Now there is a man

Whether or not Dr. Paul was

Ooops, this was supposed to be a response to "BillyDee's" comment below.

Whether or not Dr. Paul was "blacked out" because of the FED or because he's anti-war, or because he's honest, doesnt' make a bit of difference. The fact is that he HAS been blacked out in an unprecedented manner compared to the rest of the 'top tier' candidates. Look at how he was treated in the debates. When a politician is honest, logical, and actually for civil liberties and free markets, against unjust taxation, unjust wars of aggression and empire building, it SHOULD by all rights be one of the biggest news stories of the century. Instead, what do we get...... smear jobs, Paul supporters painted as "kooks", and terms like "longshot candidate" floated by scum like O'Reiley and Hannity. The whole MSM reaction to this phenomonon is completely illogical UNLESS you see it for what it is. The Banking Elite (including the FED) own the media and don't want the 'serfs' hearing too much about the constitution, sound money, inflation and free markets. They might allow a few rare interviews here and there to leave the illusion that the media is fair and balanced, and to deceive the public into believing they aren't being manipulated.

GREAT VIDEO!

"first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks...will deprive the people of all property" -Thomas Jefferson

Interesting

I posted this yesterday, and today Ron Paul described the Fed and its owners as "sinister." I must be psychic to have found this!

I love this guy

What a clear and concise explanation of our problem.

...and Ron Paul has INDEED been blacked out by the MSM. Ask yourself this question - if the democratic party has dismissed one of its state's conventions because one of the two candidates was about to lock up a substantial share of delegates - do you think it would be on the evening news? I think so.

I'm starting to get sick to my stomache.

Good until he starts getting into the conspiracy theory

stuff about the MSM trying to silence Paul because he's talking about the Federal Reserve. That's really far fetched. Fox Business channel, for example, had a few very lengthy in-detail interviews with Paul about the Federal Reserve and let him explain his position in full. For example: http://www.youtube.com/wa...

And CNBC as well: http://www.youtube.com/wa...

Billy Dee! Pimpin for Barr!

Hows that workin out for ya/!?

I have a thought I keep close to my heart every day ..
"Ron Paul will win in the most spectacular way!!!"

Aren't you glad these guys

Aren't you glad these guys aren't better at it than they are?

LOL

Did you hear Ron Paul's "conspiracy theory" speech tonight? BTW, do you know who Ron Paul is?

the Barr and Root trolls now out to attack Murray Sabrin

Whos next I wonder.
"Conspiracy theorist"??
So now you want to turn us against Ron Paul Republicans who were endorsed by the Good Doctor?
lol
Shame on you

Not at all

I donated to Sabrin's campaign. I advocate that everyone else do as well. I'm just saying he's hurting the message by adding in the silly, and clearly false, conspiracy theory stuff. It makes me wonder if he actually believes that himself, or he's just saying that to get people hyped up. If he actually believs it, then I have to conclude that he's a bit kooky. But, I still support him, because it's a harmless kookiness.

Riiiiiiiighht

No, no one ever acts purposefully. How astute you are.

So you think there was no media BlacK Out of Ron Paul?

No plot against him to shut him up?

Ron Paul

No blackout or plot to shut him up.

Did you not see the links I posted above?

If they exist, then how can you say that there was a blackout?

I can give you lots more links to interviews in the MSM if you want.
Obviously there was not a blackout, or these links would not exist. Are you saying they're computer generated or something?

Proof Of Media Blackout

BillyDee, take a look at this and then say there's no blackout:

Do You Know What Blackout Means?

It means its spiked, buried, unfairly and inaccurately discredited. Did you actually pay attention to the campaign, or to the media coverage?

That's not what it means

A blackout means that there was no coverage. "Black" as in total darkness. Maybe you mean brownout. Imagine how Alan Keynes must feel. He's been running all along and is still running. Now there's a blackout (and he's not even talking about the Federal Reserve, so come on conspiracy theorists out there, what explain that? What is the MSM trying to keep you from hearing from him?).

You're Confused

It means that the information is not getting out, a blackout can take many forms, some sophisticated, some not. For instance, I'm sure you've heard of Ron Paul -- anyway, he recently gave one example where he complained to a moderator during a break at one of the debates that he didn't get a question for a very long time, and asked the moderator about it. The moderator pointed to his earpiece and said he had to follow the instructions he got. Just one example. If you insist, I'll explain further later.

