An answer to the "Collialition for the Third party"

What is happening to us? Fighting,anger, and hate. Are there none left? Everywhere I turn on these boards there is hidden agendas appearing from every corner. Is the revolution being torn apart from within. Is this the majority? A consensus that Ron Paul doesn't know what he is doing therefore power hungry individuals are harping him for a third party run. The man said no already. I don't want to see him take back his own words. His principles for a few individuals hell bent on making this happen. Why have they turned on Ron Paul? What is there motive. I will still vote for the man regardless of what he does. I will be at the march in D.C. even if I'm the only one left to march. Though I maybe alone in my convictions for the Revolution I will stand proud in knowing my principles will still be intact! Never give up, never surrender! My heart aches when I see people turning away from Ron Paul for the sports bar winning first mentality that he warned us about.

Hidden Agendas?
The only AGENDA that people advocating continuing the race after the Republican Convention, is getting Dr. Paul into the white house as President or VP. I am not advocating that the R3VOLUTION stop trying to get delegates or stop trying to sway the borderline neocons back to their conservative principles. That's fricking awesome guys keep up the good work! All that I and many others feel is that in reality THE REPUBLICAN GANGSTER LEADERSHIP WILL NEVER LET YOU GET CONTROL OF THEIR POWER. The Republican party isn't FAIR. The whole primary experience should have shown you that! You say we are looking for power? Well we are the power, that's what Ron Pauls whole message is! We the people! All we want to do is plead with Dr. Paul to be OUR candidate, no matter what that takes in the fall. So how about we get Jesse Ventura and Ron Paul to speak in Jesses home state of Minesota outside of the RC in September? A third party run even whithout full ballot access would accomplish everyone heres main goal of spreading the freedom message to the largest possible audience! Everyone needs to continue what they are doing, not fight each other and have a plan B. All good strategies have a PLAN B!!!

That is almost as delusional as standing outside the RNC hoping the GOP will hand RP the nomination.Wish in one hand and **** in the other,and see which one fills up faster.

WTF are you talking about? It's all about RP and his message. Third party run is about plans after the RNC. It would be crazy to stop the president campaign if RP doesn't get the GOP nomination. Just wait another 4 Years?

But what is important is that we still meet here on daily paul to discuss Ron Paul's message. We are all unique and we like to have our thoughts read by others. We all have different opinions about ideas for strategy, but in the end, I guarantee that we all are undivided in our total commitment to Ron Paul's message and ideas. That part is undeniable.
Just as victory's post below says, Ron Paul is "the only one" who has our back........... This is a good thread.

Maybe some people are doing it because they are power hungry, but I think the main reason people have been harping on Dr. Paul to run third party is FEAR: We are running out of time, we have a sense of urgency. Will there even be a 2012 election? We need Dr. Paul NOW, this time, this election..to save our Country... (All this is just my opinion) (and fills me with sadness that many of us are that concerned with the state of affairs)
I had alot more to say but just deleted it all...I am straining at the bit right now waiting for this 'message' we're supposed to be getting from Dr. Paul...
Third Party- NOT
Going to call it as I see it. Ignorance is bliss and that is why there are so many individuals on the Daily Paul promoting a third party or an independent campain for Dr. Paul. The good Dr. and I have been there and done that in 1988 along with more than a thousand Libertarians and we came up short.
I would be willing to bet that there isn't one person promoting this third party/ Independent BS that has ever spent one hour working in support of a third party or independent candidate to get on the ballot. Because if they had, they would know tha cost in time, energy and money that is required.
The Libertarian Party has spent 36 years and millions of dollars and is still only on the ballot in 28 states, the Constitution Party is on the ballot in16 states and these frapin idiots think they are going to get Dr. Paul on the ballot in 50 states in 5 months. Give me a break. I have been involved in the third party movement for more than 40 years as have thousands of others. We know from where we speak. We have been there and done that. As stated above, Dr. Paul and I and thousands of others have been there, done that in 1988. That is why Dr. Paul said he has NO plans for a third party/independent campaign. What he has done is left the door open for a Write-in on the Republican Party. While not all states have this option the majority do. So lets use that option to our advantage.

if we are the only 2 left. There is not one other person out that has always quietly covered our backs while in office and put the Constitution at the top of the list. There is only one person running that did not sign the Patriot act, that knew the Iraq war was wrong and did not support it, and has publicly challenged the FEDs. There is only one person who will do away with it, the IRS, stop invading countries, stop the insane government spending and turn our country around. There is only one person that will repeal the Patriot act( how dare they use that word for an act that is unconstitutionl and takes away the true patriots rights}. There is only one one person that will demand the oath to follow our Constitution is kept by all in office.There is only one man that will bring our troops home now. Anyone out there is free to join in if you are alligned with those things. If not don't ask us to compromise once again for less because our country does not have the time to continue with the corruption anymore.

