How about sending CPS some fan mail?

Let's make sure they have lots of exciting mail to read when they return to work after a long holiday weekend!

Send your thoughts to: communityengagement@dfps.state.tx.us

Thanks for suggesting it:

Now that the courts have ruled and you have done so much damage to so many kids and their families, round them all up an GET THEM HOME!!!!!

Your agency's actions sickened me thoroughly. They were tantamount to the horrific, adrenalin-crazed ATF raid on the Branch Davidians. I don't have kids and I live in New Hampshire so I was not personally affected by this outrage. However, I was steaming mad about it and you folks have made me even more furious at government in general these days. I try to be proud of my country and its values and then the government does something like this that violates the Bill of Rights like it wasn't even there and I'm back to thinking of my government as a bunch of jack-booted Nazi storm troopers.

Jim McClarin

That angers me also

Just remeber these people are watching the tv. Its not an exuse but sadly it's where we are today. that is a sad number I'm so ashamed right now.

I suspect that 62% of our fellow Americans

would be shoving Jews into boxcars headed for death camps if G. W. Bush told them to, based on these poll numbers.

Sad. Very sad.

I hope they now realize that

I hope they now realize that at least some of the people in this country are watching and getting involved. I for one would never have given this any thought 1 year ago. Just one more reason to say THANK YOU, RON PAUL, for opening my eyes. I suppose a lot of offices in Texas have my phone number on caller ID now?

Yes, without Ron Paul

so many hundreds of thousands of Americans would still be blind. For those who wonder what this FLDS raid has had to do with Ron Paul, I say "EVERYTHING." Ron has the answers, and people are beginning to listen to him. And only when the citizenry is informed will anything begin to change for the better.

Good going! It's nice to be

Good going! It's nice to be on those lists with people like your self!

AUSTIN, Texas (KXAN) -- The Third Court of Appeals has ruled that Child Protective Services did not have the right to remove children from the Yearning for Zion ranch last month.

The ruling comes as a result of a document filed by Texas RioGrande Legal Aid last month. The TRLA is the largest provider of legal aid in Texas, on behalf of 48 FLDS mothers that TRLA is representing in their child custody cases.

More coming up

And here's some more:
the Court ruled that CPS failed to provide any evidence that the children were in imminent danger and acted hastily in removing them from their families. According to the Court, "The existence of the FLDS belief system as described by the Department's witnesses, by itself, does not put children of FLDS parents in physical danger."

TRLA will be holding a press conference in front of the courthouse in San Angelo Thursday at 1:30 p.m.

A tad more here: http://www.sltrib.com/pol...

I assume CPS will appeal, and I assume this is a long way from over- but this is a HUGE step in the direction, and I would hope that if CPS does appeal, the media at least will have to stop ignoring the fact that half the 'minor' girls in custody are actually adults, and the youngest of them, who actually IS a minor, is also NOT pregnant.
------------

More on that last paragraph above: http://www.sltrib.com/pol...

Authorities for CPS:
had admitted by midday Thursday that 15 of the 31 mothers listed as underage are adults; one is actually 27. A few are as young as 18, but many are at least 20.
Another girl listed as an underage mother is 14, but her attorney said in court she is not pregnant and does not have a child.

And I love this last line:

More mothers listed as underage are likely to be reclassified as adults in coming days.
CPS spokesmen did not immediately return a phone call from The Associated Press seeking comment.

WEll, that's a change, and a welcome one.
-------------
And more here http://deseretnews.com/ar... - mothers are pleased, excited, but reserved. They've been lied to and led down the bureaucratic primrose path too many times. And the bureaucratic primroses have sharp thorns.

What a sigh of relief.

What a sigh of relief. Since the first day I saw this case on the news, I knew it was very very wrong.

I just hope it sticks, the government has comparitively endless resources to spend and and much more power than any group.

I hope they sue CPS for at least, oh, how about 30 million in punitive damages, and get it, along with some criminal charges for Ms. Walther and whomever it was that signed the hoax warrant to begin with.

One good thing

At least this issue brought you to Ron Paul!!!!!!!! :)

It not only brought me here,

It not only brought me here, but also helped convert myself and others from begrudged, mass media educated, McCain semi-supporters, all despising Ron Paul, because we were programmed to, into proud Ron Paul supporters.

The majority of people I know would have been fairly happy voting for a McCain/Romney ticket. Now, I don't even care who McCain selects.

I'm voting Ron Paul, and I'm going to force any Republican volunteers to show me how to write him in, while at the same time encouraging they do the same.

:)

It will be a great feeling to vote for exactly what you want rather than trying to play the political game! It will be a great feeling to vote for the Constitution. The founding fathers were some of the greatest philosophers ever - the proof is in The United States of America becoming one of the most prosperous and free countries ever...

...but the values that got us here have already been terribly damaged and are still under relentless and serious attack!

Sue away.....

I just hope that they sue only those involved in the decision-making process and not the hardworking taxpayers of Texas that had absolutely nothing to do with this.

That's the sucky thing

about representative democracy. Sometimes it comes at a great cost when mistakes are made.

I suspect that if the Texas legislature just re-appropriates the CPS budget for, oh, I don't know, a decade or so, that this could be settled without taxing anyone anymore than they are already taxed.

The individuals responsible should also be sued as individuals, and not just as representatives of the State. The UN Convention on Genocide makes that possible for any person involved in this action.

I agree the only thing that will make these

set on their couch and flip channels voters open their eyes is something to burn their wallets then the'll get up and open their eyes and want answers. shoot I go one step futher not only public and private law suites but criminal charges I want to see a bunch of these people setting jail. These are the criminals of our society. These are the terrorist in our comunity. These are the people Americans fear. You couln't believe how many people family services have terrorized. There are so many Americans that hate these people. I would say the number would rival that of saddams two boys. These people are destructive to this nations family units. every state needs to start finding people to run for sheriff cause in a state they have huge power. Everybody find you a sherrif to run ASAP.

here is a poll that we could ......

alter to show the rest of America what the real truth is ...

http://news.aol.com/story...

go there and vote for the FLDS

Only 38%

Out of nearly 30,000 votes, only 38% say the kids should go home?

I'm almost surprised it's that high

Outside my immediate family and a few associates whom I am close to, all of my coworkers, most members of my church, and much of my extended family all feel the same way as apparently 62% of the poll respondents. Sickening.

Repeat a lie enough, and people don't even question it. We are seeing this happen right now.

Huh??

Nothing to do with this? 39% of the voters in TX re-elected Perry! They ALL share in this injustice and deserve any state tax increase necessary for reparition to the FLDS. TX has planned this attack since the FLDS people moved there in 2003, even changing state laws to accomplish their bigoted persecution.

Unfortunately, I think they

Unfortunately, I think they easiest way for them to make heads roll would be in a civil suit. And unfortunately, that would mean that we pay the price.

Also consider that the government has probably spent in excess of $10 million already on this bogus raid (the governer's office said it cost $7.5 million just for the initial raid. That's money the government already decided to throw away, not including all the ongoing legal and childcare expenses the government is going to force upon us to run this sham operation.
