Subway sandwich contest: Homeschoolers not wanted

Reading the Subway contest rules, you have to use THEIR suggested sentences in a 500 words or less submission. From the article:
Contestants are urged to write, in 500 words or less, a story that has a beginning, middle, and end using one of four provided story starters:

The Mysterious Meatball
When the invitation to the Meatball came in the mail...

Turkey Doesn't Live Here Anymore
There was a loud knock on the door, but when Salami Sam opened it ...

The Race to Red Onion Ranch
Everyone gathered in the center of town for the start of the race except ...

Nothing Better
The smell of fresh baked bread coming from the store was so good that ...

The contest, launched in January, has a deadline of June 30, 2008

When the invitation to the Meatball came in the mail--the homeschooled children realized that the "meatballs" in charge of the contest were attacking their civil liberties!"

OR:

There was a loud knock on the door, but when Salami Sam opened it ...He realized that the turkeys didn't live here anymore--because they were all working for Subway, and had been put in charge of the sandwich contest!"

What are they..more Communists? Gotta have the government educating the kids? Just LOOOVE to have our country borrowing money from the Communists to keep us afloat? I wouldn't eat there..they obviously would be front runners in GMO foods and other heinous practices...

I went to my Subway where I often had lunch before work and gave a copy to the manager. He knows me very well and agreed it seems to him that this is discrimination. He said thank you and let the other people in the kitchen read it. I could'nt tell what they were all commenting about, but there was definely conversion. I left a copy on my table as I left only to see my spot taken by another customer who picked it up and started reading it. I work on campus and will leave copies around for the students.

... and I am going to distribute it to each Subway restaurant that I used to eat at. I will hand it to the managers and cashiers and explain I will never eat at their restaurants anymore until their headquarters shuts down this contest, or allows homeschooled children to participate. I will make sure customers hear my complaint and give them a copy if they wish to accept one. I personally know many managers and cashiers because I've frequented their places for 13 years. This is just awful and I won't put up with this bullshit.

Educational institutions are typically against homeschooling. It's a match made in heaven.

The only thing worth eating at Subway is the meatball sandwich but I can live without it. Matter of fact, can't remember the last time I had one.
