It's not up to us to *force* our leadership on the GOP. We can offer it, though, and hopefully it will be well received. The neocons have held sway for a while now, and the party *is* in trouble; if we gently let our Republican friends and neighbors know that we aren't interested in neocon leadership and are instead only interested in using the Constitution as our guide to truly limit governmental power, they can start thinking about a choice between those different directions for the party. Just be sure to tie it all into Republican values so that it's clear that we're offering *Republican* leadership -- and always remember that it's up to you to control *your* choices, but it's up to them to control *their* choices.

We've become so backassward that it will take years and enormous financial support to come to the realisation that all we need to do is follow the Constitution. "Years to rebuild the party"? Honestly- just throw out everyone who has voted in a way that conflicts with the Constitution. Reveiw their records, hold it against the Constitution and send them home. Itll be a smaller party I suppose and those states would be better off with no representative than one who isnt voting the will of his people anyway. They can hold emergency elections and be damned sure whoever takes their place will be walking on eggshells. 2 months. Tops.
