I have a serious question

so you're wise not to believe in them. it really is just entertainment (except in my case, when only the bad predictions come true & not the awesome ones).

astrology aside - & people on this forum can feel free to tell me to stop spewing the conspiracy theories, or that i'm out of line - but i've had this really bad feeling that if hillary is selected vp, something tragic might happen to barack. something along the lines of the mysterious deaths that occurred during the whitewater scandal.

if you remember whitewater -- one guy died from a "heart attack" in prison - but proof of his heart attack are in dispute. & there was a plane crash that killed several others - but there were widespread reports that the victims had gunshots to the head when their bodies were recovered.

i don't trust the clintons. i'm not calling them murderers. but if you look at the way they've handled this election & how absolutely nothing is too low for them to get hillary the nomination, barack had better think twice about dealing with the devil.

....with Sailette. Given the legislation forced thru by W (go watch "Washington, you're fired!"), it is BC's opinion that we'll be subjected to a bio attack this comming August...that leads to the national emergency..that leads to Marshal Law...which suspends elections indefinitely.
Why August? Because London was in July, and the TT were in September...stupid, I know...but it is my opinion. They've got the FEMA camps set up all over...and it wouldn't make sense for them to come round us all up...with a bio attack, all FEMA has to do is say, "we've got a vaccene! Just come to the 'friendly facility' near you! We learned from Katrina, and we're on top of things for you!"
They get rid of a large segment of population, W and Cheney and Condi, et al. still run the show...there's no fuel or food..and they've got us by the nads. Are Saliette and I the only people who see this writing on the wall?
To me, it just seems like an obvious slow pitch....I hope I'm wrong.

Doesn't vote until december, and the votes are not certified until much nearer the inauguration. So, up until this time, there is no one officially elected as president, and in principle the electors could choose someone other than the person with the majority of votes.

Once the electoral votes have been certified, I believe the official order is followed, that being VP, Speaker of the house, president pro tempore of the senate, etc. (though I am not sure.

Great question. It helps educate people who may just be entering the process. I'm inclined to think GW will declare martial law before just because his comments on a dictator and disdain for the constitution.

Let's consider McCain gets the RNC nod and afterwards something happens to him (maybe dies or is incapacitated) do you think the RNC would really put in Dr. Ron Paul?

by the elected president. If the president, for whatever reason, is unable to serve his or her term of office, the sworn-in VP takes the role. GWB will still be president at the time that the oath is being administered to the elected VP candidate. GWB, by law, will become unable to serve in the role of president. Absent a president, the legal VP can then assume the duties of president in accordance with the 25th amendment.

do not know the complete answer. If Obama was elected but did not take office, I do not believe that the lines of succession would be in place. It may be able to go to the vp since they would have been elected in a general election, but I don't think Pelosi could take office. So it would seem that either we wouldn't have a sitting president until an new election or w would stay in power. I believe the latter since I don't think the american people would want an empty president seat. Though many founding fathers would be overjoyed.

GW will suspend the elections and declare martial law because of some unimagined catastrophe that will befall either the USA or another nation.
