I've been frantic busy today with numerous projects, and only just saw this post. Quickly, I dashed to Digg, read the article, my eyes bugged out that he actually said this (and before the election!), and I dugg the article and several comments as well.
Folks, the harvest has just opened up wider for us. I don't care HOW "presumptive" a nominee InSane is; Obama has just removed himself from the table as an anti-war candidate (which you and I knew all along was hogwash) and his faithful minions will now stare around, jaws agape, to find some candidate who really, truly is against all these unnecessary, unconstitutional wars.
Luckily, we have the answer for them.

I like Jesse, but he has liberal minnesota as his only virtue that and he served with the S.E.A.L.S -- he has no pull in Washington -- in 30 years RP had no pull in Washington -- then we changed that.
RP will not win the election because the people who put a president in office are all lined up against him -- RP's role was to get us thinking - talking - and active -- Mission Accomplished. He will go down as one of the "greats" who never made it to the final dance -- but highly instrumental. The notion of an RP Republican will not die easily -- like the 30 years or so we hear "Taft Republicanism" and the 20 years we've heard the "Reagan Republicans" (Neocons).
Now if McCain should fall ill or something -- then Romney or Huckster would step up to claim the ticket, in a "special" election against Ron Paul.
But Ron Paul and Jesse Ventura would be laughable on the hill -- Ron would need a notable lobbyist or politician who could pull tremendous amount of clout -- more than what RP has now. He'd need Romney and no less. There's no one else on the Republican side with a big enough name and who could swing the conservative vote and who had the wealth influence to pull the die-hard classists of the right. Problem is RP would never run with him. So, no matter what RP does not win because there isn't enough time to get an virtually unknown name on the American landscape in time to beat Obama-Clinton.

We have both Obama and Hillary kissing the asses of AIPAC today. How is it that an Israeli lobbying group has both of these candidates sucking up to them? I'm sure they could have had McCain there too, if they wanted. We have absolutely no say in the matter of expanding war in the middle east, but of course it will be done in our name and we will foot the bill.
