I see all kinds of distracting posts here on the DP. Maybe it's that there's more of them than there used to be, maybe it's that I ignore them less. Either way, it made me want to share something with all of you out there reading this.
IF Ron Paul were to quit politics today...IF he were to give up his seat in Congress...IF he were to decide that his days of fighting for us and the protections of our rights were done...would you feel that we had lost?
Pay attention and listen up. Dr. Paul is a man. He is just one man. He can not and will not win this fight alone. When he does give up his seat and no longer fights for us, and that day will come, we OWE it to him as a true American patriot to continue to fight on to preserve and secure the freedoms for which he has fought so long and hard.
Will you run for local office? Will you run for state office? Or better still, will you run for federal office? What part will you play in determining how our country is to be governed? What office will you hold? Where will you make a difference, and how?
You can let the trolls distract you with all manner of BS. Or you can decide right now, right here, today that YOU will get involved, run for office, and actually DO something to set our government back on the right course.
I've been listening, Dr. Paul. And I'm pretty sure I get what you're saying. I know know what I must do.
To the rest of you....do you know what you need to do to take back what is ours? Have you been paying attention to the message, or are you letting yourself be distracted?
Stay focused...remember what we must do. Pay no attention to the BS. GET INVOLVED, GET ELECTED, TAKE BACK CONTROL OF OUR GOVERNMENT FROM SPECIAL INTERESTS.

What is more important? And how do we really solve the problem?
What's more important? Discussing other candidates, or discussing how we take our government back?
What's the only solution to the problem we have with government...that our government no longer represents us and our best interests? Getting as many patriotic Americans that'll obey their oath of office and defend the Constitution elected as possible.
Everything else, even the stuff that does matter, does not matter as much as this one single thing.
Run. Get elected. Become the government we know we ought to have.
Discussing and backing other candidates combined on a RP ticket
is what I would like to see. Many people seem scared to move unless RP says so.

Lets stay on target.
That target is getting as many honest patriotic Americans who will obey their oath and defend the Constitution elected as possible.
Only when we occupy the offices of our government will we be able to govern ourselves.
We had 14 Ron Paul state
We had 14 Ron Paul state legislative candidates win in our primaries, in our county we elected 2 RP precinct captains bringing our total to 6 and I am a candidate for secretary of state. We just need to keep plugging away and take back our government locally while working our way on up.....I have no doubt that we can accomplish our mission. The creativity and devotion of us RP supporters never ceases to amaze me..... :)

Anyway, it's time to get off this old duff of mine and see if I can get involved in low-level (I'm very shy) local politics....that is the course we need to take...
It's this simple.
The fear of the consequences of continuing to not be involved, of not holding office need to outweigh the fear of holding office yourself.
I'm afraid of what will happen if I do not hold office far more than I fear what will continue to happen if I do not.

Start with becoming a precinct committeeman. It is not all that intimidating and there is influence in numbers. The more RP people there are as PCs, the more there will be to vote for the right people.

Some day in the future when our descendents look back upon history, they will see how a movement ressurected the realization in the people of the power that the people possess in determining their own governance. They will see how our great republic almost died, but was brought back from the brink of eternal night by those who would no longer be silenced...those who knew right from wrong...those who believed in the words penned by the founders of the greatest country on Earth.
That movement was spurred by one man...and a fitting monument to him and what he was instrumental in starting is not only warranted, but needed.
Carry on with the limestone & gold. It'll look nice in the Ron Paul Memorial in DC.
What's the going price of land in DC?
Let's buy a little plot and build us a monument to rival any in DC. LOL. I don't have much money, but I'd donate the sweat equity to get it built.

As far as getting into local politics -- whew, boy; it does feel a little intimidating! To jump in to that without any prior experience (or interest, for that matter!) is daunting, to be sure. Let me be honest: I don't want to do this. And? I recognize that I must.
So I am beginning to find out what political offices there are in my town, which offices are responsible for achieving which tasks, trying to figure out which districts are which (different lines are drawn for various purposes) and determining how I could possibly contribute to our community with my participation.
Like Ron Paul himself, I consider myself a reluctant candidate, to put it mildly! But into the fray we must go, should we truly desire to restore the republic. "Liberty, calling We The People"...time for us to answer that call.
As I so often tell my children: with rights come responsibilities.

