The state of Texas should not have removed more than 400 children it took from a polygamist sect's ranch, an appeals court ruled Thursday.

I hope they can sue the state for millions!!! Thats what needs to start happening- sue the states, the judges and governement agents.
The news keep referring to them as polygamist
from what I heard, there has been nothing comfired of this. If thats the case, CPS better take the childern from people in TX who have open marriages.
A step in the right direction
Now let's get those children back to their loving parents before the day is over, CPS.

AUSTIN, Texas (KXAN) -- The Third Court of Appeals has ruled that Child Protective Services did not have the right to remove children from the Yearning for Zion ranch last month.
The ruling comes as a result of a document filed by Texas RioGrande Legal Aid last month. The TRLA is the largest provider of legal aid in Texas, on behalf of 48 FLDS mothers that TRLA is representing in their child custody cases.
More coming up
And here's some more:
the Court ruled that CPS failed to provide any evidence that the children were in imminent danger and acted hastily in removing them from their families. According to the Court, "The existence of the FLDS belief system as described by the Department's witnesses, by itself, does not put children of FLDS parents in physical danger."
TRLA will be holding a press conference in front of the courthouse in San Angelo Thursday at 1:30 p.m.

I assume CPS will appeal, and I assume this is a long way from over- but this is a HUGE step in the direction, and I would hope that if CPS does appeal, the media at least will have to stop ignoring the fact that half the 'minor' girls in custody are actually adults, and the youngest of them, who actually IS a minor, is also NOT pregnant.

More on that last paragraph above: http://www.sltrib.com/pol...
Authorities for CPS:
had admitted by midday Thursday that 15 of the 31 mothers listed as underage are adults; one is actually 27. A few are as young as 18, but many are at least 20.
Another girl listed as an underage mother is 14, but her attorney said in court she is not pregnant and does not have a child.
And I love this last line:
More mothers listed as underage are likely to be reclassified as adults in coming days.
CPS spokesmen did not immediately return a phone call from The Associated Press seeking comment.
WEll, that's a change, and a welcome one.

And more here http://deseretnews.com/ar... - mothers are pleased, excited, but reserved. They've been lied to and led down the bureaucratic primrose path too many times. And the bureaucratic primroses have sharp thorns.

I hope these people hire
some high powered lawyers and sue the crap out of Texas and that damn cps scum.
My persepction
is that they won't sue for money. Perhaps replacement cost for their Temple which the police invaded and is no longer usable. (it was sacred ground)
What I would like to see happen, is ALL those who are responsible for this travesty be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Not just the "sick" anonymous caller, but all those who jumped at the opportunity to steal the children so they could steal their 1700 acres of "prime" TTC property.
They broke the law!!! Let's pray there is someone with a conscience to be the whistle blower.
All those "health" officials who gave these children vaccines w/o parental permission. All those who ignored proof some of these "children" were adults. All those who did anything to those children w/o parental permission!!!
Suing for our tax money does not hold the individual people accountable. Money cannot buy what these children and parents lost. I want total accountability!!!!
Amen.
It disgusts me the way Texas has behaved toward these innocent people. It disgusts me that 400+ children have been IRREPARABLY damaged. No one can EVER convince me that those children will EVER be the same again. These children's innocence has been sacrificed to the false god of Statism, and they can never regain that.
This should go down in history as being just as bad as Missouri's 1838 "Extermination Order" in which the governor ordered all Mormons to be driven out of the state or exterminated.
We need lawsuit reforms. It
We need lawsuit reforms.
It needs to be harder for people to sue small businesses and private individuals.
It needs to be MUCH EASIER to sue the government successfully.
