Alex Jones has been popping up on our forum topics ever since it got started. It has drawn criticism good and bad. What do you think of Alex Jones and his website/radio show/documentaries? Whether the response is positive or negative, please state why it is you hold that opinion. The more specific the better. This is for educational purposes, at least for me.

I liked Ron Paul's message before I ever heard of Alex Jones. Still, I think Jones is sincere, even if he is more than a little reactionary. I believe he exaggerates things because he actually believes they are as bad as he claims.

He's stuck in the place Mr. Griffin talks about in "an idea whose time has come" where for years Mr. Griffin was screaming for people to believe him, but he wasn't giving them the tools to make the change. The people he talked to tuned him out because they either sunk into despair or got on with their own lives. Here's the video:

G. Edward Griffin has moved on from screaming about the atrocities in our global system and has tried banding together like minded people in a freedom force. Unfortunately that isn't the final step. The final step, as Alex Jones has pointed out to Ron Paul is to give people who believe in your mission goals to meet. Alex Jones tried to do this semi covertly in ronpaulwarroom, but didn't publicize it and has since left that go. Since Ron Paul dropping out of the nomination race Alex has resigned himself to screaming about whatever evil there is in the world without giving goals to his listeners.
I think the closest person to causing a real revolution is Penny Langford with www.r3volutionphase2.com-she's trying to help anyone with real liberty credentials get elected. Her site is lackluster though and needs someone who is tech savvy to help her implement the goal (the person who set up www.goooh.com also has the same idea, but its pretentious and not really helpful).
I'll throw out a few goals that can be accomplished with Alex's large audience:
-support Ron Paul's bill so-and-so and call your representative now
-get together and put candidates up on the ballots for elections
-get information to schools so they can teach our children real history
-Protest water companies who put flouride in the water ( or maybe even pay for water testing)
-find candidates who are right for the job and support them
-find the addresses of the NWO and protest there
-get our communities self sufficient so they don't have to worry about water and food.
There's alot more goals people could be accomplishing.
His goal right now is waking people up, and he's doing that. Long time listeners are tuning out though because of exhaustion.

Someone FINALLY provided proof that AJ is a sensationalist. Good job.
50% of the people in the U.S. during December 31st 1999 as midnight approached were freaking out about religious prophecies. The other 50% were partying as hard as they could.
I can't say I agree with how AJ conducted himself 8 1/2 years ago, and will look further into his "Jesuit" accusations.
Typically, I don't get into the whole Zionist/Jesuit crap because evil is not racist and does not discriminate, so it seems silly to single out one group.
One thing I won't deny, he is very religious. That is the main sector on which I don't agree with him.
I will post something when I dig up more crap on either Jones or Cooper.
*edit* An argument can also be made that Cooper was also a sensationalist in that he often addressed UFO issues and paranormal activity. So on one hand we have a religious conspiracy theorist trying to decipher "truth", and on the other side we have a small town guy talking about aliens. The attacks can apply to both. Remember: we know AJ isn't perfect and that he exaggerates. So just because some guy talking about aliens and reptilians says it too, it doesn't mean he's a CIA agent, or a Jesuit. I'll keep reading/watching more videos on the 2. Thanks for turning me on to Bill Cooper though, he does have a lot of interesting things to say about the NWO.

The fear mongering around 31 December 1999 might have had a lot to do with the plans of the NWO. A concept totally unknown to the majority of people, this NWO.
I think AJ tried to explain then but because it was too far away from people's comprehension, and too scary to imagine the truth behind it all, it is explained as fear mongering.
It has been said several times that the NWO plans are well behind schedule... was the 9/11 disaster executed to 'get back on track'?

And it's some guy Bill Cooper (never heard of him, call me stupid) but he alleges that Alex Jones went on air and claimed that he had to shut out Bill Cooper because he had a foul mouth. And of course Mr. Cooper denies that he was kicked off the air by AJ... and this is the biggest dirt so far on Alex Jones ladies and gentlemen. It's also noteworthy that in this short 6 min. clip of Mr. Cooper's show, he does indeed curse 3 times. He also calls AJ a "cowardly liar" about 3 or 4 times after "finding out what he does with the truth", but never bothers to elaborate exactly what Mr. Jones "does to the truth". In short this clip proves nothing.
It is also noteworthy that at the end of the clip 2 callers confirm Mr. Cooper's claims about AJ. So a hissy fit by a rival broadcaster about cursing on air 7 years ago is what this person was using as proof that Alex Jones is a liar.

....as well as others. William Cooper was a great patriot whose research and broadcasts eclipse Alex Jones by far. Alex Jones exists because of people like William Cooper. Bill(William) was into aliens early on, but not in the sense that one would think. He later learned what he considered to be the true order of things which is where Alex Jones came in years later. Don't disrespect Bill Cooper. He paid the ultimate price for his broadcasts and practiced what he preached, so to speak. Bill Cooper defied the IRS and did so successfully I might add. He knew what he was talking about. Bill Cooper was on the air for nearly 12 hours on September 11th 2001 and called it an inside job before the end of the first hour. Bill Cooper predicted an event such as 9-11-2001 just as he had many other incidents. He obviously had no foreknowledge of the exact date, as no one could have unless they were involved somehow. Bill Cooper started the first civilian intelligence agency called CAJI. This is why we know as much as we know today, with the help of others of course. His broadcast still continues under Doyel Shamley. The broadcast is called "The Hour of the Time". A true patriot and intellectual. IMO, Alex Jones doesn't hold a candle to Bill Cooper. Bill Cooper is the man!

