2008 HAWAII CONVENTION SCRIPT THAT GOP USED TO BLACKOUT RP SUPPORTERS!!!

As many of you know the Hawaii state convention was held this weekend. During this event the Ron Paul delegation was shut down. Through an undisclosed source we would find out that the entire event was staged right down to the which way the Chair would rule. This document is attached as follows:

http://www.filefreak.com/...

The group was also able to alter the rules in order for the McCain slate to be used as the ballot. These slate were simply passed out on the convention floor and allowed the McCain camp to bullet ballot selected delegates. This ballot is as follows:

http://www.filefreak.com/...

With objections from several delegates the party leaders eventually released the following ballot; however, McCain delegates were clearly marked:

http://www.filefreak.com/...

While the Ron Paul delegation was allowed an observer to watch the counting we were not allowed to watch the actual tallies being entered into the computer. A guard was told that if our observer looked at the computer screen that he should be removed.

The state chair also has refused to release the vote tallies claiming it was no one's business. They simply announced the winning delegates who were on the submitted McCain slate, without giving a tally.

I hope this will help those who are attending upcoming conventions. Also please keep this bumped as this is actual physical evidence to show the impropriety of the GOP and McCain leadership.

This sounds like Nazi Germany!

There will be blowback, there will be payback!

I think lawsuits should be filed immediately

and prosecutions under the RICO Act as well. Civil Rights Act violations may have occured also. Are there no lawyers in Hawaii willing to take this on? Were voters disenfranchised?

Use the system against these fools.

Let's Reign! (Rev. 5:10)

Eyeballs

I asked earlier, but maybe nobody saw it.

But, how can they justify not allowing anyone to watch the tally? I ask, would eyeballs change the vote, or would nobody watching allow the change of the vote?

And, it's obviously not fair to change the rules the day of. There should be some sort of recourse for such a disruptive and unfair decision?

Right On Russell

Thanks for keeping this

People who betrayed our 1st Amendment rights

Sam Aiona, Willes Lee, Lynn Finnegan's Office manager Maile Gray(blocked the mic's) Andranne King,(district 17 Chairperson), Gene Ward (Rep. District 17) The "war hero" Mr. Coffee, Micha "forgot last name", Fred Hemmings, Linda Lingle, James"duke" Aiona, Willes's transplant from the mainland(name slips my mind), Darwin Ching, Keep adding....

Remember these people they are the ones who will betray you as it suits their needs.

More names

Charles Enzy (Malia Grey's tag team partner), Boyd Akase, Kyle Karioka, Micah Kane (the name you forgot), Adam DeGuire (the transplant)... the biggest fake of all was the RROR co-author who gave the perception that he was there to make sure rules were in order when he was really there to feed Sam Aiona and Darwin Ching with escape rulings.

Gotta hand it to them. They executed a tight script for the sake of the Governor's ambition.

In the process the local party turned off a lot of McCain and Romney supporters. The cadre does not appeal to good people. There are a lot of good people. They won this battle, but they have lost the hearts of the vast good people of the Party. Keep the fight.

SGP

SGP motivated me to buy over $500 in RP slim jims and materials for signs, and to canvas my area for Ron Paul for 4 months!!! SGP motivated me to send money to Ron Paul campaign money bombs. SGP motivated me to go to the GOP meeting here and find 2 men and three ladies confirming the GOP where I live is DEAD, so then SGP motivated me to expand my area, and I did that to cover a 400 mile area. SGP motivated me when the RP campaign did not return emails or phone calls. SGP impresses me as a person I can TRUST, and that's very important to me. SGP was here to help us spend the way for Ron Paul. SGP is one of the best things about Daily Paul too.

Now We Infiltrate!

Their display shows how weak they are locally. Over $100,000 from the McCain campaign & GOP spent in their effort to stifle us. It's all about changing the leadership now. Now is the time we organize to remove the chair in 2009. We must move up in the voluntary ranks to obtain executive committee seats. That's where the influence is in running conventions and allocating party funds to deliver a winning message and funding various candidates. This is the primary area the current party leadership is failing. Going third party is a convenient and useless option in my opinion. This is the only way we will effect principled change for the future of our state.

