.. is there more candidates proclaiming his issues? Sometime actions speak louder than words and even though the mainstream media isn't acknowledging it Ron Pauls success...it's pretty apparent that his success is very noticable to those in the business. We are making huge strides and the successes in state conventions of Washington, Nevada, Idaho and Texas as well as others will continue to keep the fires burning. The Revolution March.. the National Convention... and activity at our local level is going to continue to make those in power aware that we are here and we're not going away.

We have got to get the two camps talking. If it could be arranged, it would wake up so many people in this country, that we would have real change in 2009 and not have to wait until 2012.
What we should do is get Jesse Ventura to attend and speak at the D.C. march. If a third party run is in the cards, then this act alone could get the ball rolling.
people are focused on the two lame nominees, and yawning.........neither one of them stand for anything but status quo. The time is ripe, to throw a monket wrench in the two party system. This time, it may work. Ron Paul just needs to get his message out. The GOP hacks have seen to it that, so far, it hasn't. Many, many people are tired of the GOP/DEM rule.....they see it for what it is, but they don't see a viable alternative. Ron Paul stands on the threshold of re-inventing American politics! But, he's got to lead the way unabashedely. Be Bold - Be a Leader -don't follow the GOP bums any longer.
Strike out new, with a bold choice for VP - Jesse Ventura..........and go full speed ahead. Ron Paul would get more media attention than he would know what to do with! The GOP isn't even going to let RP speak at their convention, for goodness sakes. Showing further loyalty to them only compromises Ron Paul's integrity. Without Ron Paul leading a third party revolt, it want go anywhere. He's got the intellect, the experience, the inegrity, and now, pretty strong name recognition. It's now, or never.
But I would suggest the Ventura ran for President and Ron Paul for Vice President. Why?
Because many states have ballot restrictions, that if a candidate ran in the primaries in one party, then he can't be on the ballot in the general election for a different party. But Ron Paul would be running for a different office and Jesse Ventura didn't run in a primary.
So, with the combination we get easier ballot access and two people in the Executive branch of government that will fight for the people.
I believe that we can't let this chance slip away. The time is right, and if we wait, it will be too late.
Right now this country has over a million people that voted for Ron Paul. A lot more than that liked Ron's philosophy but didn't vote for him because of the "wasted vote" phenomenom.
If Ron and Jesse don't win, I would venture to guess that they would come close and in the process, they would educate millions of Americans.
If we want to spread the word, about freedom, personal liberty, limited taxes and government and adherence to the Constitution, then this is the best way.
not something that governments have been able to completely erase, try though they do. For varying lengths of time, governments have resorted to either bribery or oppression or a blend of both, but always they collapse after the passage of some length of time.
Of course there is staying power, does a drowning man stop swimming? What other choice is there except to fight with everything we have until nothing is left. Then we fight some more and if that doesn't work we fight. Then after thinking we can't fight anymore we remotivate ourselves by fighting. And if none of THAT works we fight harder! What better cause is there? Dr. Paul has given us this gift by opening our eyes.....who would throw that away by not fighting?
"The wicked flee when no man pursueth, but the righteous are as bold as a lion."
It depends on which message board you read. There's too much infighting inside the Revolution. You have your different religious factions --those pro-israel, those anti-israel. You have your 9/11 truthers and those who believe the government had nothing to do with it. You have your libertarians and your anti-libertarians. You have those who will switch to Obama because ending the war was their number one issue. The Ron Paul Revolution is filled with people from every facet of life...and watching message boards --a lot of them don't get along and won't get along with the Revolution ends. It's a shame. A Revolution is only as strong as it's people......The people are fighting everywhere. Those who believe that Alex Jones had a lot to do with bringing people into the Revolution and those who hate Alex Jones....I could go on and on with the different sides. But that being said...If everyone in the Revolultion worked together it could be a beautiful thing....but they can't. Just take for instance the number of supporters who want to write-in Ron Paul's name knowing that the votes won't be counted and that each state has a different rule reguarding write-in votes. Those that want Chuck Baldwin. Those that want Bob Barr. Those that will go over to Obama.
The Revolution vote will be split. That's a shame as well.
Anyone want to give me hope here? Prove me wrong? Show me the unity?
It is true that we are a strong willed group of people, definitely not a group of sheep. But at the end of the day, everyone of us is united in our unwavering support for Ron Paul. That may be all that matters.
I have no doubt, among those whom I know, that their support of Ron Paul will not waver. Paul's call has been heard, it is a call for the the return of this nation to its own people, a call for it to finally awake from its nightmare obsession to dominate the world. Now, at long last, we are turning to consider our own welfare, a turn which is glimpsed, being not fully hidden, within the exhausted rhetoric of the present Presidential Candidates -- the sounds of a dying Empire. Its death will be the rebirth of our nation.
that's why we have created a survey for Ron Paul supporters. We are trying to keep the revolution going and we need your input. Please go to www.maketheargument.org to take the survey.
