Regardless... run for office yourself. Start local and work your way up. Follow the same principles and give this country a pool of actual candidates to choose from.

Follow Ron's lead, and use libertarian principles, but realize that the Libertarian Party won't gain many voters in the election system that we are living with. Run as a Republican or Democrat, but stay true to your ideals and don't be bought by lobbyists.

Support candidates that follow these principles with your time, money, and your vote.

Write or call your congressman. Be outspoken, don't stay silent.

Ron said it best on Leno... he's not perfect, but the message of freedom is. As much as I want Ron to win, if he doesn't, it's not a final blow in the grand scheme. What would be a final blow would be if this group of fervent supporters gave up hope and disbanded.

Assassination is a real threat if Paul were to win. Just think about the Kennedy's and Reagan.

How is it that the terrible scandalous presidents never get assassinated or even an attempt at their life, but the wonderful people always do!

The answer, in my mind, is the dominate men of the world will not let go their strangle hold on the power they have gained by being intimidating. And when someone stands for freedom, they cannot win because they cannot intimidate them, so they must kill them.

I think there is a very real, very present group of dominant men in this country who will not let go their power, and cover their aggression with a lie about democracy.

So why dont we find these men and intimidate them??
Because either A. We are too intimidated, or B. We dont want to hurt anyone because we are kind and believe in freedom!

So how do we beat them? Do we wait until it gets so bad that they start blatently terrorizing their own citizens like Germany? Wait until other nations gang up and defeat them like they did with Germany?

What happens if we elect Paul and they assassinate him?? Why did we let them get away with the Kennedy assassinations? Why did we let them get away with the Russo Assassination??

Because they are mysterious and evil!!!!! And scary!!! Ahhh! Im scared shitless!!!

BUT, this fellow is correct. God is ultimately in control. But the catch is, God does not care what happens. Because he gave us this system to do what we want with it. So he will let it all happen, because he knows that everyone and everything returns to God. If you dont believe that, you might be trapped in this fight forever. But if you do believe that, you can possibly let go of this fight and enjoy the ride!

But I sort of want to kill the killers personally. Make them feel intimidated.

Right now we must keep our eyes on the prize. Winning the Primary Election should be our main focus.

By my earlier post that "God is in control", I did NOT mean that God is responsible for the evil that goes on in the world. Furthermore, I did NOT mean that we should sit back and do nothing. In the end, God will take care of those who perpetuate evil. However, we should always do what we can to support righteous causes. Thank you for passing out 100 slim jims--that's great! We are educating others around us as well.

We need to remember this first and foremost. God has a plan, and His plan always comes to pass exactly as it is written in His Word. God's plan will always prevail, though His people may face adversity for a time. These are actions we need to take:

*Find out how to know and serve the true savior Jesus Christ, the ONLY one who can save us, by studying God's Word (the Bible) every day.

*Thank God every day for our blessings.

*Pray to God every day for guidance, protection, etc.

*Know that Satan is coming to earth soon to try to deceive us into believing he is Christ. Satan=anti-christ (comes to earth FIRST). Jesus=True Christ (comes to earth SECOND). Wait for the true Christ.

*While we are living in the flesh, we need to take peaceful steps to bring about positive changes in our society and government (e.g., support Ron Paul for president and educate others).

and if they don't allow write in votes, we could request absentee ballots if Ron doesn't win the Primary. I WILL NOT vote for the lesser of 2 evils again! No CFR members! No Way!

Not to bring up a devils.advocate bashing AGAIN... but its a free country and if Ron Paul is not on the ticket, in texas you cannot write in a vote... our machines are good voting machines (not like diebolds) but no option for write-ins... So between the two, I would vote Hillary as the lesser of two evils...

The reason we get to vote every four years is so that we can have a peaceful revolution. To me, we need to stand united no matter what happens. The government is here to serve the people of the US. If he loses I say we march on capitol hill during the inauguration with a copy of the Declaration Of Independence.

1.) Stop freaking out.
2.) Keep the Faith. We will win in the end. We are in the cycle of History where the good guys pull it out of the fire at the last minute. Trust in that; stay calm, focused and alert, and you will survive to tell your grandchildren about these times.

One thing you can take away is that if he doesn't win you will have to spend a lot of money to make things better.

All new effort waving signs, Building billboards, organizing meetups etc.

What am I getting at?

Many of you have said you will scrape together $100 for November the 5th. What I recommend is to add up what it will cost you down the road if RP doesn't win. And think to yourself, there is no better time to focus all your efforts than on one particular day. Would it be better to spend $2000 over the next 10 years? No. You would just be diluting your efforts. The sun shines on earth everyday without starting a fire unless you have a magnifying glass. November 5th is our magnifying glass. It is a place we can all see and we can all help. We can all focus to this one point in time. Like that magnifying glass, we can start a fire with the light of liberty shining on November 5th. You have to decide $100 is not enough. You have to dig deep until it hurts. Until you won't be able to eat on November 6th if you give more. If you really believe in freedom put every last dollar together on November 5th and give! Surely that is easier than giving your life as many did during the first revolution.