...AJ has good and bad points, as does any human being. Alex Jones is a fear mongering salesman...as well as a patriotic bullhorn for the republic. Take him or leave him. I appreciate his efforts as I do RP's efforts. No one is perfect, but I don't listen to AJ anymore because of the fear mongering. To me, it's hypocritical of him. He does lie. As I said, I don't listen to AJ anymore, but someone posted on the RP forums that AJ was responsible for the Nov.5th moneybomb. Ha ha ha! Okay? So, I researched it and heard it with my own ears. Those in the know....know better. So, that makes him a liar. No one is perfect and I don't condemn him for it....I just don't listen to him. That's my 2¢.

He's not a fearmongering salesman, he's a salesman of fear itself.
That being said, I consider him a good guy, because people nowadays should fear (and detest) their government.
But AJ takes things way to far, to the point that he buttresses the irrational belief system that the criminal scum in question are untouchable, unstoppable, and so on. They are touchable.

You make no sense, I think you need to rephrase and please share the links to back your claims up. That's what this thread is for.

...but let me fill in the blanks for you. My research consisted of filtering through his broadcasts until I found the desired one. A friend of mine is an audio junkie who tapes AJ, Rense, Coast-to-Coast, Steve Quayle, etc. so I asked him for some broadcasts. It was in December as I recollect. If I thought that it would do any good I would go through the hassle of finding the audio for you. Of course, I don't wish to go through the hassle. If you want to disprove it then go get'em tiger. I doubt that it would take you long to find the info. I could care less if you believe it or not. As I said, I have my reason for not listening to AJ. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. If that doesn't make sense enough for you then I suppose you're SOL.

I sometimes feel like I'm going crazy listening to him. My introduction to Jones was 'ENDGAME'. I watched it on a whim. He seemed very overboard; like he was making a bigger deal out of things than they really were. But it was scary, to say the least.
I now MUST listen, every day. I listen to Michael Badnarik, Katherine Albrecht and Alex Jones on WTPRN.com from 7am to 3pm.
If even 1/10th of the things he implies are going on are really going on, it won't be long until there is no USA.
We need more Alex Jones'. If we had more people watchdogging our government, maybe we could get it under control.

He has opened the eyes and minds of many people I know, including myself, and shown us the evil that has permeated every level of government and society at large. On the other hand, Alex Jones uses his knowledge to stir up fear and hatred, without ever really offering a solution to fixing all the problems he's so good at pointing out.

It's another viewpoint and the more information made available to you the more able you are to extract real facts from the flow of data. I might not agree or believe everything the man says but the same can be said for CNN, CBS, ABC, and good lord especially FOX.
Today, between newspapers, television, radio, and the internet there is more than enough information to put your own facts together. I've noticed most "news" is full of conjecture, opinions, or outright lies. I don't want to nor should I have to... but I've been forced to decipher news into facts myself because all media does a piss poor job of it.
I'll hand it to Alex Jones though he does get his stuff right most of the time but I don't like the constant drone of scare tactics. "They want to make you their slaves. They own you. They are going to kill you." How nice thanks for telling me that I really didn't know. Maybe I'll get my "they shield" and duct tape my house from chemtrails and install steel doors to protect against death squads.
He has an odd and lonely niche but it is a valuable one so I would say to Alex, "keep on keeping on brother... you do provide a valuable set of information which people can't really get anywhere else. That in itself is a needed vessel to this world no matter if someone loves or hates you. You make the spectrum much bigger and I'm thankful for having such a wide spectrum to enjoy even if I don't agree with what you say."
To me Alex Jones is a part of freedom. In a lesser society none of us would even be able to hear and discuss such things without fear of imprisonment. I'll support anyone who wants to say anything. I don't have to agree with them but by god I'll at least cherish their right to say it. That is part of tolerance that I believe the spirit of this country was founded upon.

I figure there's always bad with good, and vice versa... I've heard both sides of the argument... Personally, the idea that GCN may be directly linked to ABC is more than a little suspicious... HAving said that, I've definitely gotten tons of good info from AJ over the years... I would just advise everyone to ALWAYS do your own research, no matter the source of your info. Trust your own intuition... If what AJ speaks feels like the truth to you, cool... If not... Stay away from his info...

my only complaint is that i could care less on whats going on at infowars dot com, i think trying to siphon the raw fundraising power from the political grassroot camp whod dump 2300 dollars on a darkhorse "no-shot" candidate to a commercially motivated endeavor which plays into the paranoia that runs rampant in this particular segment of society is shameful. i also think its ludicrous how people will cite these associated brands of websites as viable resources as if it substantiated rock solid evidence for some paranoid conspiracy.
i do support questioning everything and combing through governmental actions with a fine tooth comb, but theres something about the ol' sayin that if you 'go diggin for dirt, youll probably find it' could apply to much of the cherrypicked conspiracy evidence that floods that particular community. Its just a shame to see it leak over to a fine forum such as this which seems like, by the title of the website, should probably stick to all things politics and all things ron paul.

I started out laughing at him. Then I started laughing with him. I ended up agreeing with most of what he has to say. Let's not forget that he's supported Ron Paul for much longer than most of us.

As with any and everything I read or listen to or watch I try to discern what truth I can from it. Over the years Alex has enlightened me on certain subjects, sometimes I agree, sometimes I disagree but he is a very important figure and a really good source of info for the new-comers into the truth movement as well as for the seasoned veterans.

I think he's a fraud and a liar. I don't think he even believes the conspiracy theories he propagates. He's just trying to make a buck taking advantage of gullible people. He's also been using Dr. Paul, trying to make it seem like Dr. Paul is a conspiracy kook.