I can't wait to see the results, but it's obvious that somebody's putting lots of thought into what it will take to move the Revolution forward. It's definitely possible for the movement to keep going, but it's going to require that the movement members have SOME semblance of a unified approach. I'm not talking about some EXACT, cookie-cutter approach for everybody, or about starting a new party or anything. I'm just saying there has to develop some sort of cogent and easily-recognized message....which is what it sounds like you folks are working on at www.makethearument.org.
will run through the end of June, and the results will be published, along with analysis and recommendations in early July. You can sign up at www.maketheargument.org to get the results.
In my humble opinion, the key to winning in the long run is to inform as many people as you can. The beautiful part of this is that it doesn't have to cost you one single penny. Just talk to as many people as you can. Attitude is contagious so spread yours. Once people are informed they will begin to wake up and take action. I know that the people that I have talked to began to think about what I have said and in the course of one conversation I could see there attitude change. The truth can only be surpressed for so long. Once attitudes change you will see the result in local government, then state government, then federal. Light the fire of liberty and watch it spread. In the mean time I have taken great pleasure in writing my elected officials and calling them to task on there policies.
That's what the campaign has been all about for me. I think the key now is to let it grow beyond Dr Paul and into the future. We're looking at electing candidates on a platform in many many elections for many years to come. This isn't about Ron Paul, it's about liberty. I think it's good to be more issue focussed now too. If we all champion our top issues, over time we will see liberty restored. And I imagine once the tree of liberty starts to take root, it will grow fast.
My issue is the money, and the rule of law. Of course restoring the rule of law means restoring the Constitution. And restoring rule of law means restoring sound honest money. And restoring the rule of law means holding government officials accountable when they break the law. Real simple. When I talk with friends about politics, they get a good dose of this.
I think we have to ramp up the energy though. We need some events, to get back on the news. I think the Marches are great ideas, and hopefully, we can get a massive number for July 12th in Washington and for the convention. Just imagine if we were a million strong at the convention! We need to get back to trying to make history!
We will prevail in the long term if we stick to principles like liberty, free markets and the rule of law. They are unshakable arguments.
I agree with the posters who point out that it is the age of RP supporters which makes the difference. You have to laugh at the level of denial of reality going on in the way the R establishment treats us - rueful laughter anyway. Who do they think is going to vote for them??? Don't they have the basic ability to look down the road and see the train coming? They are now experts in creating their own reality - very strange. "No we don't need voters". They must think they can spin it somehow or pull some trick out of their hat.
Also it will last because a lot of people like me have finally realized the extent of corruption re the war and permanent war plans and big govt and finally realized the connection between the welfare state, war and fiddling with the money supply. And so things make sense. Its the red pill everyone talks about.
Also I think a lot of leftists are starting to realize war and internationalism are corrupted, corrupting and maybe even some of them finally realize ANY and ALL govt (doesn't matter how nice the people are running it) will get corrupt and dangerous if it gets too big.
The way I see it, the establishment has been stacking the deck against us for a really long time. We need to do the very same thing. There is a reason why the Republicans and Democrats are both two sides of the same coin. What we need to do is make some very long term goals. We can't expect just to vote one guy in to the presidency and have him/her free us. We have to take over all facets of government, education, police, unions, etc.
We are all libertarians, and we are all individuals, but maybe the reason we are so behind in the fight, is because we aren't helping each other out as much as we should. For example, Libertarians need to help promote other libertarians. And I am not talking about party affiliation. Take one for the team. Look at how the politicians do it. All of the republicans, except for Ron Paul, endorsed some other guy as they dropped out. We need to do the same. We had tens of thousands of Ron Paul meetups. Now we need those very same people to stop being lazy, run for office, run for Sheriff, city council, etc. Don't just pick one guy to run and back him, get several people to run, and stack the deck, and as people drop out, throw your support to another libertarian. Hire libertarians. I am unemployed and it always pissed me off to know that if I could find a job, how much more money I could have donated to the cause. For example, my resume blows, but I am smart and hard working and a libertarian. If I owned a business I would rather hire a fellow freedom fighter with strong ethics than somebody with a slightly better resume who doesn't care one iota about freedom. There are enough of us to flood the gates of every city, county, and state office in the nation, but we have to work together. I think the main focus of the freedom revolution should be to set up a new meetup group, let all of the paulites know about it, get it going, and get those people to discuss how they are going to take over their local governments. I don't care how powerful we think the federal government is, it is nothing without the cooperation of the local governments. Same thing goes for unions, churches, teachers, etc.
