Just watched this on C-Span. The members of the Iraqi parliament tell it like it is. They want the Americans out, they can take care of their own country, and their people will be better off.
My only concern is that it seems Dr. Paul had to co-erce the guy to say "Yes, the Iraqi people would LOVE to see the US withdraw & reduce the size of the embassy."
It sounds like he wants the US embassy in Iraq shrunk big time (3000 employees?!) and he wants no US bases at all. Right on! Congress and the President have heard what the Iraqi people want, now it is time to listen to them.
I am so busy trying to get him nominated - lol!
Thanks for making this so easy to see, it just renews the resolve. What an honor to be alive to watch this man speak.
"What an honor to be alive to watch this man speak."
I totally agree, I feel as though this is my version of what others may have felt when they knew they were witnessing history, hearing Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, King Jr., et. al. speak. Incredibly, it is NOT hyperbole to call Dr. Paul the only honest politician in Congress today! I wonder what our descendants will think of this period of history, as a dark age of enlightenment and common sense? It's like with all the technological wonder happening; the idiots in power use it as a tool to dumb us all down to the point where we're simultaneously the most illuminated and dumbest fucking people in a long stretch of history. Good thing eventually the stale crap at the top dissipates and eventually expires, to be replaced by what bubbles beneath.
On a personal note, I so want to someday be that Guy In The Background Behind Ron Paul while he gives a speech. I'll bet that dude in this video knew anything with Dr. Paul on it would get a bunch of views, so he insinuated himself into frame and soaked up all the rays of Intellect, Rationale, and A Non-Interventionist Foreign Policy that poured forth from Dr. Paul like a supernova. Seriously, getting your ugly-ass mug behind Dr. Paul's is a billion times better than just a photo of you shaking his hand, right? You're part of recorded history, and a visual part of Dr. Paul's speech! Guess it's time to take some night broadcasting classes...
On an even more personal note, I'd like to apologize for the lameness of my title. Especially to those who have seen and loved American History X ;)
Asking the questions that need to be asked. I noticed him smiling a bit at the part when the Iraq translator stated they are concerned about the size of the US embassy.
This interview should be should from the rooftops from all the media.
Ron Paul. The only honest man in the Government.

we all are thinking but don't have the venue to ask. Thank you Ron Paul. It is so good to hear someone uphold exactly the stance I (and may others, I'm sure) took regarding the very inception of this diabolical invasion. It is also comforting to be in such good company ideologically and not be considered unpatriotic for not supporting the illegal invasion of a sovereign nation.
It really irks me when I hear people claim that we must remain in Iraq to keep the USA safe. What vile propaganda.
I always ask, if that is true, please explain why our Southern Border is WIDE open? Shouldn't the protection of our own borders be paramount to our National Defense? Or is it a country 6000 miles away we should fear?
Ron Paul is the only candidate asking questions that make sense.
An embassy with 3,000 employees, bigger than the Vatican???? Come on!
Give us a break. Give the longsuffering Iraqi people a break. 70% of the population, at least, want us out of there. Before the war, Iraq had the most forward-looking society in the Middle East despite Saddam Hussein. 40% of the work force were women!!! And, 20% of their parliament were women!!!! This in an geographical-cultural area where women are second class citizens. Only about 15% of our Congress are women, according to the last figure that I heard.
Ron Paul really opened this one up. Great job and hard questions. Just like a representative is supposed to do. He confirmed what many have suspected all along.
I loved the part where the Iraqi representative compared the ramifications of our huge embassy there with 3,000 employees to Iraq having a huge embassy of 3,000 people in Washington DC.
Outstanding! Deep, Deep Bows to Rep. Paul. It just doesn't get any better than this! Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou. I am humbled by his magnificence.

Can you understand what she meant?
Hey, I uploaded these vids, what do you think she is trying to say at 7:50?
I definitely heard political elite and then it looked like she cringed afterwards lol.
Get out of Iraq.

I wish Dr. Paul would have stated: "I am running for President of the U.S. Would you like to endorse me?"

Maybe i'm paranoid but that struck a cord for certain other reasons.
