New Project to Commemorate Dr. Paul – Please keep bumped

We need to complete one last grassroots project on behalf of Dr Paul and I'm willing to do it but I need some help. This project will be easy. No long letters, no expensive donations, no talking to strangers.
Dr. Paul has inspired, educated and cured the apathy of many. I think we are all grateful of Dr. Paul for having the courage to stand up and speak about the things that no one else dares mention. It takes a strong man to stand up and criticize the status quo all the while being mocked and laughed at by so many. I am now quite sad that this election cycle is coming to an end and I think we should do something for Dr. Paul to honor him for his achievements and to thank him for his candor.
I want to create a very professional and high quality shadow box to send to Dr. Paul at his Congressional office. For those of you not familiar with the term, a shadow box is a 3D picture frame that allows you to place objects on the inside as opposed to photos. There are lots of 3rd rate shadow boxes, but when done properly, these highly impressive keepsake frames can be a beautiful representation of a specific moment.
I would suggest browsing Google for shadow boxes if you still need more information. Just remember... some are better than others.

As I said, I want to create a very professional shadow box and send to Dr. Paul. I will be seeking out a large (preferably) solid Cherry shadow box with a glass face to protect the contents.
Here is where I need some help. I need some items to go in the box. I'm looking for high quality items that are representative of Dr. Paul’s presidential election. I am also looking for some of the unique items that were created by the many who were inspired. The only requirement is that the items have to be fairly small and have professional quality.
Some of the items that I've thought would be useful:
* Pens
* Buttons
* Keychains
* Magnets
* Positive News print and Magazine articles
* Magazines where Dr. Paul appears on the cover.
* DVD's
* One of all the Slim Jims
* RP 2008 Letterhead
* Revolution: A Manifesto
* RONPAUL license plates (There are several across the Country. I have one and I will seek to track down the others to include as no other candidate ever has supporters getting their names on license plates)
* Silver and/or Copper Ron Paul Liberty Dollar (would be really cool but I imagine those who have them will not want to give them up)
* Anything else that you may have that would look great in a shadow box on the wall of Dr. Paul's office.
As I've stressed, this will be a high quality and professional shadow box that I would like to create and have delivered to Dr. Paul’s congressional office very shortly after the November election, but, that means it's time to get started on this now.
So here is what I need. Items, Items, Items! If you are interested in donating something please contact me via email at adam1mc@hotmail.com and I will provide a mailing address and telephone number so that you may stay in contact. Anyone that participates will be included in regular emails and pictures of the work in progress as well as information to help track the package once it has been shipped. I am willing to pay for this entire project (estimated cost about $250-$300) but if anyone is willing to send $1 or $2, I would be appreciative. Please just send me an email to adam1mc@hotmail.com and I'll provide you with a mailing address or PayPal account.
Anyone that donates anything of any significance (i.e., Ron Paul Liberty Dollars or anything with a value of over $100) will be specifically mentioned in a hand written letter to be included inside the shadow box.
I like to consider myself a decent writer but I have horrible penmanship. I need someone with beautiful penmanship to hand write a letter on behalf of the grassroots to Dr. Paul thanking him for inspiring many and having the courage to stand up for liberty. The letter will need to be written on high quality Hemp paper (as was the Constitution) using a heavy black pen. The writing of the letter will come towards the end of this project as specific names will be included on the bottom of the letter. I wish to include the names of those who have donated significant items for this project, those who made significant contributions or ideas and those who have been an overall inspiration for all of us. The letter will be choreographed towards the end but I'm looking for a volunteer to write now as well as nominations for names to be mentioned (Trevor Lyman, Granny Warriors comes to mind).
So if you have any professional items that are representative of Dr. Paul’s presidential campaign that you would like to include in a presentation on be half of the grassroots, then please send me an email to adam1mc@hotmail.com and help me get started on this memoir for Dr. Paul.