We don't need to lie, we can still promote the message of freedom, but maybe we don't need to always be so vocal about it. For example, the establishment doesn't have to "sell" everybody on their message of tyranny. They simply say what they want and back each other up. We can do the same. Speak liberty and only back up liberty minded folks. Remember what the founding fathers said, "We had better hang together, or we will assuredly hang separately." What we need is to get people to not just educate but also plan on taking over key positions. We can do it. If one city had 100 paulites, they should all get together, and delegate who is going to run for which offices, how they will support each other etc.
This need not be just a Republican thing either, remember that. It would be a bummer for this to become a partisan issue. It's a freedom issue and should take over ALL parties. If you feel more comfortable in Democrats shoes, there is nothing wrong with that. We need to band together and see just how many offices we can take over two years from now all over the country. Remember, think globally, act locally. It's not up to you to worry about Idaho, or Florida, or California. Wherever you live, you need only worry about your city, county and state. That is it. Find the like minded individuals and work together, non-stop.
We can't expect just to vote one guy in to the presidency and have him/her free us.
I agree that we aren't electing a king who can decree wonderful change. We are electing a president who can veto legislation and is the Commander in Chief of the armed forces.
We have to take over all facets of government, education, police, unions, etc.
I now hold an elected position on town council. It takes a few hours a month, is boring, is frustrating to listen to fellow town council members who are registered Republican yet act like big-spending liberal Democrats, and it magnifies my voice.
Every one of us can run for town council / county commisioner / police & fire oversight boards / county GOP positions / state GOP committees. Please start taking these positions so that in two years we will have a widespread base of local elected Ron Paul Republicans.
especially regarding meet-ups; libertarians/constitutionalists having more than one candidate run and then endorsing the remaining candidate as they drop out.
I can testify that once you learn (as long as you believe) about the CFR, Federal Reserve, etc., it changes you forever and makes you want to never quit fighting. Ron Paul is a hero in my eyes, and I am proud to stand with you all in spirit!
"The lost causes are the only causes worth fighting for." Jeff Smith on MR. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
Why think about it.... just do it. Yoda said there is only "do and not do".
There are plenty of summer festivals and fairs where you can rent a table and recruit new members... I've been doing them all spring and the response has been very very good. In the fall there are even more fall festivals.
As many have done... become a delegate or run for office.
Start a newsletter and distribute it everywhere you go... leave them at the bus stops, the gas stations, bath rooms, or go to the library and put a flier in every political book on the hot topics shelf.
I'm reminded of a old phrase: "when in doubt, run around scream and shout". Well he's a shout out to the GOP.... I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK...! ! !
"If we want to live in a free society, we need to break free from these artificial limitations on free debate and start asking serious questions once again." -Ron Paul, The Revolution: A Manifesto
I think so. It is growing daily. Obama & McCain's dirty laundry is being revealed. The only REAL candidate running is Ron Paul. We just have to keep the faith and energy to keep going.
to sign up as precinct leader on the RP web-site. I know it's too late for calling and canvassing but what you will gain is a list of e-mails, addresses and phone numbers for known supporters in your county.
Communication is how an Army survives. We must be sure that we are communicating our activities and accomplishments to ALL KNOWN SUPPORTERS.
What if Ron Paul endorses a candidate, what if he wants us to go NOTA? How can we expect the message to reach all supporters if we don't send it? You think the media will? Do you think EVERY RP supporter knows that RP has called us to St. Paul? Don't you think more will go if we play Paul Revere and send word? I do. Sign up now before the access is gone and it's too late.
On top of this it will send a message to Ron Paul and the campaign that we are still here and are under his direction.
In-fact, we should have a Precinct Leader Bomb. What do you think?
That's like asking me if I have the will to live. Ron Paul and this revolution has changed my life. So, yes, this political movement does have staying power and it will prevail. It might not happen for us in 2008, but the future is ours!
one we should be able to remain unified and in contact with eachother. If it is not Ron Paul in 08, I feel bad for whoever it is because I think this presidency will be dissected by us for the next four years. They won't be able to fart without one of us on dailypaul catching wind of it. Let's stick together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is what I am hoping, exactly. Watch every move. Watch all our Congressmen. Threaten and then follow through when they do not vote in a constitutional manner. THWART the NAU and the Globalist's agenda with every beat of our Patriotic hearts. They already declared war on us, and we were trying to play nice for the sake of our candidate. No more.
I’ve been chuggin’ along for 30 years (more like 31 years, I guess). We lived just outside Rapid City, South, Dakota. I think my parents knew of Ron Paul, but I was just 16 years old.
Why give up on this nation? Even if it gives up on me, why throw in the towel? I don’t know why anyone would even consider it. Wouldn’t you at least want to fight for the next generation?
I respectfully pose this question to all who read this comment: Do some of you guys bring up these kinds of quandries from time to time because you personally are afraid you’ll drop out of the patriotic movement, because you’re afraid others will drop out, or both (not to imply anything. …just an honest question)?
The Paul movement is part of a larger, and pre-existing, movement for liberty. I think it's important to keep that in mind.