Amen!! That is why it is so important to identify all the states that allow Dr. Paul to run as a Write-in candidate on the Republican Party. Then it's time to go to work and get the message out that Americans in those states that they have an option to McInsane. This is the only way we will begin taking our country back.
Please Everyone, Verify if your state will allow Dr. Paul to run as a Write-in and report back with that information. Please don't post what you think but report back with what you know that are the verifiable facts for a Write-in vote for Dr. Paul.

Whoa! What a year this has been. And what achievements we have had. If
I may quote Trotsky of all people, this Revolution is permanent. It
will not end at the Republican convention. It will not end in November. It
will not end until we have won the great battle on which we have
embarked. Not because of me, but because of you. Millions of Americans --
and friends in many other countries -- have dedicated themselves to the
principles of liberty: to free enterprise, limited government, sound
money, no income tax, and peace. We will not falter so long as there is
one restriction on our persons, our property, our civil liberties. How
much I owe you. I can never possibly repay your generous donations, hard
work, whole-hearted dedication and love of freedom. How blessed I am to
be associated with you. Carol, of course, sends her love as well.
Let me tell you my thoughts. With Romney gone, the chances of a
brokered convention are nearly zero. But that does not affect my determination
to fight on, in every caucus and primary remaining, and at the
convention for our ideas, with just as many delegates as I can get. But with
so many primaries and caucuses now over, we do not now need so big a
national campaign staff, and so I am making it leaner and tighter. Of
course, I am committed to fighting for our ideas within the Republican
party, so there will be no third party run. I do not denigrate third
parties -- just the opposite, and I have long worked to remove the
ballot-access restrictions on them. But I am a Republican, and I will remain a
Republican.
I also have another priority. I have constituents in my home district
that I must serve. I cannot and will not let them down. And I have
another battle I must face here as well. If I were to lose the primary for
my congressional seat, all our opponents would react with glee, and
pretend it was a rejection of our ideas. I cannot and will not let that
happen.
In the presidential race and the congressional race, I need your
support, as always. And I have plans to continue fighting for our ideas in
politics and education that I will share with you when I can, for I will
need you at my side. In the meantime, onward and upward! The neocons,
the warmongers, the socialists, the advocates of inflation will be
hearing much from you and me.

What's happening is there's no game plan. Ron Paul is not a collectivist and he is not the philosophical source of the drive to "take back the Republican Party". That's something some people--a loud and outspoken minority--came up with at the grassroots.
All the drive to try to get Dr. Paul to reconsider staying Republican represents is a hope on the part of those who stand outside the GOP to get Ron Paul to run again.
I support a Third Party whether Dr. Paul runs on such a ticket or not. The Republican Party has betrayed the conservative movement consistently and without letup throughout its modern history. Furthermore it has always been a party of big business and war, not Liberty.
The GOP has staggering financial resources and will not be seriously affected by any attempts at "Trojan Horse" strategy. Some of the reason why is that if you telegraph a strategy publicly, it is no longer a secret, hence it has no element of surprise. But most of the reason why is because the strategy makes no sense. A gnat is not able to take over an ox by flying in its ears or up its nose. All that does is annoy the ox.

You are for a third party. Regardless of who is running it. If Ron Paul is not on that ticket than you wont support him? Is that what you are saying? Enlighten me tuma. Strategy? Are you a general? Or are you someone who lusts for power and by being a lead strategist for the third party coalition you feel it necessary to subjugate others to your heel. Is that what this is about. A winning first strategy? You are like the gnat in the ear of an ox more than I my friend. That ox being the Ron Paul Revolution!

I thought you weren't happy about the infighting. Sounds like a thinly disguised comment that you don't like people pursuing strategies other than the one you are sold on.
"If Ron Paul is not on that ticket than you wont support him?"--I'm not sure what you even mean here. I have supported him and I do support him. I would be happy to vote for him if he got the GOP nomination. But I'm realistic about those odds.

I agree Dr. Paul probably cannot be persuaded to run Third Party, so I don't know what to do either. Forming a new party with our own platform might be an option. I support taking control of the Constitution Party and rewriting its platform. I'm skeptical of the Libertarian Party, although it might be redeemable after it throws away another election on a bad candidate.
Paul has said he supports Third Parties, even if he isn't running on one.
If we're going to try to take on something huge and massive, I suggest we take on the news media instead of the GOP. Within four years everyone will get their news from the Internet.

I cant write in Ron Paul in Wash State
Im leaning towards NOTA atm- having ruled out the rest. (i need to research Baldwin more). As for the "Revolution", I intend to vote on every peice of legislation that furthers the message in every local election- as well as sign every petition that serves our goals. Not to mention cast my votes only for those seeking office who closely allign themselves with the message of freedom.

Several friends in Washington State are under the impression that Ron Paul could be a write-in there on the Republican ticket if he files the necessary paper work with the state. Are they misinformed? What is Washington election law in this regard? Has someone verified the lack of this option for Dr. Paul in the Washington general election?