Having lived in Hawaii, I'm, sadly, not surprised

The majority of Hawaiian Republicans are as entrenched in their liberal neo-con politics as any New England state. Many leaders chose their party allegiance when they wanted to run against another Dem. but couldn't compete in the primary against the Dem front-runner. They adopted "conservative" rhetoric when it served their election hopes, but their record tells another story.

Why Taking Over Matters

Yes, here it is again. Dump the GOP and go CP or LP because look at how badly they're treating us.

Yes, they're treating us badly. But if the Sergeant at Arms was a Ron Paulite and if the committee head counting the ballot was a Ron Paulite and if the Chairman was a Ron Paulite things would be different.

In fact. there are people in states who are doing this right now. We have Paulite chairmen. We have Paulite sergeant at arms.

Have no doubts. This can be the reality next time around. So, stop bitching. Turn in your R3volutionary badge or else stay with the program.

I'll stay as long as RP stays,

but they can't make be vote for their candidates. I'll be a member of the party, but won't give them another dime of my money....And damn sure won't vote for McKeating5.

Bumpety Bump

Same here- although I might make an exception for Paul-republican candidates.

Vote Counting

Jerry's correct. The actual ballot counting for clean. I was a counter. However, not letting anyone see the numbers being input into the computer completely compromises any integrity in the count.

It was a total sham. Lingle is bucking to be VP and needs a strong showing for McCain. The chair's weak ass explanation was "we had to do this- we couldn't allow Sen. McCain to be embarrassed." There were a few diamond republicans amongst the coal- but the coal was amazingly hostile.

VP Lingle Makes Strategic Sense

The Governor is bucking for VP to swing Hillary support to McCain from Obama.

Lingle gives up her governorship to Aiona to run for VP whether she wins or loses the general.

Aiona is the incumbent in 2010 having the advantage over the Democratic challenger. Incumbent governors have never lost in Hawaii.

Even if McCain/Lingle loses against Obama/Edwards, Lingle has the credential of running as VP and the extra time to groom for her senatorial run in 2010.

Why else would the GOP and the McCain camp blow over $100,000 on Hawaii's convention? If Hawaii's delegation was fractured, the McCain/Lingle ticket would look foolish.

Gov. Lingle will never...

survive another dose of TRUTH, politically speaking. As I and a few of my associates saw to it in 1998 when she had a 20% lead two months before the election and lost by 5,000 votes. It was a sweet moment that night, and I'm not done with her and her cronies yet. Auwe!

Hawaii Republicans have learned well from their monolithic Democrat mentors how to marginalize any dissent from orthodoxy. Partisan Republicanism across the Union is racing to oblivion. John ("Me Too") McCain may well be following the Whigs into history's dustbin. I fear it may be past time to dismount this dead horse and try the Constitution or Libertarian Parties on for size. They are both better fits than either the Demoblican (National SOCIALISTS) or the Demoblican (NATIONAL Socialists) Parties.

The news continues to

The news continues to portray the Ron Paul supporters as disruptive and unruly... etc. They really should be commenting on how damn well behaved we really are. Otherwise there would be some hellacious violence at the state conventions when all this illegal rule breaking crap is put out there by the old guard. In my opinion all that have attended the conventions have been very self restrained and orderly. How long will the peaceful approaches continue? My biggest fear is we will not be able to have a peaceful revolution if they continue rubbing our faces in the dirt.

For my children's children!

Can anyone post this first document...

I've been trying for a couple of days and can't seem to get this to come up on my computer. Just wanted to see the first one with the script.
Also, how is it that there has not yet been a knock- down drag out fight at any of these conventions yet? How can one security guy keep a group of vote counter watchers from watching one man enter the tally into a computer?
You guys must all be saints!

Is there any reason why

the entire GOP should not be sued ?

Because they're a private

Because they're a private organization that has it's own set of rules and your energies should be focused on networking with other like-minded in your state to take over the party.

So what are our options now?

So what are our options now?

A fraud, conspiracy and raketeering complaint ...

filed with the Hawaii AG seems entirely appropriate.

A class action lawsuit?

That might bring some interesting focus on the going ons in the party, as well as on obvious irregularities in the earlier state primaries.

At least it should catch some attention to how the primaries are being conducted

I think it's a marvelous idea, Lisa C!

