US 'violated Venezuelan airspace' (Any old war will do,,,)

Venezuela has denounced an alleged violation of its airspace by an American military aircraft.
Defence Minister Gustavo Rangel said the jet had been tracked by country's air defences over the Venezuelan-owned island of La Orchila on Saturday.
He said the US ambassador would be summoned to provide an explanation.
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, a fierce critic of Washington, has in the past accused the US administration of destabilising his country.
Mr Rangel told a news conference that the US aircraft "practically flew over" La Orchila - where Venezuela has a military base - and another island before turning back.
"We ordered the airplane to identify itself," he added.
"We have recorded proof of the conversation between ground control in Venezuela and the aircraft pilot."
The pilot is reported to have said he was on a training exercise and was unaware that he had entered Venezuelan airspace. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/h...

Ccripes..good thing Venezuelans talk first and ask questions first..we probably would have shot them down..I am beginning to really hate what goes on here..it is altering our country into something it was never meant to be.

Doesn't ring true
I really doubt that Nick Rockefeller would have revealed all of this information to a man who was obviously someone they couldn't trust. He was a man critical of the IRS, of the war on drugs, of NAFTA, and frankly doesn't seem like a man who could keep a secret.

That for some unidentified reason, we are provoking little by little other nations, ecspecially one that is very outspoken of our foriegn policy. Any reason why our aircraft would drift so far off course and be unaware of their position. What were they using?
An outdated map and sextant as a navigation tool? Didn't know we were over venezuelan airspace. Riiiight.

There are a few other countries that don't either, namely Iran, North Korea, and until 2002, Iraq. It's all about who gets paid for what