If...
a Paul/Ventura ticket could get ballot access... and be allowed in the debates...
I think they could win the presidency. I really do. The good doctor might finally get some media attention.
I think Obama's cult might be some competition, but that's just cuz he keeps saying "change". Paul/Ventura could really represent change.
I heard that RP would have to give up his seat in Congress to run as a 3rd party candidate though... anyone know if that's true?
Absolutely!

We need to play their own game against them
The way I see it, the establishment has been stacking the deck against us for a really long time. We need to do the very same thing. That is it. Find the like minded individuals and work together, non-stop.
local power
Right On!
Thank you for your service and thanks for the reminder. People need to get involved.
Enjoyed your comments.
especially regarding meet-ups; libertarians/constitutionalists having more than one candidate run and then endorsing the remaining candidate as they drop out.
It makes you want to never quit fighting
I can testify that once you learn (as long as you believe) about the CFR, Federal Reserve, etc., it changes you forever and makes you want to never quit fighting. Ron Paul is a hero in my eyes, and I am proud to stand with you all in spirit!
"The lost causes are the only causes worth fighting for." Jeff Smith on MR. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
Amen, Brother!
Darn proud to stand with you!!!
"ditto!"
Once you look behind the curtain, it's never the same.
What Would YODA Do ?
Ramblin Randy
Absolutely! I'm not going
Absolutely! I'm not going anywhere except forward!
Just became precinct commiteeman for SNOWFLAKE AZ
patriot7
and recruited 3 others, yes there is staying power here.
ONWARD WITH THE REVOLUTION!!!!
Just became precinct commiteeman ...
inspirit, you are the man/woman! This is exactly how we will win.
They did this in Nevada, along with taking spots on state-wide GOP committees (rules committee and others). This is how they dominated in Nevada.
inspirit is walking the walk.
Welcome aboard
Welcome to the AZ Revolution.
Be the Miracle!

Can you make a shoe smell?
There's your answer.
"If we want to live in a free society, we need to break free from these artificial limitations on free debate and start asking serious questions once again." -Ron Paul, The Revolution: A Manifesto
Does the RP movement have the STAYING POWER to prevail?
I think so. It is growing daily. Obama & McCain's dirty laundry is being revealed. The only REAL candidate running is Ron Paul. We just have to keep the faith and energy to keep going.
It will be up to each of us.
It will be up to each of us. I think the Pro 2nd. Amend people are the best ally.
I encourage everyone who hasn't done so,
to sign up as precinct leader on the RP web-site.
Good Advice
to sign up as a precinct leader to get a list of fellow supporters.
That's like asking me if I
That's like asking me if I have the will to live. Ron Paul and this revolution has changed my life. So, yes, this political movement does have staying power and it will prevail. It might not happen for us in 2008, but the future is ours!
As long as we have some sites like this
one we should be able to remain unified and in contact with eachother.
This is what I am hoping,
This is what I am hoping, exactly. No more.
Let’s stay in the patriotic movement for the long haul, gang.

All I got to say is
lets get prepared for 2010 and 2012. LONG LIVE THE REVOLUTION!!
Not the RP movement alone
The Paul movement is part of a larger, and pre-existing, movement for liberty. I think it's important to keep that in mind.

Dr. Paul says Barr is an ally (http://www.newsweek.com/i...)
and would do "a very good job" as president (http://www.youtube.com/wa...).
Watch for Barr on the Colbert Report Jun 4, and on the Glenn Beck Program Jun 5.
Helllll yes!
Hope is on the way!

I´m here for life. :)
a sure sign of Staying Power is a Dating Weblink
Few Democrats and Republicans are made, most are just born into it.
Children born into the Revolutionary movement is a healthy sign of staying power.
In Peace and Liberty,
Treg
lol This is true!
Where there is "dating" you know people plan to stay. They are thinking of the long term. Funny. Thanks, Treg.