* Disclaimer - If lots of people were to send me things it would be impossible for me to include everything. Therefore, sending items does not guarantee their placement inside the shadow box, unless previously agreed that your item WILL be included (i.e., license plates, Liberty Dollars, Revolution: A Manifesto and others). Once sent, all items become my property and items will not be returned if not included (excluding the previously mentioned and items of significant value). Unfortunately I haven't had
Unfortunately I haven't had much response regarding this project. I have had only 1 person send me Ron Paul related items and I have had one enthusiastic individual offer to create the letter from the Grassroots.
I really had hoped to collect enough items to present Dr. Paul with this wonderful memento at the September 2nd rally. Without items from members of the grassroots I fear this project will never take off. Unfortunately, without your donations I do not have enough items to create a worthy gift for the person who inspired us all.
If you have any extra Ron Paul related items laying around, please get in touch with me and I'll send you my mailing address. I'm not asking for money. All I am asking for is some Ron Paul related merchandise that will be presented to Dr. Paul himself. I received a sample of the copperplate penmanship yesterday. I'd post a link but I'm on my way out the door to head to a wedding but I'll get one posted later.
I'm wanting to push up this project and hopefully present this project to Dr. Paul at his convention in MN. I still really need some items.

1st package of stuff received.
I received my first shipment of goods today. The package contained a nice collection of Ron Paul related stuff.
The following is a list of items I received from the generous supporter:
Mouse pad
Several different styles and sizes of pin type buttons
Blue RP round stickers
White and Blue bumper stickers
RP Chocolate coins (will probably have to place these in coin cases to protect the shape)
RP wrist band
So we can cross those things off the list. Who else has some stuff to donate? I'm looking for pens and would love some blimp merchandise (trevor hasn't replied to my email) magazines and newspapers. Any other cool stuff that I can't think of at the moment.
I've tried to get in touch with the other people who have RONPAUL license plates. One person didn't want to give theirs up and the other person hasn't responded. Do you know anyone that has a custom RP type license plate? Have them get in touch with me if you do.
I haven't forgotten!!
Just a head's up -- I'll be supplying that which you requested tomorrow. I suddenly had some work (!!!) which was *desperately* needed, and therefore received my full attention. Since that is now completed, I'll get right on the task I promised you. :)

Oh well.. those 8 people have all offered to contribute items and as I said I don't really mind doing the work myself... I just had expected more of a response from the GR.

Pretty cool stuff. That person is supposed to be snail-mailing me a sample. When I get it (maybe today) I'll post pics to her work.

Well I still need a few items. I found some of the copper Ron Paul liberty dollars on ebay for pretty cheap. I'm going to purchase one or two of them on payday. So I'll have the copper coins, Revolution, mousepad, pens, stickers, slim jims and someone to create the letter to Dr. Paul.

Maybe we should create a DVD containing short videos from tons of us about the impact this RPR has (already!) had in our lives. I'll bet some people other than Ron would even want to get a copy of that. ;-)
I'm busy coordinating my state for 2 upcoming conventions, but I could do a video entry for a project like that if someone wanted to spearhead putting it together.

A compilation DVD with bits and pieces from supporters briefly stating how the Revolution has/is impacting their lives would be a lovely keepsake, and not just for Dr. Paul. With all the supporters who love Dr. Paul so dearly, though, I doubt it would all fit on one DVD -- or a series of 10, 20 or 100 of 'em!
On another note, I've noticed that some people seem to be viewing this project as a "Goodbye Dr. Paul" sort of thing; like "it's all over." Interesting; I didn't see it that way at all. This project strikes me as a "thank you for running and for waking up so many and getting us energized to go on and take it from here" kind of thing.
Even if RP ends up sitting in the Oval Office (my fervent prayer), the fact remains that this election cycle is winding down. What a wonderful treasure for Dr. Paul's supporters to express their appreciation that he stepped up to the plate and put himself on the line, and inspired thousands upon thousands of people along the way.
We are indeed coming up to the end of the election cycle. And, we ARE only at the beginning of the Revolution!!

Our State Convention was last weekend. I will not be a National Delegate. I highly doubt I'll be able to go to MN St. Paul for the National Convention.
So for me... It kind of is done. I'm awful sad about it and not yet wanting to let go. That's why I decided to embark on this project.

I think the idea is popular, but your post is about something that you're going to do for RP and not a group(grassroots) gift. Know what I mean? I don't think you'll have room for slim-jims and license plates. I was in the USMC and we gave shadowboxes out with medals and ribbons in them...dog tags some times. They are nice keep-sakes. There is no reason for you to leave Dr.Paul for other "freedom fighters". RP is going to have some kind of educational roll in the future so he will need all of our support. If we want to get RP a gift from the rEVOLution it should be huge and over-the-top! I'm thinking Cadillac complete with a constitution paint-job or something like that. Ha ha ha ha! Could you imagine the look on his face! SURPRISE! Too funny! Good luck and let me know if you want a button or something.
