MAP: Campaign Insight: See How much MONEY was spent and where!!
this is a good tool to make an assessment of the campaign.... before we start criticizing the campaign... they did spend quite a bit on advertising and such (although it seems like we never saw Ron really campaigning... at least not like the other states...)
In fact, Ron Paul spent the most out of the Republicans on advertising in 9 states... however, for Idaho it was the High Tide... and in New York it was a Ron Paul meetup....
Interestingly, McCain had to spend over $700,000 in Pennsylvania... even though by that point he had already secured the nomination... makes you think, if he hadn't spent that money (he certainly could have spent it elsewhere... it's not like it was necessary), what would have happened? Remember, Ron Paul had over 125,000 votes...
HOWEVER! Click on Ron Paul's name and notice how many states apparently did not have advertising!!! And even the ones that did never had that much... What happened to the $35 million?

$35 Million? You think that is a lot?
Obama made and spent that every month and I never saw a single TV advertisment from his campaign that wasn't broadcast for free by the news showing the latest advertisments, I never even saw a paid for Hillary ad. The campaign could have done better, but free press decides the exposure, even the top candidates acknowledge that and blame the press for not giving them enough press time, even though we see their faces all day, every day.

Poorly managed campaign, I
Poorly managed campaign, I think we can all agree. Look at that New Hampshire number, yeesh.
Illinois was NOT $0
I'm certain of that. I wonder if there was a minimum threshhold for reporting. The week before Super Tuesday, the campaign ran regular AM radio ads, at least in the Chicago market. I believe they were national ad buys, which might be screwing up the numbers somehow.
this might just be for TV
this might just be for TV advertisement... because I also know Ron Paul did radio ads in Pennsylvania, but there's nothing shown... I also thought that I had seen TV commercials in Minnesota...
It could also just be that this isn't updated/accurate.