Vote Counting

I am the guy who was the official observer from the Ron Paul campaign for the Hawaii convention. We lost. I knew that as soon as they changed the rules on us at 0900 Saturday morning. A motion was made to change the rules and accepted even though the National Party rules expressly prohibit doing so at the last minute.
The original rules said that the 35 people with the most votes would win the first round of voting. The second round of voting would choose among these to be the delegates and the alternate delegates. Under those rules we (RP supporters) thought we could win a few slots. When they made the motion to change the rules we lost all real hope of winning. Obviously the GOP insiders knew they were going to change the rules ahead of time. That is why the ballots, which were printed days in advance, allowed voters to vote for delegates and alternate delegates ahead of time.
The decision to pick McCain was really and truly decided at 0900 that morning. The nail in the coffin was the decision to allow preprinted "slate" ballots to be counted. The only preprinted ballots were from the 'Unity' campaign (McCain, Gulianni, Huckabee, Thompson and Romney).
I can honestly say that Ron Paul lost the count by the rules that were accepted at 0900 Saturday morning. When they dumped the ballots out of the ballot box, there were more 'unity' ballots than the handwritten ballots. They obviously had more than 50%. There was no dishonesty once the rules had been changed.
*Now there is a legitimate objection that I tried to make on the floor, and someone after me tried to state as well. The Unity ballots listed votes for congressional district one and two. They are not allowed to vote in both districts. All of the Unity ballots should have been invalidated, but the chair disagreed. In the actual voting room they made sure to keep CD1 and CD2 ballots separate. (again, by count the RP guys lost) But the fact is that they should not have been allowed to use the Unity ballots.
What I objected to was the fact that the GOP insiders could have cheated to if they wanted to cheat. We, the observers, were allowed to watch the count but we weren't allowed to watch the counts being totaled and put into the computer. I'll explain...
The vote counters counted the votes in batches of 50 - 100 ballots and placed the subtotals into an envelope. Each count was verified by at least three counters. We watched every count without interference. (None of the observers noted any problems with this - it seemed totally legit) On the outside of the envelope they wrote the totals. We watched without interference, again. (again totally legit, this is how I am sure that the RP delegates actually, truly did lose under the rules enacted at 0900 Saturday morning). The envelopes were then given to one man who sat at a computer by himself. When we attempted to watch him enter the data into the computer we were threatened. They said that our job was to watch the counting not the tallying of the count. If we watched the tallying of the count security was instructed to escort us out.
One man, with no observers was allowed to tally the votes. No one was allowed to even double check for typos, let alone for dishonesty (which by the way, I am not accusing him of). We, the observers, would not even be able to know if a result was illegitimate because they would not release the vote totals.

Jerry Murphy

What would be the

What would be the justification for not letting anyone observe the tally of the votes?

Is there any sort of recourse against the rule change?

plain as day

If you don't take the chair you get nothing. Once you take the chair everyone must also remember they get nothing. Thats it in a nutshell. If you don't know how to be chairman I sugest someone learn. Its a top down orginization folks. If they get the chairman spot game, set, match.

GOP Insiders Who Played Hard Ball

I think it is important we remember the names of all of those who did the dirty work and took control at the various State Conventions. Not one of them will ever receive a vote or support from this Ron Paul Republican and I think there are many out there who agree. So far as I am concerned their "careers" within the Party are over.

Did anyone happen to see the photo of the huge crowd that Obama had at a rally in Portland? Think McCain could garner such a crowd and does the GOP think he's the one to slow the Obama mass? On the other hand, We The People of Ron Paul could; we have the energy, the righteousness, and are willing to make the sacrifices necessary to bring back the Constitution and the principles of liberty. We do. Honestly, I don't even know one strong McCain supporter...only those who say they will vote for him because he is Republican or because "he's better than HIllary or Obama." He is just another liberal, imo. So GOP insiders, you are losing big time by shunning the support of the the Ron Paul Republicans. State Convention after State Convention, your actions are overriding the right of all of the voices to be heard...all the votes counted. Why the heck did we bother show up if you weren't interested in our opinions...to help you pay for your little event? If that is your plan, all I can say is good luck with Obama and the coming years of tax increases and losses of personal freedoms. We will remember your acts.
