HELLO!!!!

HELLO!!!!

What part of CANNOT run as a third party or Independent candidate do some of you people NOT understand.

(1) Ron Paul lost all the Primaries he was entered in.

(2) In most states you CANNOT run as a Third Party or Independent candidate after losing your Partys primary election.

(3) In most states you CAN run as a WRITE-IN for YOUR PARTY after losing the primary election but only for the office you originally ran for.

(4) You have to file an application for WRITE-IN with the state election division or Sec. of State's office. In Idaho it ihas to be done within 25 days of the General Election.

(5) GET the FACTS from your state election division on how, where and what needs to be done to get Ron Paul into the General Election in your state. THEN post that information on the Daily Paul so others in your state will know what needs to be done.

(6) If you don't do what needs to be done any VOTES for Ron Paul will not show up in the vote totals on election night.

(7) After more than 30 yrs in the third party movement I have seen more time, energy and money wasted because of the BS from people who are too stupid or too lazy to do their homework and get their FACTS straight.

(8) When you have your FACTS as to what is required to get Ron Paul on the General Election Ballot in your state if it is possible, please post them on the Daily Paul with the name of your state as the Subject. Please add link to state information for verification.

(9) NOW get off your ass and on to your feet, out of the shade and into the heat as there is work to do if we are to show America the support for Dr. Paul's message of Peace, Prosperity, and Freedom.

2008 Presidential Election Write-In Rules
Rule 1 - Write-in votes will not be counted if the candidate does not file as a write-in candidate.

Rule 2 - Write-in candidates are not allowed in presidential elections.

Rule 3 - A candidate losing the primary cannot file as a write-in candidate in the general election.

Okay, now the list is not totally complete but notice rule 2. Arkansas, Nevada and S.Carolina don't allow write-in in presidential election. So we need to actually be on the ballot here. Connecticut, Hawaii, and S.Dakota could be problematic aswell.

Rule 3 poses problems for a RP led ticket. JV has no such hang up. with Rule 3.

There is a short list of states that have questionable rules. The compiled list is not completed. So we need that info.

I will write in RP's name as the last option. But I don't have the fantasy of saving the GOP by staying course. Just look at RP's own congressional district. These people voted him to stay in congress, but voted Mccain for president. All has been done is NOT getting through to their thick sculls. These sheep want to just flow along with their party majority. GOP is a crack pot beyond repair. It's time to smash it and grind it into fine powder to form a new vessel.

Exactly, that is why it is so important to have a strong nationwide showing with a write=in campaign for Dr. Paul in the Republican column.
It will split that pot in two and expose the NeoCons for what they are. I believe the good Dr. has the skills to fasion a new pot. Let the Phoenix rise from the ashes with the new Party of the Republic.

What? Why bother writing in

What? Why bother writing in Ron Paul if it's not going to get counted? If your not willing to vote for someone on the ballot, don't bother since it won't matter.

Yeah.. Ron isn't going to

Yeah.. Ron isn't going to give up his congressional seat to run 3rd party. Great post!

There's still time to stop the McCainiac

I've offered "John McCain is a real ..." to any of you who want to viral email. I've had less than a half dozen takers. I have it both in .PPS slide slideshow and WAV video format. It's small enough (about 6 Mb) to pass through most email server filters. I've received one commitment from an activist with a mailing list of 450 subscribers. Even the most diehard McCainiiac will take pause to support McCain after seeing it. Let's get moving on this people! Remember, though I want a disclaimer, "I am not acting of an an agent of any local, state or federal law enforcement authority," just in case someone wants to file an injunction based on alleged Copyright infringement.

I liked the last half

This had me worried at first. Good idea to get each states info up! In a free society a person should be able to write someones name on a freaking ballot and have it counted!

Hello!!!

Dr. Paul has to be certified with the State as a Write=in for his votes to be counted and show up in the Vote totals

Thanks, for your effort.

