"Insurgent"
This appears to be their newest word to try to incite anger towards us.
I'd rephrase the title of this post. It isn't a "Paul Convention" being called. It's GOP delegates (mostly Paul supporters) ending the recess for the GOP convention. By calling it a "Paul Convention" you devalue it and strengthen the argument of the central committee.
I agree with sreams that this is not a "Paul Convention" and to refer to it as such gives the impression that "we" (Paul supporters) are trying to have our own convention separate from "them" (McCain supporters).
The simple fact is, Republicans want to complete their illegally (per GOP by-laws) recessed convention. Whether the GOP leadership -- the very people who performed the illegal recess -- sanctions this meeting is irrelevant. If a quorum of the membership is present, it's present. Period.
Once again, we have to remember that "leaders" are only in control so long as we let them have that control.
Here is another fact, if there was not a quorum to continue the meeting, then there could not be a quorum to end the meeting. Therefore the meeting has never ended and its just waiting for there to be a quorum to continue with business.
This is basic stufff, does the Nevada State GOP think people are that dumb.
The Paul people are NOT starting a new event, they are restarting an event that has never been officially ended, and therefore they need no Central Committee approval. The only way they would need approval is if the event was closed and ended, which it was not, there was just no quorum. That means the convention is technically still going on as we read this and once it achieves quorum again, business can be conducted.
The State GOP better show up, they can call any number of Roberts Rules experts to verify this. They will lose lose lose -
Correction: My memory served me wrong, I found the video and it wasn't the one I was looking for. Somewhere (sorry folks, another blonde, "mature" moment) it was stated by Bob Beers that they didn't have to follow Robert Rules and other RNC/GOP rules can take precedence. Anyone?
I noticed a word appear twice

I agree it needs to be rephrased

Actually I think the state GOP is wrong
