DIVIDED WE FALL - We have to unite all groups

How many people believe that any single candidate or movement can win against one of the two chosen ones? Every person I've spoken to believes in quite a few of Ron Paul's positions and that's quite a few people. This is 100% not 99% or 75%! If I get a chance to sincerely discuss an issue they don't believe in, they always give some media driven garbage to not believe it. Most often, I am able to change that opinion. In personal one-on-one discussions, I have over 90% success in turning their position toward Dr. Paul... even today with the perception that he has no chance.

This is very powerful information, people. However, the way things stand right now, he has virtually no chance. I say this because we currently have no united stand. Let's face it, while Barr may be a great candidate for some of you, a vote for him is one less vote for Paul, not one less for Obama. Nader stands for many things that we don't, but he also stands for tearing down the two party strangle hold in DC. McCain supporters are mostly supporting their party and their second reason is because he's a so-called war hero. I swayed one of them just yesterday that had no idea of his real war record. How many here know that Huckabee is still getting noticable percentages in the primaries or local conventions? That's tragic if we're in this to win.

Ok, so you say this is a long process and Dr. Paul winning isn't the only thing we're in it for? Well, I say that's BS in the biggest way. As a new delegate and the new Secretary of the local GOP, I can tell you that it will be exactly like voting for Perot was in the nineties. It sent a big message to DC which no action followed. We will be stuck in this same game in 4 years. I absolutely guarantee it. It's happened to every message sent that I can find throughout history.

Ok, so you then say that we're gaining delegates and this will make a difference? How? The fact is that it won't. There may be small changes here and there or even some national attention, but the change we're looking for - a genuine representative government of the people - won't change if they can help it. They have too much at stake to allow their control to be lost. I don't care if you beleive in truth movements or JFK games or the current military industrial complex or corporatism lobbying controlling the puppet politicians or even the CFR running the NAU and FED reserve system. Whatever the reason and whomever is against honest government, there's no denying that we are being suppressed in both the media and the polls. I even noticed that our local NPR public radio station in Eastern Nebraska reported all the results of the Iowa straw polls except they didn't even mention Dr. Paul's name once. (They conveniently offer no direct contact information on their site and failed to report any emails against this stance to their generic email addresses.)

So, the fact is that we have to stop getting all hyped over Barr or Ventura or anything else and consolidate one platform to promote! We've been so organized in the past, how can everyone not see that this is the only way it can happen? If we all got together, our numbers would rival or beat all three of the other candidates. No one here doubts that, especially if word got out that it was happening. Just think of how a news broadcast would be perceived if they were forced to report on the same day the following events.

"Jessie Ventura endorses Ron Paul."
"Bob Barr endorses Ron Paul."
"Ron Paul supporters marched a million people on DC today."
"Ron Paul broke another fundraising record yesterday."
"One Thousand national republican delegates sent a letter endorsing Ron Paul to the media and GOP chairman today."
"Ron Paul supporters caused an Obama rally to shut down today."
"Ron Paul challenges the other remaining candidates to a charity debate"
"Ron Paul claims that the other candidates platforms cannot be paid for and they will bankrupt America."
"Ron Paul charges that the media has broken the RICO act and inequitable supported candidates causing irreparable harm."

and the best one,
"Ron Paul announces his silent and underreported campaign is going full force with hour long prime time commercials."

That information would be too tasty for all media to ignore and word would definitely get out. The problem is that that's still not enough. We're not dealing with a fair game on a fair playing field so we need yet another step.

While these sound bites will help, we have got to get each issue's discussion to the people in a manner that outlays more details. People will go to Obama if "Change is Hope" is all they compare them on. On the other hand, if they learn the details of how to eliminate the IRS, FED, Iraq war, Dept. of Ed and they see personal benefit, we can begin to sway them toward our side from a distance. I'm not saying the publishing of such information is easy but we first have to get the information consolidated in a way that's indisputable. We can then send them there or advertise that location as the only non-influenced information available anywhere. I have been working on this last problem diligently for a few months and I now call on the rest of you to make it happen.

I'm creating two websites with this goal in mind. Together, they will show indisputable proof of popular opinion and every issue's comparison between the candidates. The format is engaging and extremely addictive while the data it makes available is transparent and enlightening. In addition, these benefits can be applied to any topic such as global warming or non-political topics. It has the capability to reduce the media's bias and the government's propaganda to zero effect.

I have almost zero web skills myself other than 'old day's' programming experience. I have a couple people interested in making it happen but we still lack some skills. I am officially calling upon others in this group (mainly because this group has shown to me the most dedication and online expertise) to contact me and offer their services. There's no pay in it initially, but if it goes viral that may change. Fortunately, we're not in it for the money at this time. ...yet. For all of you repeatedly talking about making some real change, let's forget donating money at this time and make a real difference.

And if Dr. Paul has the opportunity to read this, I hope you understand that many of us in The Revolution ARE in this for you to become the greatest president in US history. Only the president can fix the problems that are pushed down from the top. If you call upon us during your presidency, we'll fix the rest from the bottom up! Don't give up or even allow your drive for that top spot to apathy. We haven't and we all lose hope when you do. Stay strong, concentrate on the root problems (as you always do) and start giving hope back to those who believe it has left us.

