Why do we Americans not pursue energy independence - more oil in Alaska, off both coasts, the Gulf of Mexico, shale/oil reclamation in Colorado/New Mexico or harvest the tides/wind, again off both coasts? Are oil monopolies restricting production for price control? Is the Dept. of Energy, states, and environmental groups part of the problem? Your answers will help by friend become a more informed citizen/voter. Thanks to all.
