Obama, McCain, Barr, Nader, Baldwin, "Green" or Abstain... PICK ONE
I hate to tell you, but if a lightning bolt hits McCain then they will pick some GOP insider like Romney at the convention in his stead, not Ron Paul.
And writing in Ron Paul in the few states where he is even allowed to run is effectively abstaining.
So the only practical choices are:
1) Obama (Dem)
2) McCain (GOP)
3) Barr (Libertarian)
4) Nader (independent)
5) Baldwin (Constitution)
6) TBD (The Green Party)
7) Abstain
Supporting which choice is most effective with furthering the interests of the Ron Paul R3EVOLUTION to bring liberty back to our government?

Ron Paul
Well one of the Barr
supporters thinks very highly of Rupert Murdoch so I wonder if it is too late to get him on board for the Revolution?
I Support Barr
Vote for whoever you want. I'm voting for Barr.
We know Paul leads by example. Well Paul always gives politicians the benefit of the doubt when they express genuine regret and change their mind; for this is the goal!
For example, Paul refused to discuss Romney's Pro-Choice past during the campaign because Romney was campaigning on Pro-Life. Paul rewarded Romney by only debating his foreign policy and monetary policy.
More recently, Paul says he will endorse McCain if McCain changes his opinion on a myriad of issues. Paul knows this is unlikely. Yet Paul consistently lets it be known that he would endorse McCain in this unlikely scenario. What is he trying to tell us?
I will support politicians, regardless of their past, when they speak sincerely about being Libertarian after hearing our persuasive messages. With only 5-15% of the vote, my goal is to educate people for growth. I will not compromise my principles for growth. But I will show politicians that when they have a change of opinion based on our educational campaigns, I will reward them with my support.
Paul said the Revolution was not about him, it was about the message. In regards to Barr, I hear Barr campaigning today on a message consistent with Paul. And Barr will be on the ballot in at least 48 states.
R U
LOST?
I don't care what kind of verbiage you throw in that statement.
My heels are firmly planted on this one!
I want to thank all of you Barr followers
for coming here and truly galvanizing the real Ron Paul supporters and the real Revolution forward. You have done us a great service by showing us who is who and what is what and given us a boost to move forward and seperate the old from the new. As far as number 7- Ron Paul all of the way.

This is funny...
After super Tuesday my staunchly liberal uncle and I were emailing about the general in November. I told him then that I would either write in Ron Paul or Britney Spears, because I thought the presidential press conferences would be much more interesting. He figured he'd write in the Obama-crush girl. He claims the red shorts in her youtube video do something for him. Go Britney!

Creating a Ron Paul voluntary voter registry
That will track EXACTLY how many votes Ron gets in the election. Then all the freedom lovers go vote and sign up, and when the RPVR releases their vote count we'll see how close it is to the official vote count. In a corrupt system this would be a way for us to challenge the vote count.

Oh, and by the way, the "Pick One" talking point to persuade people to forget principle and promote pragmatism and advocate for "lesser of evils" has been making the rounds on all the Neocon web-rags for weeks.
What a surprise that it showed up here, and with such an "unlikely" messenger, eh?
All of it
so predictable.

How is voting Paul abstaining?
That is like saying giving money to Ron Paul is like giving it to another candidate. I thought Paul supporters were smart. Many Barr spam... I mean supporters say you need to vote for him to spread the message but Barr's message is not the Revolutions message. Why would you want to spread a diluted Neoconnish message. You can argue that Barr's message isn't Neoconnish but that is what I along with many other people think. I would never spread Barr/Roots message and have people think that is what true freedom is. We are in the position we are in now because we made comprimises like this. Well he supports the drug war but hey he is good on taxes. The point does not need to br brought up again about how his voting record is horrid. He is "ex"-CIA. I dont want the Doc's named attached to a visionless ignorant watered down message. I will write Paul in and that is not abstaining. I wouldn't vote for Barr even If Dr. Paul said to.
It's not. Write him in. I

I wish you people would quit coming on here and trying to tell others who they can or can't vote for. Please delete this thread.
Baldwin
I've watched some of his videos and I think he might surprise allot of people if he can get into a debate. Lets hope Ron Paul give's Chuck the nod if he's not going to run himself.
I especially like his response about the Federal Reserve... if we don't know who they are.... why pay them anything?