Sounds good, but

I think you depend too much on government. We ar trying like hell to elect Ron Paul, great. But Ron Paul as president or not he has shown us how to get our freedom back. With the government or without the government, we will be free only when we act freely.

You, sir, need to wake up.

When in history have the people ever ousted a corrupt and overbearing governing body without violence or a top-down change? The media propaganda is way too powerful and accepted for that now. When Perot was making great strides and gaining pretty fast, how quickly was he labeled a crackpot paranoid when he mentioned the military choppers over his daughter's wedding ceremony? Instantly, his popularity went out the window. That's power. Incidently, they didn't change their opinion when the video surfaced of the choppers which proved he wasn't paranoid. Never discount public perception. It runs nearly every issue involving us today.

If you look at history, when the printing press became popular, there was a revolution of the common man against the ruling elite. This happened because this medium of news was too new to be controlled by the propagandists yet. This is the state of the internet today, although Youtube and Digg are definitely suspect of gaming the numbers in my opinion. So today is when we have a chance. No one knows if we will still have uncontrolled free communication without bias via the internet in 2012. Many signs point against it surviving.

freedom brings us together

it does not divide us.

I guess

I am on hold now until I hear his video in the next few days.

Your plan

relies on the media being "forced' to report this stuff. They won't.

That's absolutely right! The

That's absolutely right! The media will do NOTHING for our movement because its OWNERS have told them not to help us.

Instead of attempting to take over the Republican Party, we should be trying to take over/supplant the mainstream Press.

SUPPORT OUR FOUNDERS' AMERICA
Support the Constitution of the United States

My 2 cents....

I agree with your headline but I have to say, your last paragraph puts alot of weight on Dr. Paul.

I think that we need to look at this from the stand point that what kind of proof have WE given Dr. Paul that WE are truly serious about this....

and don't tell me the money bombs or the sign waving ect.... because those things don't require any real peril or inconvience to us, while Dr. Paul has to face all the scrutiny and deal with all the danger.
We can't even put our petty differences aside and stand as a united front anywhere....April 15th at DC was a let down, Haven't heard much about the March on DC for July 12th, and St. Paul Min. still remains to be seen.

Where are the Patriots of our time????? I can tell you...we're afraid to be the only one who stands up...and so in my mind, until we can do it, we're hypocrates for asking Dr. Paul to.

I don't completely agree

I think if you look at it one way, it seems to put pressure on him but looking at it from the other side, it's showing him that we support him and we are truly serious. You ask for us to prove we're serious, but how can we do that? Every supportive act so far has amounted to making news to the choir but done nothing to raise new awareness on a national level. This and the fact that Dr. Paul has given so many toned down clues that he has no faith in winning has virtually convinced so many that it's over for him. Sure some think he's still got a chance, some think he may consider 2012 or just promoting the revolution for the long term, but many, like myself, understand that without him, the dynasty will continue.

There are just too many broken pieces of the government that require a top down approach. There are more that require a president speaking on primetime to unite the sleeping masses behind a certain issue. Unless we have 67% Revolutionist congressmen, nothing will change there. The chairmen of the big committees hold too much control.

Preaching to the choir

as far as most people here are concerned.

But there is a contingent that is determined to divide, and they are very vocal and pesky.

From the latest polls taken here, the vast majority of DP posters still favor Ron Paul as the choice, regardless of the circumstances and the dividers.

That's the key point.

...that people here are united for the most part, but we have to annex the other 'united' groups and individual disenfranchised(sp?) into one big coherant group. That's the only way these groups can top the membership of the two elite groups. I just hate seeing people recruiting for Barr or discussing Governor Ventura running. We should be inviting them to campaign to Dr. Paul as his VP or something.

Also, we have to make some noise and get noticed. That may or may not include mainstream media, but we've come too far to give up now.

I agree with almost

I agree with almost everything you say here.

We have been talking unity heavily for over 6 weeks live on the air and I would suggest you come listen to some of our live broadcasts and you will see we are saying alot of the same things you are stating here today.

If you would like to be a guest on one of our shows to speak about your ideas I will entertain that thought for we all need to start working together if we are to accomplish anything.

Keep up the good work

Sounds good

I would consider being on a show as long as I can get past the radio shyness. I've done it before on call in shows which always start out with my hands shaking. lol

Either way, I am an engineer in many fields that has led me to renewable energy research and now to starting a solar business to give PV cells a run for their money. I could tell about how the market is skewed towards PV and wind and against anything that has a real chance of knocking fossil fuels off their pedistal. Hint: The free market is the only way I will have a fair chance.

Otherwise, I've studied money and economics as it pertains to oil and again it leads to the same solution.

Those are my passions and to get them going, I started on the web projects. Sure they help Dr. Paul, but they are actually topic independent so the media 'might' give them some airtime before it gets labeled a Ron Paul supporting site. Just a thought.

Nice post!

Paul is not like Mrs Clinton (I think) who seems to have a great effort and a strong wish to become President. Paul would only become President if he is pushed to.
He was pushed to be a leader in a club in his college or somewhere else (I don´t know exactly).
I think he was also pushed to join the race.

Anybody?

No comments? No suggestions? No emails? Maybe everyone would rather just argue about what's happening to us and how bad that is. I feel like Dr. Paul did at the Reagan Library debate. :(
