In a day and age when most politicians vote mainly with their self-interests in mind or for political reasons, Ron Paul is one of the very few congressmen, if not the only one, that repeatedly votes based upon what is right for America with respect to the Constitution, first and foremost.

And now, after giving Ron Paul the educated consideration that he deserves for President, a consideration that he deserves more than any other candidate, I am going to support Ron Paul and I am going to vote for him; even if I have to write him in. I encourage you to, at a minimum, at least watch some of his videos and speeches and consider him as well as you have any other candidate. If you do, I am sure you will surprise yourself with the realization that Ron Paul is the only choice for President. He is the only choice at a time when the government is so overwhelmingly powerful, bloated, and full of bureaucracy, that we are beginning to lose sight of the purposes the American government was originally founded for.

He is right about war too. I would normally be one of the last people to want to withdraw from a battle, but the point is, America should not be fighting other country's battles to begin with. America should only go to war if Congress declares war, with the intent to win. All the foreign battles America has fought since World War II have not been declared wars, that we would try to or need to win at all costs, and as a result we have lost or withdrawn from them all at extreme costs.

A vote for Ron Paul is not wasted, because every vote he earns, is a vote for America and the Constitution rather than a politician and larger government. If all those voting for another candidate, merely because there seems to be no better option, actually voted for Ron Paul, then he would win.

Please take a look at a couple of his videos, you owe it to yourself and your country, before its too late:
