The National Convention is looking for 10,000 volunteers to help. We can be a large part of that floor. Ron Paul's name is going to be nominated from the floor. We'll be there in mass inside the convention to wave signs and chant when that happens.

We all appreciate your even wanting to help and I, for one, am so enthusiastic and optimistic by the smarts and energy of the young people who are supporting Dr. Paul. It give us older folks hope to know of this activity! Maybe since it is age limited to be inside on the convention floor, you can at least be part of a welcoming committee outside the ballroom or building. I'd check with some of the local meetups and see what you can do in that regard. You go JCD, you represent the future.

brother inlaw is a delegate and is bringing my sister.So that will
place another 45 or 50 Ron Paul
supporters inside the convention.
Haven't heard if the alternates

I signed up for the entire week.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed! We must flood this place with RP supporters who will do the job asked of them, but also work the inside angles. I believe this will give us a great advantage. While applying, you are asked what sort of jobs you would like to do. I chose staffing events as my ideal job. There are transportation jobs, visitor info, airport greeting, etc. They ask if you speak any other languages other than english, in fact, they ask if you kind of speak the language(s) and/or if you fluently speak the language(s). Lodging is not provided and there may be an orientation that you must show up early for....I believe they said the 30th of August. I have some vacation days at work that I need to burn and I can't imagine a better way to use them. When RP was in KY this past weekend he asked that we do everything possible to make the rally in St.Paul a success. He said that if 10,000 supporters were to show up, the rally would be a huge success. RP is holding a rally somewhere nearby. I remember him saying "next door", but I posted that earlier and Granny about had a cow....so, somewhere in Minnesota....okay with that Granny? Let's go folks....let's snap these positions up ASAP. The people who work the jobs actually control what happens. Sure there are leaders, but they're usually busy primping and schmoozing. Well, I'm in anyhow.

A rally next door to the RNC, would be a better place to have a rally than DC in June. It will get ALLOT more coverage with all the media already there!!

I asked a lawyer about going as a guest to the convention. He is going to get back to me and see who I need to contact.

I humbly disagree with your initial statement and here's why....
...if we have 1,000 supporters filling the positions needed at the GOP convention, and they don't offer RP a speaking position, then we simply leave our posts when RP is speaking at our convention. This will cause a major disruption in what they are doing, thus ultimately showing them first-hand that they need us to function. Know what I mean?

The "critical" positions needed will be filled by their state's known officals and RNC officals. Volunteers are needed for simple things that wouldn't halt business. Any disruption from the floor will be removed by one of the hundreds of police, they will handle this strictly and tight!

They don't have enough people to fill the positions which is why they are asking for volunteers. As far as "critical" positions go, I wasn't speaking of them. I'm talking about the people who greet folks at the airport, set up the various rooms for use, transport folks to and fro, take out the garbage, etc. Do you really believe that if we walked out it would not disrupt the event. Throw a wrench in the works? Obviously it wouldn't halt the convention however it would severely hamper their ability to function properly. As far as the police go, I can walk out of any event that I volunteered to work. Period. I believe you need to rethink your statement. If there aren't enough "braves" the "chiefs" will have to do the work. Ha ha ha! That's worth it's weight in gold! Make them get their grubby paws dirty from actual work instead of corruption. I think it's going to be awesome! Of course, if they give RP a speaking slot, then all will go well. The choice is theirs.

Of Coarse you can walk from a volunteer position. I\ The police reference was to the idea of disrupting from the floor. Also. I do know that nobody can bring in signs from outsde. Only premade ones done by the RNC are handed out at certain times.
If the concept is to take back the GOP,that has to be from the inside. Are we going to be taken serious if we handle ourselves and represent Dr Paul with little character. Actions always have results. I hear all the talk of revolution is step by step over a long period of time. Burning bridges makes it hard to get around in revolution

The event we can attend that can have real relevance is the convention. I'm saving my pennies and will wall around the whole city with my signs. I think every single Freedom Movement Member (FMM) Should go to the convention.
No rioting, no rocks, but no staying behind the fence either. I say we walk all the hotels and approach all the media. I say we swarm them!
The convention can be HUGE for us; we just have to give them no excuse to start a riot.

Strategies that can be blocked by the GOP probably should not be discussed on Daily Paul. Getting the word out is a problem, but just keep this in mind.

There's two ways to think
There's two ways to think about it. 1)It'll give them something else to worry about. They don't have unlimited resources and can only block so many RP strategies. 2)Everything we've done has been infiltrated by the Neocons so even if we can keep a secret for a short while, they'll still learn about it sooner or later. We've got them in our local meetup group. I'm sure they've tapped some of our phones and emails.
I say push forward and give them something else to waste their money. Are they going to do background checks and interview the politics of every volunteer? There's at least a million of us for them to screen and filter.
