FLDS elder decries 'terrorist acts' in letter to Bush
The letter to President Bush is signed by Willie Jessop, an FLDS elder.
Excerpts:
output"Mr. President, it does not require a foreign country to commit terrorist acts on American soil," the letter says. "Terrorist acts can be committed by federal, local, and private entities that are operating under the guise of 'protecting the public.' "
......."We are talking about homes being broken into without search warrants, unarmed fathers being forced to the ground with M16 rifles pointed at their heads, screaming children being torn from the arms of their grief-stricken mothers -- all upon American soil and within your own home state of Texas,"
But the raid "quickly escalated into a systematic terrorization of every man, woman, and child, seemingly designed to provoke a confrontation justifying deadly force, as was used in Waco, Texas."
"The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services interrogated young ladies, using techniques that showed an appalling disregard for human rights as the young ladies were mocked, vulgarly cursed, and threatened.
"Some were repeatedly and unmercifully interrogated the entire night about issues, subjects, and persons of which they had no knowledge."
When mothers were ordered separated from their children, the letter adds, it represented "the ultimate deception."
"That vast Sports Arena burst into cries and wails of heartsick mothers and screams of terrified children as a vast cortege of attendants swarmed the arena, tearing screaming children from their weeping mothers and physically carrying them away," the letter states.
"All that was missing in this 'Colosseum' was the lions."
"This is the most unprecedented 'kangaroo court' custody case in United States history, and judicial responsibility has been fumbled in a most outrageous way."

I bet those kids were better
I bet those kids were better educated than the trash in our public schools. Our schools don't even teach the fundamentals. I remember being in school and math class really sucked because I saw no real world application for it. Now that I am in the REAL WORLD I see a use for figuring out angles. I sometimes even wonder why You goto school for 12 years especially since You get out You don't even have the skills to get a decent blue collar job. Imagine a school that taught farming, auto motive repair, welding, carpentry, roofing, plumbing, and other usefull skills as a requirement not as an elective. I'm sure alot of those kids in the sect knew how to grow crops unlike most kids today. I love how the Government acts like they know whats best when most kids that go through public schools become total loosers while on the other hand most kids that i know that home schooled went out and became doctors or nurses.
They don't want people...
who can be self-sufficient... and armed to protect themselves.
You hit the nail on the head....
.
The only thing most kids are self-sufficient at today is pushing buttons on video games.
I even feel betrayed because I wasn't equipped with knowledge to survive off the land, etc.
I'm trying to change that, however, by growing my own garden..........but MY is the hour getting late.

Looks like its a vision of
Looks like its a vision of what is in store for Amerikkka. I can see the federal government cracking down on REAL christians real soon. Look at all the people up top and tell me they are REAL christians. The powers that be lie their butts off to get into office claiming they are moral people. The real truth of the matter Washington is a den of vipers and thieves. You know if someone was a SO CALLED CHRISTIAN like Bush He would have went balistic over the mormon sects children being taken. As a matter of fact the justice for WACO has not been vetted out yet and some heads still need to roll for that.

Does anyone have access to the cirriculum of the FLDS children?
.
Not that it really matters, because they have a right to teach whatever they feel is necessary for their own physical/spiritual survival, but I'd still be curious to know what these children are learning as compared to what's being shoved down the "normal" kids' throats.

Controversy over their education now
.
Some do-gooder in my local forums started a thread decrying how horrible it is that these young FLDS kids weren't familiar with the moon-landing.
His thread was based on a news article which stated the following:
So anyhow, the implication is that these kids are being abused because they aren't familiar with the moon-landing.
Geeee, I wonder which kids know best about the Constitution?..............The FLDS kids or "normal" public school kids?
Anyhow, here's the thread where I had to defend the FLDS against this idiot's claim of abuse, basically because they are different:
(my name there is '18watt_fan'..................and the idiot who thinks they are abused is named 'sanctified')

I guess that person didn't read that one of the men went to the local recorders office and picked up a few hundred voter registration applications.
I know of some Ron Paul supporters who don't believe the
moon landing ever occurred. Maybe we should get rid of them.
Does the moon landing come anywhere near the top of the educational priorities we should set for our children? I just don't see this as being the crisis that some apparently feel it is.
They'll learn about the moon landing eventually.
Agreed.
.
What good is knowledge of the moon landing going to be when there's no food on our table?
The FLDS WILL be prepared when most of us have no food.
I happen to believe that it is 'abuse' that our schools have failed us all in learning how to survive off the land/be self-sufficient.
Who defines "abuse"?

Godspeed
I hope we take our constitutional protections back soon and follow the law of the land or there will be a very nasty future for all Americans.
There are no checks and balances, the constitution is ignored ,no habeus corpus and no respect for the common man and woman.
Something has got to give.
Peaceful Revolution is the way but if peace does not work then what?
What will it take to arise and do our duties as americans to restore our country?
We must restore liberty.
We must protest.
We must succed-- fearful slavery is not an alternative.
Government for the people by the people.
Give Me Liberty!
Very Sad
And absolutly true,,,,,,
Thanks for demonstrating restrait.
Many would not have the courage to confront the government the way you did, with non-violence. Some would have resorted to fighting to defend their family with guns and not have allowed the government to take their children. By your actions we were able to see the true colors of the government, and we will be there to support you.
Thanks,
grant
this would be 'the letter'
this would be 'the letter' that Bush spokesmen said he never received :-( How convenient.
God bless Willie Jessop, his families, and his church
These peaceful people are living through a hellish nightmare, with the only consolation being that maybe this is the last time America will let something like this happen in this so-called land of the free.
Indeed
This event proved a real "wake up" call to many that we were not reaching with Ron Paul's banner. NOW they believe a police state could happen here...
TEXAS.....being the prime
TEXAS.....being the prime example! I swear that state is the most corrupt and evil in the union!
