Ron Paul to Host His Own National Convention!

After digesting all this for some time. I am curious what you think he has in store?

Well, since I do not know nor have any idea. I'm going to suggest expanding the tent. "Unite the clans!" Invite the other 3rd parties. Libs, Constitutes, REFORM, Greens maybe? We need to make this the year of the 3rd party. We need to get as many voices on stage in debate with McBama as we can.

The media attention this gets could help open the door for that.

This is the same kind of roll-of-the-dice that RP did a year ago in Iowa. When he was excluded from the Iowan for Tax Relief Forum, he held his own event right next door. It out-drew the Iowans' event and pretty much stunned everybody.

But then everything was up for grabs and McCain had not got the "imprimatur" of many republicans; Rudy was the frontrunner.

This is not to fling water on the RP event. It may do amazingly well. We have seen miracles in this campaign and this could be another one. The big question is whether it will bear fruit on a national level. Certainly the Ron Paul supporters will pack the place and holler loudly. But whether this will carry beyond the parking lot is a good question. Sure hope it does.

The best impact we could make on this national election is to keep John McCain from being elected.And force the GOP to take the libertarians (both inside and outside the GOP)seriously...

We need to prepare. Gas prices will be even worse I'm sure. We may want to contact meetups for rides. Talk with friends and family. We will need a place to stay. We need to arrange time off from work immediately, and babysitters if need be. We will need signs. But what is most important, we need to be there. I know we can do better than 11,000 people. St Paul is in the middle of the country. It's better than flying or driving coast to coast.

Ron Paul's convention has all the makings of a historical event that could change politics as we know it. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to make an impact. After this year of enlightenment, we have realized that we are the ones we have been waiting for.

i live 2 hours away and i wouldnt miss this for the world .i wish they could have done it on labor day though, more people would show up on their day off.the day after may cause some people to lose thier holiday pay if they dont work the day after the holiday. lots of companies have that policy, but i dont care, i will use a vacation day and lose nothing. others wont have that option though.

Hi Im an Australian and a huge supporter of RON PAUL , "why" because I think the word needs a a lot more polititions like him.
The impact Ron Paul has on the entire planet "not just America" is going to be huge, a politition for the people and just cause, a rare man indeed.
Good luck with the Revolution, im with you all the way and I think there are a lot more world wide that feel the same way.
If there is anything people can do from other countrys that can support the Revolution you should blog the ideas here, im sure they will make it happen.

Now all we have to do is get Jesse Ventura on board. Form an Independent or third party ticket and use it as a form of blackmail against the GOP. When they don't reject John McCain for Ron Paul(like I expect them not to) you have plan B all lined up. Paul and Ventura can both speak at this alternate convention about what the true meaning of FREEDOM is and the CONSTITUTION!!! On top of it all it's Jesse's home turf. The Media Attention will be huge. C'mon people envision success!

Williams arena is the Barn folks ! This tradition filled arena will make a fabulous place for Dr. Paul and all of us ! That's just beautiful. I am really phyched to go see him there and yes, we've got to pack the place !

Just think, it should be good for about 15 seconds on the local 11:00 news; and, maybe a one paragraph story (no pictures, except maybe Dr. Paul) on an inside page of the MINNEAPOLIS STAR-TRIBUNE. But, hey, Dr. Paul sold a few books and added to his personal fortune; some incompetent Paul staffers got a year on your nickel, and the media moguls and elites got a good laugh. But, at least it should be pretty easy to find your way to Minneapolis by the second day of the GOP convention. The slimy silver trails left by the McCainiacs and their un-indicted co-conspirators in the "Gross Out Party" should be pretty embedded in the streets by then..

Me, I'd much rather spend the leftover campaign money for filing injunctions to keep McCain off the ballot for violating federal and state election laws. Just how many people do you think would bother to write the douche bag's name on the ballot if he weren't listed?

I'll always believe in Dr. Paul's positions, but this campaign has turned into a bad joke.

If anyone is interested in "hunting RINOs" let me know. I've received nothing but praise for "John McCain is a real ..." and we can really do some damage to Republican party fortunes if we work together to punish party leaders for their treachery.