We can all live in a free country again come November 6th 2008 but not if we don't win the next game on November 5th.

The most important thing that is happening is not the person, it's the message... The Movement!!

Think about it, if Ron Paul were elected, he would be battling Congress and the Media constantly. He won't have many allies.

But, in this internet age, we are the early adopters of this rebirth of the philosophies of individual freedoms. It will only grow, as more young people open their eyes and embrace the message. It will be an uphill battle until the progressive baby boomers are gone from power. When we look back at this 30 years from now, we will smile and remind ourselves that this movement exploded during the Ron Paul campaign, and we were part of it.

The thing is that right now, Ron Paul has few allies in Government. We need to step up, be a part of mainstream politics and help elect a whole machine of leaders who can work together to restore freedom. It will take our entire lifetimes, but our grandchildren will thank us.

We all know it would be time for an uprising. I'd rather die than live under a dictatorship. The constitution explicitly states that citizens are required to oppose tyranny and oppression. It is our civic duty and no matter how bad things may seem, we still have the right to vote and the right to express our views. But the second they remove either of those rights we will be living under a dictatorship and the time will have come to live free or die.

I doubt it will come to that. I would be shocked if it came to that, but if things went south then I will be grateful for the 2nd ammendment and the guns in my possession.

Point is...cross one bridge at a time. Besides, I think Ron Paul will have no choice but to run as an Independent if he loses the Republican nomination. He will feel obligated by all the time, effort, and money dontated in his name. ;)

One thing you can do now is to focus on the issues.

Ron Paul's campaign has catalyzed us and brought us together, and whether his campaign is successful or not, the issues will remain.

I seriously believe that we must do what Ron Paul himself would have done to help bring freedom and liberty back to this great nation. To support any politician that will help to maintain our freedom and personal liberties, local, state or otherwise, and to encourage free market principles: free trade with all countries and all people, friendship, but not to enter our lives into contractual agreements that will entangle us later on. Here are the steps I believe that every American citizen that loves liberty should do, whether or not Ron Paul wins, but especially if he does not.

#1 Get out of DEBT. No man can be free if he is financially burdened. Pay off your credit cards, cut them up and don't use them. Pay off loans and mortgages as fast as you can. And the banks will protest when you do this, but they do have a contractual obligation.

#2 Get rid of as many Federal Reserve Notes as you can and instead get Liberty Dollars. The sooner this is done the better. Inflation will continue to drive the price of gold and silver up. You can get silver and gold coins and certificates (legal tender in the U.S.) at www.libertydollar.org. You might also want to invest in a large tamper-proof safe to store these in. These can be quite expensive. If you are a merchant, accept Liberty Dollars. And indeed in the worst of times you may wish to accept Liberty Dollars over any other form of currency (including credit cards, checks, or federal reserve notes)

#3 Learn to use handguns and rifles if you do not already know how to do so. Practice your second amendment rights. I personally hate guns, but if the time is coming when I will need to defend myself from the evils of a tyrannical government, I will do what I can to resist.

#4 Continue to speak out and censor any government official who strips us of our liberties. Protest! Practice the right to free speech! In the age when tyranny begins to oppress us, it becomes more than a right, it becomes a civic duty.

#5 Be informed! Learn what your civil rights and liberties are! And hold on to them for dear life. Do not let anyone take them away from you. If this means civil disobedience, so be it. And if your life is threatened, you have a right to protect it!

#6 Remain part of the Ron Paul Revolution. Create pamphlets, websites, blogs, forums, posters. Every moment that our civil liberties are threatened is a moment in which to act!

#7 Remind our government officials and the military that they are sworn to uphold the Constitution, not a specific person or branch of government.

#8 In the event of socialized medicine, find alternative treatments! Or if anything is socialized, find alternative sources. Find people willing to provide optimum services at reasonable costs, although I imagine that they will be illegal and underground for the most part, and thus both dangerous and more expensive.

#9 Do not support big corporations if you can help it. I am already doing this by refusing to eat at national chains or purchase products from national chains. If you need clothing or home goods, try going to a fabric goods store. Sometimes they have a place where local tailors and fabric workers advertise their services. These can be more expensive than department store or Wal-mart type clothing, but the quality is superior. Homemade clothing can last several generations.

#10 For transportation needs, find a local mechanic who knows what the hell he's talking about and is not afraid to charge reasonable prices. Ask him what you can do to help run vehicles on less fuel, etcetera. Avoid police check points, if at all possible. And do not give them permission to open or search your vehicle if you are stopped! Unwarranted searches are unconstitutional and a violation of human rights to privacy and protection from a stronghanded government.