Oh boy do I know!!!
I wrestled for weeks before signing the paper work. Not only is it intimidating but it's a den of vipers... yikes!!! But do it we must.
No idea how far I'll get, right now I have the ear of 3 republicans (not yet Ron Paul Republicans but I'm still workin on them heheehe) that are running for office from my county. They are actually starting to seek me out to ask questions about some of these whacky laws trying to be passed.
The chairwoman of my local club asked me to speak about what happened when I tried to become a delegate because no one from there had ever tried before.
As to intimidating... well all I can say is after plugging in I'm seeing these people on the local level are just as green as us, maybe more so because we are no longer sheeple, go for it Fan... and anyone else who is considering BEING the solution..... Ron Paul Republicans ROCK!!!

I don't know what RP has in store for us in the coming months. I don't know what will happen at the RNC or even at the march on DC in July. I don't know if RP will be on the ballot or if he'll even be 'newsworthy' by then.
All I know is he sparked a grassfire that has consumed the imaginations of millions of people across this country and the rest of the world. It has stopped a sizable portion of the population in their tracks and made them realize the gov't is not their friend and is not looking out for our best interests. He has made a whole new generation of revolutionaries willing to defy numbers and logic and question the authority of those 'in charge'.
Our job, if we choose to accept it, is to take the information that has been laid out for us and move forward with it. Take over your town, county, state. Imagine a town council that is not corrupt. Imagine a state senator without lobbyists attached to him like leeches. Imagine a congress unwilling to hand over their power to the executive branch.
Basically, we imagine a government that works properly, the way the founding fathers thought it would. Without the 'professional politicians' catering to the corporations over and above the interests of the American people.
No matter what happens, RP has made his mark. What you do with the information is entirely up to you. Like a fire; fuel it and it grows; ignore it and it will smolder and die.

There is absolutely
no reason to pick a lesser evil, be sidetracked into neuvo-false freedom agenda, give up or anything else. This can be done following the Revolution manifesto and led with RP support inside or outside. The time has come to take back our country.

I put this one up to see how many of you really get it.
I see that it's the minority that do.
If you're not prepared to run for office, I ask you why? If you're not ready to be the voice in government that you know we need, I ask you who will be?

I couldn't have said it better. For me it's always been about the message more than the man.
For me personally I already have a savior and his name is Yeshuah the Christ. Thats who paid for my liberty & freedom. The Founding Fathers and the Patriots who have given their life for us are worthy of honor & respect.
Ron Paul is my modern day hero but he's still simply a man. One who has already invested over 30 tireless & lonely years of his life in this fight for us. It's time for us to rise up & continue what he has started.
Ron Paul is like a kernal of corn who has matured into a full ear full of kernals. We are being scattered to grow up & multiply ourselves. How cool is that!!! **grin**
While I did not make the cut to become a delegate I have become a committee woman in my precinct and am educating those in my group who are open. MANY are open to hear right now, this is a message whose time has come.
We've ALREADY won... no matter the outcome in the fall. We are taking back our country one person at a time. Wether we live to see our constitution or republic reclaimed.... we have won. So many great men & women died before what they spoke & fought for came to pass.
Faith is believing & touching what you can not yet see or lay hold of.
We have not given up, we have not shrunk back and we are a mighty force the neocons & the evil that premeates will have to reackon with. We don't look left, we don't look right, we forge staright ahead and we walk right on past the trolls, the negativity and the discouragement scattered here like an infestation of weeds.

And I know that our founding fathers gave us the tools to govern ourselves. The simple fact is that we as a people have allowed those with interests that are not our own hold office for far too long.
It is time for all patriots to stand up, run for office, and set our country back on track...one office at a time.

First year
for me to be this involved in our election process. Dr. Paul has brought me to awareness on several issues. I presently work full time and attend school part time. I am in the process of raising two wonderful, brilliant sons. All of us have become even closer since discovering Ron Paul. I discuss politics with my 15 and 12 yr old!
Presently, I have become more involved locally when time permits. I plan on staying the course with educating myself and others, attending more local political functions, and providing support to candidates that uphold the rule of law. I feel that with my current path will allow me to gather friends in the community that will one day provide the support needed to run for a local position, for starters. For me, this is just the beginning. As I also hope that my present involvement will positively influence my two boys. They know, always question your government.

I will most certainly get involved and also support other candidates that are aligned with the same priciples of freedom that Ron Paul believes in. What I will not do, be fooled or lulled into is a false, quasi-freedom agenda. If it is not about fully abiding in the Constitution on all levels I won't be interested. I think that is what is going on now; a pull to accept a charade of freedom to distract us from the real goal. We don't have years to correct what has been wrought by the total disregard of our Constitution or the luxury to be fooled for something less only to find out later.
