Moles being hired for the RNC convention

Moles Wanted

Paul Carroll was riding his bike when his cell phone vibrated.

Once he arrived home from the Hennepin County Courthouse, where he’d been served a gross misdemeanor for spray-painting the interior of a campus elevator, the lanky, wavy-haired University of Minnesota sophomore flipped open his phone and checked his messages. He was greeted by a voice he recognized immediately. It belonged to U of M Police Sgt. Erik Swanson, the officer to whom Carroll had turned himself in just three weeks earlier. When Carroll called back, Swanson asked him to meet at a coffee shop later that day, going on to assure a wary Carroll that he wasn’t in trouble.

Carroll, who requested that his real name not be used, showed up early and waited anxiously for Swanson’s arrival. Ten minutes later, he says, a casually dressed Swanson showed up, flanked by a woman whom he introduced as FBI Special Agent Maureen E. Mazzola. For the next 20 minutes, Mazzola would do most of the talking.

“She told me that I had the perfect ‘look,’” recalls Carroll. “And that I had the perfect personality—they kept saying I was friendly and personable—for what they were looking for.”

What they were looking for, Carroll says, was an informant—someone to show up at “vegan potlucks” throughout the Twin Cities and rub shoulders with RNC protestors, schmoozing his way into their inner circles, then reporting back to the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, a partnership between multiple federal agencies and state and local law enforcement. The effort’s primary mission, according to the Minneapolis division’s website, is to “investigate terrorist acts carried out by groups or organizations which fall within the definition of terrorist groups as set forth in the current United States Attorney General Guidelines.”

Carroll would be compensated for his efforts, but only if his involvement yielded an arrest. No exact dollar figure was offered.

“I’ll pass,” said Carroll.

Didnt you people see the

Didnt you people see the FEMA fireman video? Anyone who supports the constitution is a terrorist in the neocons eyes. How that video isnt all over the news I`ll never know. Just proves the media are in on the nazification of America.

So we're hiring moles and nominating a chipmunk?

The Republican National Critter Convention?

McCain

seems more like aa snake in the grass to me- wouldn't that be reptilian?

Libera me, let the truth break, what my fears make--Leslie Phillip

Wild game

is quite tasty!

I'd kind of enjoy just a little more "Lame Duck"!

You don't actually eat

those varmints, do you?

Why not? The Democrats are

Why not? The Democrats are pushing a shrew and a skunk, so it's only tit for tat.

lol vegan potluckers are

lol vegan potluckers are terrorists now then? what a bunch of carnivores those govt agents are :P

maybe the mind control drugs really does reside in the beef... arrest those who wont eat it! theyre clearly terrorist factions.

Recruiting infiltrators

Recruiting infiltrators and agents provocateur--straight out of the Nazi playbook. But it's a "conspiracy theory," I presume--according to some disinfo trolls.

"If we want to live in a free society, we need to break free from these artificial limitations on free debate and start asking serious questions once again." -Ron Paul, The Revolution: A Manifesto

I think it will be obvious that some idiot throwing a rock

is not a Ron Paul person.

Ron Paul people have been dealing with the media scum for years.

We know that an incident is what the media wants.

I am positive that an idiot will do something and they are free to do so.

We will be free to say that that idiot who does something is part of "their" effort to control events.

It is a grass roots effort. Crowds are cool and "one at a time" is cooler.

They can't control "one at a time" and that is why they have half a dozen people watching this site 24/7.

The GOP has been breaking their asses trying to screw us out of delegates. That tells me they are scared.

God Bless Dr. Paul.

sadly, i'm not the least bit

sadly, i'm not the least bit surprised.

you know how pres. bush claimed "the terrorists hate us for our freedom"? well, i guess the war on terror must be over now - this administration has succeeded in eliminating most our freedom & liberties.

well done, idiot. go ahead & raise that 'mission accomplished' banner again.

Neither am I

It is increasing obvious that the Bush administration hates us for our freedom. And don't assume things will be better with McCain, Clinton or Obama -- they are control freaks all.

Remember that John Adams, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Samuel Adams were "terrorists" in the eyes of King George. History is repeating itself -- we even have a new King George.

What I'd like to know

How many Ron Paul supporters were allowed to be volunteers after the lengthy registration form. After it was announced on daily paul and ronpaulforums that the RNC was looking for volunteers the GOP changed the registration to ask for alot of personal information and threw away the original people who registered. I signed up the first time, the second time it asked too many invasive questions that didn't make sense.

And I only

wanted to get a $100 cashiers check at my bank, and was asked for my driver's license! I saw her type info from my license in her system.

These people know me at the bank, so it was more data gathering. But for $100 bucks? Perhaps it was because it was "cash"?

AHHH HA!!!

See! You MUST be a terrorist, because any patriotic Amerikan knows that they have nothing to hide from their government!

What were you planning to do, terrorist? Talk about the US Constitution? Pass out printed materials and CDs/DVDs with 'facts' about Ron Paul or something? Don't you know it's going to be a crime soon to talk out against the status quo? You can't use the fear of lost liberties to scare people you know...that's terrorism.

/end sarcasm

Lets plan a peaceful revolution

Outside the convention. Ron Paul is going to speak at the University, so maybe we can inform some volunteers there. Also, we can fill the restaurants and bars/streets with people wearing Ron Paul t-shirts. I say all the campaign materials need to go to the convention in St. Paul so the streets are covered in Ron Paul signs on the convention day.

What will the coverage outside be like if the reporters can't get in a shot without seeing a big "Ron Paul" sign?
