It's difficult to conceive the results of what the video is suggesting. Such a "redesign" of the internet would almost surely collapse the world economy.
Furthermore, it seems like if this is a real plan, it might be prudent for google to begin investing in creating its own ISP network.
I hope Im right but Net neutrality is BS

only that you will have extremely limited access to any websites, like only a few MSM sites. Any other sites will be blocked. There will be no more "free" websites. If you want more than a couple of websites to look at, then you have to pay extra, who knows how much, like $100 more a month. I guess free websites like youtube and myspace would vanish, and message forums like this.
Imagine signing on to your computer and then only being able to go to Fox News bulletins or Google's paid ads.
We need to stop this now.
The article someone provided below from the Nation said:
"If Americans are to succeed in designing an equitable digital destiny for themselves, they must mount an intensive opposition similar to the successful challenges to the FCC's media ownership rules in 2003."
and burn all the videos you can for dissemination later. Don't wait, they will pull the plug when thing really heat up.
I might add that McCain's side kick; Connecticut Senator, Lieberman is now working to shut down You Tube military video's, and you know how they stuff every other bill with subjects that are not related to the original Bill.
The nation's largest telephone and cable companies are crafting an alarming set of strategies that would transform the free, open and nondiscriminatory Internet of today to a privately run and branded service that would charge a fee for virtually everything we do online.
Verizon, Comcast, Bell South and other communications giants are developing strategies that would track and store information on our every move in cyberspace in a vast data-collection and marketing system, the scope of which could rival the National Security Agency. According to white papers now being circulated in the cable, telephone and telecommunications industries, those with the deepest pockets--corporations, special-interest groups and major advertisers--would get preferred treatment. Content from these providers would have first priority on our computer and television screens, while information seen as undesirable, such as peer-to-peer communications, could be relegated to a slow lane or simply shut out.
"Internet of today to a privately run and branded service that would charge a fee for virtually everything we do online." That's bad? You'd rather have a government run internet?
I agree with Dr. Paul. No net neutrality. Do not regulate the internet.
You don't think that cable and phone companies getting to decide what content we can access is scary! Look at the inane MSM. We don't need a "mainstream internet" too.
Private ownership and control of the means of production.
That's Paul's position too and why I support him. Government should not be involved. If someone owns a cable, he, or the group that owns it, should be allowed to decide what information travels through that cable.
Exactly. And until government turns away lobbyists, that won't be possible. The Telecoms are in bed with the federal government, so your idea of private ownership isn't exactly what is happening. Corporatism is different from capitalism.
was saying 2 years until they no longer need internet 1 because internet 2 will be fully implimented ! Then the main hubs are next subs after that! There are none so blind as those who will not see!
That is going to be the big question. It looks like we might still have some time to come up with something that will defeat those banksters, or should it be gangsters? to stop controlling the only medium where we can freely access information which is already totally inaccessible via main stream.
No access to info gets us where they had us for so many years..
I haven't got the answer but that it is in the pipeline I am sure.
How can we destabilise those in control? Their only means to be able to control us is the vast amounts of wealth they have amassed. A wealth they have created through bleeding everyone else dry.
The internet is hurting the
The internet is hurting the environment, so we have to cut back.
read - we dont have control over the internet so we have to shut it down.

That video is TOTAL BS
"Net Neutrality" is a goof ball term designed to make you you feel good about the government regulating the internet.
The issue:
Internet Infrastructure upgrades must be paid for.
How?
1.) "Net Neutrality": Consumers pay for it based on Gov't/Lobbyist( Google) decisions.
or
2.) Let the market work as it is now: Make the content suppliers/profiteers of the web pay for it.
LET THE MARKET WORK, keep government out of it.
hmm

Well...jeez!
it's not like you can just have a *open spectrum* where *just anyone* can broadcast and communicate with anyone however they like!
Or can you........? :P

Net Neutrality is a sham. WAKE UP PEOPLE
Dr Ron Paul voted against it.
NET NEUTRALITY = REGULATING THE INTERNET

Internet 2 is already ready.
Having problems with companies using the new system. Nobody wants to change. At some point, the change will happen.
It was in New Scientist magazine this week.
