I just got back-stabbed by a fellow RP supporter so they could further their political career, ordered to vote the party line by another RP supporter, and endured a rant about why we needed to invade Iran by another RP supporter. At this fine site, I brought the story from an email a friend had sent. I was criticized for forgetting quotations, accused of not attributing the article (which it was attributed) - in the face of a story that should have made a pair of quotation marks a pretty forgivable omission.
I have let my home fall apart, my yard is dead except the tiny garden I have nursed along, I am broke, and emotionally exhausted. I am a Ron Paul delegate, and I am half afraid that I am wasting time and money that I really ought to be using to get out of the country.

Think of Goldwaters famous line and never think you cannot speak your Conservative GOP Elephant Brains Out even among wolves!!!

disheartening us is exactly the tactic that they are using nation wide, disheartening through corruption, foul play, bypassing bylaws, whatever it takes. giving up for the sake of it being too much to bear is only giving up a voice of victory to those of us who would see the GOP to be better.

Remember youre not supporting a corrupt party. youre trying to take the party back from the corrupt.

I understand your task is daunting. The enemies of our nation have no conscious and are willing to do anything to maintain power.

But keep this in mind young men and women in uniform are giving up legs, arms, the ability to hear and see. That is if they are not killed.

Today's Republican Party has definitely been hijacked by the Neocons. I don't know if true conservatives will be able to reclaim the Republican Party, but we can only do our best as we work for a cause that is bigger than any I've ever worked for before.

This has really become a thread of encouragement for all of us.

What started out as support for Liberty Girl has come to be a collection of exhortations for all of us to embrace. We all need these reminders to keep forging on ahead in the good fight.

This whole thread: copy, paste, keep for reference when you're running out of steam. What a great, tenacious, supportive group we have here, and I for one am thankful to be among your number!!!

go there and say what you have to say. your not the only one who feels that way and its people like you speaking out that will let them know we aren't going to take it anymore.

but think about the consequences of giving up. Americans are waking up and you have a chance to make history. Fight it until they finally give up.

But, remember...that is exactly what they want. So please don't give up. Come back here and vent. But while you're there let them see how much better the Paulers are. Honest and decent. How strong we are. How determined. Kill them with kindness.

Please don't give up. I know how you feel. I want to resign as committeewoman sooo badly, but my being there and calmly continuing our message is powerful and I would never forgive myself if I gave that up. I know it's hard, but hold in your anger and outsmart the SOBs. Patience.

Keep this in mind when you are building that bridge: It's no longer about "party". It's about WE THE PEOPLE vs. Big Brother. "They" want us to keep thinking in terms of party....why? Divide and conquor!!! That's why....anything to keep our eye off the ball of what's REALLY going on.

Over the last couple of days I've recieved robo calls from McCain, Romney and Senator Wayne Allard. They all referenced unity repeatedly. McCain's even talked about a "devisive" element that must be stopped.
They seem to be really concerned about Ron Paul folks. Maybe it's because the delegates are not bound. I'm really disappointed that I will have to sit through a Mittins speech and the Doctor was denied a speaking time. I get 15 seconds to speak. What the hell am I supposed to say in 15 secs?

It won't be any less corrupt if you give your seat up.

Talk about the things we have in common. This way you are true to the cause and you have not offended. Build a bridge there are many even inside the movement that can be won.Remember diamond come from a lump of coal. We just have to polish it up. After the state convention there will be alot more talking about the issues. Keep your head up your a patriot. Have your down moments but then pick up your bootstraps there are battles to win. Remember middle ground is the best place to start. Believe it or not we are winning hearts and minds all the time. Don't try to win the war just get through the battles. The main thing you need to remember is you have alot of us out here who love you and share your heart. Make us proud build the bridge. So people can come across. don't make it to complicated. Take baby steps. As long as they are moving forwards we are getting somewhere.

I went through this last month after our district convention. The Chair wouldn't let one of our delegates speak 3 minutes for Ron Paul. After a point of order, we managed to get a vote, but following the chair's lead we lost.

Even so, I went on to be elected to a position on the platform committee. It was the best thing I've done so far in the Republican party. We were able to get strong Ron Paul ideas on the platform. And at other times I just envisioned myself as Ron Paul when I voted the only nay in the group.

One of the GOP leadership people, unknowingly or perhaps on purpose, wrote an insulting letter about us. Two regular Republicans besides myself called him to task. That means even some regular Republicans are sickened by these tactics.

The thing to remember is that we are the Republicans who have picked the conservative candidate. Ron Paul is the candidate with all the integrity and honor. You can be so proud of yourself. You are part of Ron Paul history. Go get em!!!!

All I can say is that you should be encouraged that you are not alone, and you are lucky enough to have a large group of like-minded people supporting your work, and working for the same goals themselves.

I've been at this game for over 30 years, and right now is the best progress that we've EVER made.

The biggest headache and drink-in-the-face that you can give these Stalinists is to persevere in your endeavors to affect change.

Remember, this is a peaceful R3VOLution and the alternative to education, conventional political action that you are undertaking, and civil disobedience that might be necessary is tyranny or violent revolution. Personally I was hoping to avoid the alternative.

I quit about every 15 minutes some days - just cry, scream, have a pissy-fit. Then get up and carry on. Imagine you go ahead and quit - then what? Will you sleep better wondering who is in your place? Will you go back to your "old" life and never give Ron Paul or Liberty another thought? I KNOW what it is to be at the end of the rope, here is the running joke with my best RP-supporter friend: I would throw in the towel if I could just find it. He and I have both searched for months and come to this conclusion: No towels left... Drip dry and carry on!
I don't want to spoil the great news out of Idaho, but let me just say it is not all peaches and cream here. We are going to have to FIGHT tooth and nail for CONSERVATIVE values in the "reddest of the red states."
Oh - and you can't click your heels together and get back to Kansas either, I have bruises on my feet and I am still in Idaho - lol!

yet, if you give up now, I have a feeling that you will have a hard time dealing with not seeing this though. Even though you don't know me, you are my representative and I am very proud of everything that you're putting up with including all of the dirty tricks that they are pulling.

In the years to come you will know the taste of victory, because it is the supreme value of your convictions that will be revealed to you. It is exactly that strength in you that is really what they are trying to take away from you.

They can take away everything else and win, but they will never have won over your morals and your ideals as relates to what is right and just, no matter what. You are fighting with principles and they don't like that!

My dad is an alternate delegate in delta county.. he was told that many delegates from Delta were not coming to the convention on saturday and that he had an excellent chance of moving into a delegate position! DON'T GIVE UP! the think that really made me mad was that supposidly Romney was supposed to speak at the convention Saturday! where my dad got his info I don't know but what a crock if that is true.. we specifically asked for Ron Paul to speak and it was shot down by Wadhams (state gop chair) because as far as they were concerned mcicnsane was the party nominee... if Romney speaks for McCain Saturday its going to get ugly!