Sincerity is irrelevant
It's about getting the public to hear the message, whether sincere or not.
Neither Barr not Baldwin are going to be elected president, so it doesn't matter if they're sincere.
The public won't hear the
The public won't hear the message. Just as they hardly heard it with Ron Paul, a multi decade long republican. If Barr all of a sudden starts getting mad media attention, it should alert us to the fact something just isn't right. Libertarian ideas are a direct threat to how the media makes money. Oh, and when was the last time you saw a Libertarian from the LP up on stage during a debate of either major party???? The only reason that we are even on this site is because Ron Paul was smart enough to become Republican. We have to work the system or we'll just keep getting worked by it. If you want to vote for Barr....be my guest. But please dont come here and start spamming the forums with bedr1 for Barr. We have more important candidates to donate our money and votes to.....like all of the Ron Paul Republicans that Ron Paul has actually endorsed.

With Barr, there is no message, at least not one relevant to what most Paul supporters care about (abolishing the Fed; ending foreign intervention; ending the wod; etc.,etc.). We can all say what needs to be done, but who here led by example today?
Think back oruval
Do you recall this very same person going into a tizzy and probably deleated posts over topics that would "hurt Ron Pauls campaign" but now suddenly we find that Ron has no chance so pick someone else!! Wow, totally amazing hypocrite.
Taking into account the probability of getting them
into the debates, my choice is Barr. Baldwin is good, but there is no way he will be able to get in the debates. Barr is the best chance for a libertarian or libertarian-leaning message to be heard in the televised debates, since he already has some name recognition and a party bigger than the Constitution Party, i.e. the Libertarian Party, backing him.
The Revolution is not about picking a president. The American people, en masse, are not ready to accept a libertarian or strict-Constitutionalist president. The Revolution, at this stage, is simply about getting some kind of libertarian message heard. It's about educating and preparing the public for a future libertarian president, decades from now. Just as it was with Dr. Paul, it's just about getting in the debates and in the news, and writing books. Without Barr in the debates, there will only be McCain and Obama up there on the stage. Is that what you want?
You are right. The American
You are right. The American public is NOT ready for Libertarian ideas. Why? Because anyone that promotes them is marginalized. So why vote for a Libertarian if nobody is ready? To get Barr into the debates? He won't be there. He'll be off on his own with the Green Party on some debate that nobody even watches. Therefore, money and votes should go to those who are libertarian republicans imo. That way, when the GOP is taken over, the media will have nothing BUT that message to bring forth. There is a reason Ron Paul isn't running 3rd party and isn't endorsing anything but Ron Paul Republicans. 3rd parties stand absolutely no chance of gaining any traction whatsoever. If they marginalize a multi decade Republican with Libertarian leanings, what makes you think they will all of a sudden toss Barr into the limelight? They wont. If they do, that should be a red flag that something is amiss.
What are you talking about?
I didn't say Libertarian. I said libertarian (small l). Dr. Paul is a libertarian.
"If you believe in liberty, you are a libertarian. The best libertarians we've ever had in this country were our Founding Fathers. They believed in civil liberties, economic liberties, and they believed in a non-intervention foreign policy." -Ron Paul
I'm saying most Amercans aren't ready to accept liberty. This stage of the Revolution is just about introducing them to libertarian ideas.

Okay, I'll bite. I'll write in Ron Paul.
I know someone who's thought is to vote for the worst possible guy, which he sees as Obama, on the theory that things will get bad so much more quickly that it will hasten the Revolution. I don't necessarily buy it, but it's an interesting theory. You could plug in almost anyone that you see as the "worst."
