John Taylor Gatto and Linda Goldthorpe

Ron-Paul endorsed candidate, Linda Goldthorpe's campaign for Congress will be holding two fund-raisers on Saturday, June 14th, both featuring John Taylor Gatto and Linda Goldthorpe.
The first takes place in Levering, Michigan (about 12 miles South of Mackinaw City) from 2-5pm. We have a very special guest, John Taylor Gatto, a pioneer of the de-schooling movement. Linda and Mr. Gatto will speak, answer questions, and meet with supporters at the event. Barbecue lunch will be served. Suggested donation is $25 per adult..
Following that, at 6pm, there will be a private dinner at David Goldthorpe's home in St. Ignace, 401 Gros Cap Road. Minimum donation is $100 per adult, $20 per child.
About John Taylor Gatto
John Taylor Gatto is a retired schoolteacher of 29 years. He was named New York City Teacher of the year in 1989, 1990, and 1991, and New York State Teacher of the Year in 1991. Shortly thereafter, he quit the business and penned "Dumbing Us Down: The Hidden Curriculum of Compulsory Schooling," which contained the much-circulated essay "The Seven-Lesson Schoolteacher."
Since then, Gatto has traveled the country, written books, and is now creating a 3-part documentary, "The Fourth Purpose," about compulsory schooling.
Gatto contends that no amount of funding will fix a systemically bad public school system, and has dedicated himself to helping people develop alternatives for educating children.

...to the government educrats that is! His next book is called "Weapons of Mass Instruction". I can't wait!
Anyone within driving distance of one of his talks should be there. No excuses allowed. Just be prepared to pull your kids out of public school after hearing him talk about the dangers of compulsary, mass, government schools. ( I refuse to call it education. It's just indoctrination! They are teaching your kids WHAT to think...not HOW to think.)

is one impressive woman, I tell you! I watched a few of her videos and what she wrote. No wonder Dr. Paul endorsed her strongly. She is the only female Ron Paul Republican (and one of the very best), apart from the one female Ron Paul Democrat.
I hope people donate. If she wins the primary, she will be up against the Democrat incumbent, so it will be tough, but given her character and qualifications, she could pose a serious threat. She probably just need enough money to get name recognition as well as radio and TV exposure. Also impressive website.
