The Republican Party is a Form of Collectivism

"Liberty means having a limited, constitutional government devoted to the protection of individual rights rather than group claims.”-Ron Paul
"Liberty means having a limited, constitutional government devoted to the protection of individual rights rather than group claims." RP
"In a free society, every citizen gains a sense of himself as an individual, rather than developing a group or victim mentality."RP
"Racism is simply an ugly form of collectivism, the mindset that views humans only as members of groups and never as individuals." RP
Here he is plainly stating that collectivism is adverse to individualism, which is true liberty.
"Don't forget that pure democracy is a form of collectivism -- it readily sacrifices individual rights to majority wishes. Since it involves no constitutional bill of rights, or at least, no working and effective one, the majority-of-the-moment can and does vote away the rights of the minority-of-the-moment, even of a single individual. This has been called 'mob rule,' the 'tyranny of the majority' and many other pejorative names. It is one of the greatest threats to liberty, the reason why America's founding fathers wrote so much so disparagingly of pure democracy." -- Bert Rand http://freedomkeys.com/co...

Is the power of society limited or unlimited?
"Individualism answers: The power of society is limited by the inalienable, individual rights of man. Society may make only such laws as do not violate these rights.
"Collectivism answers: The power of society is unlimited. Society may make any laws it wishes, and force them upon anyone in any manner it wishes." -- Ayn Rand

Merriam-Webster: collectivism
Main Entry: col·lec·tiv·ism
Pronunciation: \kə-ˈlek-ti-ˌvi-zəm\
Function: noun
Date: 1857
1: a political or economic theory advocating collective control especially over production and distribution; also : a system marked by such control
2: emphasis on collective rather than individual action or identity

So my point is, if Ron Paul is for Individualism and not Collectivism, and the Republican Party is a Collectivist association, as is any "party" or "group", why does he say he will ONLY run as a Republican?

i prayed

For the first time in a long time that he would go independant(alot of supporters didnt vote in the primary, deadlines screwed over a bunch of people). Right after super tuesday paul should have announced an independant run with a platform of encourageing people to become active in local politics(the best solution is a local one). The revolution concentrating their efforts on those two objectives would be extremely effective in furthering the enthusiasm for a drastic overhaul of our current political situation.
I do not fear death, I fear life without liberty.

There is a difference

There is a difference between advocating a socially collectivist philosophy and collectively advocating a particular social philosophy. Hope that helps clarify your observation of a possible contradiction.peace

Thanks for the input :)

I am just searching for every way possible to get Ron Paul on the ballot! I wish he would run as an Independent!
"Truth is treason in the Empire of Lies."

We need to look into the

We need to look into the Independent option. Seriously. And do so right now.