You manifest what is inside your heart and soul. Everything outside of us, first began inside of us.

I share your concerns an am cognizant of your probable research material as well. If you look back at history, every tyrant there ever was, were "elected" into office. But that also tells you that they had to propagandize and lie to the masses. To manipulate their fears. At the end of the day, this whole manufactured reality that the oligarchs have pushed upon us for generations is nothing more than an attempt to control our mind, our consciousness. In fact the word government, or govern-mente, in its Latin origin, literally means to "control the mind," or mind control. And it's called political science for a reason. Because there is a structured method to the madness. Poli-sci is nothing more than mind manipulation. A perfect whorish supplement to govern-mente.

So while it looks like they have all the power, all the toys, all the leverage, at the end of the day, they still need to fool us. They still need to convince us of their lies. Now the only way that'll work is, if we let them. If we knowingly buy into their lies and propaganda. Remember, we are many, they are a few. They are scared, insecure little boys and girls, deep down.

The only downside is that, if you can call it that, we are compassionate beings, with heart and soul. So while it may be far more expedient if we were murderous, vengeful, hateful, warmongers like they are, we realize in the end, that's never really the answer; they are mindless, heartless, calculating sociopaths and psychopaths. Yeah, the humanity gets in the way, for them. But in reality, it's really our strength. It's the source of our energy, creativity and inspiration.

To a strictly logical mind, when all the odds are against you, "hope" would seem like lunacy, when in fact, it's the only reason we continue to go on, in spite of it all.

So, either way, we always start at the point of an advantage. Because they have to convince us. We don't have to do anything we don't want to. We're the beautiful girl at the bar. They're the drunk degenerates with cheesy pickup lines. They have to come to us, first. And they certainly ain't getting any tonight!

You are only powerless, and lost, if you willfully abdicate your sovereignty by following or falling into the lie they are telling you.

I used to think you have to organize, do this, do that. But at the end of the day, it all comes down to what you do with yourself with the knowledge that you have. If you travel down a righteous path, you'll run into kindred souls. And I cannot tell you how grateful I am, for the chance to be part of this Ron Paul community. Even if I'm not generally, a hit the streets, demonstration on demand, type of person. I am humbled by the level of creativity and courage displayed by some activists on this site. Utterly inspired.

So don't fret my friend. In my heart of heats, I absolutely believe that Ron Paul will, not only win the primaries, but the Presidency. In fact according to Rasmusen, he has a better chance of beating Hilary than the hurdle he's got to get through, to win the primaries in a 30% minority consisting of delusional neocon sycophants.

Besides, only 3% participated in the American Revolution. We are the majority of the necessary minority. You are in good company.

RON PAUL 2008!!!! B E L I E V E

Life will get better once this administration leaves, maybe save if Giuliani gets in office. He seems to be just a continuation of the Bush administration. Aside from him I would say life, to varying degrees, will get better. The currrent situation is a result of actions taken within the past 6 years. Life with Clinton in office was better. Life before Clinton from what I can barely remember seemed not as bad as today. So it seems the behavior of the current admin is a big factor. I think we are jaded and have lost our feeling about life before this. It was better. I don't even see Hillary or Mitt perpetuating the way things are currently. Surely Mitt won't be much of an improvement, but he will at least be an improvement. Hillary too is not great, but at least she cares and having Bill back in can't be the worst thing in the world. I mean the current people in office have to be the worst group of people running the executive branch ever to take office. They are just on a different level way way way below everyone else. They are pathetic. So, I suspect life will get better . I mean for example, if hillary got in and there was social health care, then you and I would be able to go in and get our teeth cleaned and that is it. That situation on to itself is a pleasant feeling. If I don't have to worry about anything when going to the doctor is nice. In the larger picture, it's a different story for sure; it's terrible. But if I have to live with something that isn't Paul then i accept I can at least live with most of the other choices.

This movement is about much more than electing Ron Paul as President. It is about the message of individual freedom and the founders' vision of a federal government that is intentionally limited to protect the rights of the people.

If Dr. Paul doesn't win anything, the movement goes on. But only if you understand and believe in the message apart from the messenger.

In this inner sanctum of Pauldom, there are many who have read and researched, and expound on the principles of freedom with the eloquence and conviction of Dr. Paul himself. Dr. Paul is a great person and a great American, but - and he would agree - this campaign is about much more than electing a charismatic leader. It is about changing the way we think about government, and to do that, we have to really think, not just follow.

my plan B is to find a state or county that will secede from the Union and move there. I hope we can convert enough people to the freedom message so that this won't be necessary.

But you know what, they belong in the back of our minds somewhere and we should leave them there and not allow them to affect us at this point. We should try and relax and only react if necessary, like a cat does. I agree with the "Live Free or Die!" motto.
