The scariest thing about this article is not the suggestion of a McCainiac/Paul ticket, but the comment section with the UBER-LOONY and bitter Hillary supporters.
We had to put up with George Bush.

The only way McCain can win without Diebold is with RP
Id be so torn though. Could you imagine?? Actually going to the polls with a straight face and voting for McCain as president? Its a fantasy but I guess its kinda fun to joke. Its the like the whole "I'll kiss you if you kiss HIM" thing.

Many polling places allow paper voting as an option, as in "would you like paper or plastic?" Primary voters may not worry about fraud, but angry Democrats voting against a continuation of the Bush Administration probably will choose "paper".

I spent enough time over at Blackbox.org to freak myself out to the point where I have exactly NO faith in the vote count system in most places. I hope McCain will need to rely on good old fashioned lying and October surprises to get ahead. Itll be tough I think to get some fresh poo on Obama- and what they do get - his glaze-eyed fanclub will ignore anyway. I think we've seen it all- any side changing after the various supporters are divvied up will be based on how they handle current events.

I sent them an e-mail. It can't hurt. I was straightforward and honest, I will not vote for McCain otherwise, and if Paul was on the ticket I would volunteer to get them elected over Obama / Hillary certainly. Even if the VP has no technical power, it will kick the Revolution education campaign into high gear and he will be a powerful voice of reform in the government. Best we can hope for at this time.

Besides, he seems to have forgotten who is pulling the strings and that they have none attached to Paul.

Ron Paul also brings credibility on the economy, as more people will remember him pantsing McCain at the Reagan Library than will know the details of his economic plan. He's also respected by non-supporters as a truly principled conservative, another weakness for McCain, who flips like a football referee's quarter.

I love Tommy Christopher to death for being a Ron Paul supporter, but his aberrated thinking of a McWar/ObiRonPaul ticket clearly shows that he did not get Khan's memo about drinking pure water and laying off the flouride...

Ron Paul supporters are the most dedicated, politically educated, tenacious and selfless people out there. The party needs us or they will die. Wanna be a Maverick? How about choosing a real maverick and statesman.

I dunno, but no matter how hard I try, I can not imagine CFR allowing a non member to run for VP, nor can I imagine RP accepting it if they did. WHich they wouldn't. And he wouldn't. ANd the whole idea is ridiculous.
