What's going on guys and gals? I've been hovering the daily paul since at least Dec. I had an account but I could never get my password. I tried multiple times with my yahoo account and it never worked out so I just got used to hovering and never posting. So today I set up a new gmail account and a new daily paul account and it worked. That's why, if you check, you'll see Im a new member under this name.
We're working on a project here in Northern California that is already starting to get attention and it's a wonderful idea. We've started a meetup called the Humboldt Alliance for Constitutional Control (HACC). We're working on writing up an ordinance to declare our county a Constitutional Law Zone (CLZ). You guys are all wonderful patriots here so Im sure you can assume what we're aiming for. We're already being contacted by people from around the nation who are showing great interest, including a sheriff from VA. We'd really like to use this one meetup as a national template, discussion, networking group while at the same time encouraging all of you to start your own in your local areas. Get local groups involved, take it to your local politicians, etc. Who would be opposed to this? Only a traitor I suppose. lol. We're still working out exactly what our courses of action are going to be and, of course, any input will make it that much more of a success. Let's get this thing off of the ground and start taking our republic back county by county. Here's the link to the first of the groups which will act as the hub.

Super idea and I'm sure you are using the Declaration of Independence as your premise and foundation. Count me in.
People Power
This is a great idea but I do wonder just how you plan to make it work. While “we” think we are a Constitutional country and we talk about “our Constitutional rights” and such, “they” have bypassed the Constitution years ago, established a “corporation” and only let us continue to think as we do in order to pacify the populace. With the P.A.T.R.I.O.T. act, etc. even the mention of the Constitution now labels one as a terrorist.

In other words, while we think we are a “free people” living under Constitutional law we have been sold (literally), every person and every inch of land. The “corporation” believes they own us and can do as they please with us. We have lived under a constant state of emergency for so many generations that we don’t know any better.
I think a very good case can be made to restore Constitutional government by the people because this was done without our knowledge or consent therefore the parties involved (Roosevelt, congress, et al) are guilty and responsible. In the end only the people will be able to accomplish this because we certainly can’t depend on our so-called representatives to do what is right.

I think its a good idea because it shows how far we've strayed from the constitution and hopefully it will open some eyes to the realization of the country we've created for ourselves.

The Constitution spells out pre-existing natural rights which are "self-evident". We don't need zones to declare our rights.

This seems fake. First post, huh? Not sure I buy the explanation.

That's a bad idea because designating any place a "free speech zone", "right to bear arms zone", constitutional law zone", and so on brings with it the connotation that zones outside of that area might not be. The whole zone thing only serves to marginalize our own constitution.
If you want to designate a constitutional law zone then please make the zone boundaries the same as our federal or state borders.
Re: Bad Idea
I understand what you're saying, but since things can be perceived any number of ways, try this perspective. The CLZ is not about restoring something that was lost. Its about a city.......... a town that has had ENOUGH. We are not making statements denying the powers of the Constitution, but rather this is a town that is going to the length to enhance and REAFFIRM the importance of the powers. Think how fast this can actually restore the powers if the people only move to take the steps necessary that this program illustrates. This program can also be used to reaffirm entire states.
The overall input were getting from the people are glad to see some actual headway being accomplished in this area. The general connotation going on is not looked at as zoning everything, but actually accomplishing what we intend to.

I noticed this the other day, and seems like a great new initiative. Our Constitution can and will FOIL attempts to take over our sovereignty if we stand up for it. It was written for JUST this, and we must stand FIRM.