Anyway, you're not helping your credibility by describing situations you don't agree with as "conspiracy theories" -- that's just a substitute for thinking. A "conspiracy theory" is simply an explanation or a cause you don't agree with. Most people who use that phrase simply believe in a different "conspiracy theory." What is it about Ron Paul's and Murray Sabrin's positions regarding the undue influence of the bankers on the media is it that you disagree with? What research has led you to this conclusion? In other words, try to use argument to back up your buzz words, you might win some converts over here.

Good luck, but try harder next time!

What's so sinister about

a producer communicating with the moderator to focus on the bigger name candidates? All televised debates always give more time to those candidates who are most popular. This is a programming decision to satisfy the viewing audience who want to hear from the people they're interested in, as determined by polls. It's not at attempt to silence someone because of what he's saying. Duncan Hunter was given less time in debates than Dr. Paul. What conspiracy theory explains that?

Can you prove bankers influence on the media, as in actual records of discussions or is it just assertions without evidence that they are directing media not to discuss the Federal Reserve? Never mind that it's not even true that the media doesn't allow Paul to discuss the Federal Reserve.

I’m going to go out on

I’m going to go out on a limb and take you at your word that you really do want to learn. I may perhaps expand this in another thread for people who genuinely want to know. Many Paul supporters are already familiar with these works, of course, but others may not be.

I’m tempted to begin by referring you to a monograph by the renowned economist Murray Rothbard called “Wall Street, Banks and American Foreign Policy.” In it, Rothbard focuses on the influence of banking institutions (and, of course, the individuals who run them) on the mainstream political parties but he also touches on the corresponding influence on the major news providers, what is now called the “mainstream media.” In this monograph, Rothbard is a bit blunter than in his more academic works, but it’s a good read. You can buy it, but you can also find it at mises.org. I won’t give you a direct link, because I’m hoping while you look for it you’ll find some others worth reading -- maybe even Bastiat, Mises, or Hayek!

But the real reason I wouldn’t recommend starting with that work is because I think it’s important to first have a basic understanding of banking. There are several good sources, but I think the best is, again, Rothbard’s "The Mystery of Banking". This is now out of print and will cost you a couple of bills to get it, but you can read it for free at the forementioned website. (Again, you’ll have to search).

I would also suggest you read Carroll Quigley’s "Tragedy and Hope". You’re probably familiar with him as Bill Clinton’s professor at Georgetown. Quigley’s interesting, because he had inside information he was privy to, and he actually approved of the “conspiracy” (as you would put it) of international financial interests to influence media and capture the political process. He felt it was for the “good” of the people (or so Quigley claimed; I think he may have simply wanted to out them without losing his status as a Georgetown scholar). A good read, again, and it is a comprehensive history of the twentieth century, but with plenty of background to show how we got to where we are (or were; it was written in the 60's). The end of it is a particularly brilliant, insightful and inspired piece of writing. The books about a thousand pages, and is, or should be, required reading for anyone curious about recent world history.

This is interesting, thanks. I’ll have some other thoughts and sources in the coming weeks. A useful exercise, after all.

Enjoy!

You Sure Like That Phrase, Don't You?

Anyway, the other candidates are only bigger names because the media made them so. Did Giluliani get more votes or raise more money than Ron Paul? No, he didn't.

And in any event, either you're pretending or you're really not cognizant of political campaign coverage and how it influences elections. You have millions of dollars of free coverage to guys who are "safe" that an "unapproved" candidate can't match -- did you notice any disparity in "soft" coverage among the candidates? If not, you should have. You may not be old enough, but remember when Time (back when print media mattered) in 1976 put an obscure Georgia governor on its cover with a full-blown story? It made him the front-runner out of other "popular" candidates. In any event there are numerous examples. You have to read history, and watch what goes on, in order to discuss it.

If you're serious, and really want to learn, I'll make some suggestions for you to read. I'll provide you with, for instance, some history of the control the banks and their interests have had on American political parties and the increasingly concentrated media oligarchy. You'll have to make some effort, but it's worth it. I have to go to the store, but I'll be back later to give them to you. But it's up to you to read them.

Maverick Murrayy is America's toughest campaigner

the stupid GOP hacks want to lose this race and support Old School NeoCons
I hope once Murray wins he changes the whole NJ GOP and throws out all the hucksters