We may be awake but I think there is still some lingering shock. Let's face it we are new to really investigating candidates and when we found Dr. Paul he is REALLY hard to let go of. It is a bit confusing because people have become delegates and are continuing to get Ron Paul supporters. I don't see the harm because people are still waking up and just discovering the message. Now, the message from Baldwin, or Barr is NOT Ron Paul's message. This would only confuse newly awakened people. There is no way Barr or Baldwin would win anyway. I don't see the problem I will likely vote for one of them but I don't really care which third party because I still plan on staying with the Republican party in hopes of changing it with Ron Paul's help. The more I studied Dr. Paul's platform the more I liked it. This is what really bothers me with voting for anyone else. Peace

Hello!!!

"I still plan on staying with the Republican party in hopes of changing it with Ron Paul's help. The more I studied Dr. Paul's platform the more I liked it. This is what really bothers me with voting for anyone else. Peace"

Exactly. That is why it is so important for Ron Paul supporters in states that do allow for a legitamate write=in campaign to get Dr. Paul certified as a write=in candidate. At least in those states a write=in vote for Dr. Paul will be counted for the Republican Party. That will show the strength of Republican comittment to Dr. Paul. If that doesn't wake up the Republican Party nothing will. It's sad that the current and passed elected Republicans have abandoned the Principals the Republican Party was founded on. In 1972 many Goldwater Young Republicans left the Republican Party because the Party had abandoned it's Principals. In 68 Nixon closed the Gold window and in 71 he instituted wage and price controls. Out of the Young Republican walkout came the Libertarian Party.
Go back to the original Libertarian Party Statement of Principals and it's platforn and it is almost 90% out of the old Republican Party Principals and Platform. Goldwater and Reagan stated it many times that the Republican Party was based on libertarianism, The Philosophy of Liberty.

After more than 30 years in the Libertarian Party and a candidate many times, last time in 2000 as a Congressional candidate against current Idaho Governor C.L. Butch Otter and was the first Libertarian elected to public office in Idaho. I have now returned to the Republican Party because of Dr. Paul's efforts on our behalf. Work to get Ron Paul on your states ballot as a write=in and then you won't be wasting your vote.

Howdy!

I’ll be upfront with you, Anarchit.

I doubt most people who access this site on a regular basis have been exposed to the real-time aspects of ultra-corrupt politics (I guess the “ultra-corrupt” part goes without saying) for as long as you and I have. They’ve likely had a great deal of hullabaloo implanted in their heads for almost all their lives. Lots and lots of nonsense has yet to unravel from their brains.

All this takes time. All we can do is to understandingly and patiently provide advice and guidance. Always remember that any life lesson is best learned methodically. If the person does not learn at his or her individual pace, the lesson will probably be spotty. A thorough knowledge is what we should all aim for. It usually all takes quite a season.

Couldn't agree more.

Couldn't agree more. Education sometimes is a long and slow process.
Fortunately when the light goes on between the ears education and understanding progress at a rapid pace. I am amazed at the understanding of many young people about monetary issues and foriegn policy. Ofcourse they are the ones that will pay the bills and provide the cannon fodder. This old fart for one appreciates the time, energy and money these young people have brought to the Revolution. Thank you.

My only qestion is, Can RP

My only qestion is, Can RP or Ventura pick a better running mate than each other? Just look at RP's own congressional district, most those folks voted him to return to congress, but voted Mccan't for president. They and the rest need some "shock" treatment. Who would deliever that better than Ventura? He stunned they twist as a mayor, then a governor, and why not as a President.

Well, the fact that no one

Well, the fact that no one seems to notice is that Ron said "NO" very clearly that he would NOT run in the general election. That means: NO 3rd party, NO jesse Ventura, NO write in, and NO general election. Period. From the "horse's" mouth.

Hi Crickett

When did he say No write=in No general election? All I recall him saying was No third party or Independent campaign.

Voluntary Association + Mutual Cooperation + 110% Personal Responsibility = 100% Individual Liberty

we already know the facts-Ron Paul supporters are smart!

We already know the facts, the facts are we want Ron Paul and no other. I see several people keep saying, well if we vote third party, it will show them, I say well if we do a write in or get Ron Paul to run independent, we stand a better chance having our voices heard than dividing into separate 3rd parties-now look, who is really using their brains here?

I will get busy and find the info and post for Missouri here ASAP. Hope the other states will do the same-we have come this far, lets go all the way! Ron Paul for President 2008!!!

Thank you,

Thank you, I'm sure many supporters in Missouri will be looking forward to the information you bring to the Forum.
