Letter to the National GOP

Letter To The National GOP | June 10, 2008

Republican National Committee
310 First Street
Washington, D. C. 20003

Attn: Mike Duncan
Chairman, Republican National Committee

We, the undersigned, wish to convey our thoughts to you on the following matter.

Most of us feel that the presumptive Presidential Candidate, Senator John McCain, is a fine individual (some of us don't), but he can not and will not win the 2008 race for the Presidency of the United States of America for the following reasons:

Read it, and if you agree, sign it. I did. So far, there are 6,485 signers. Can we bump that up to 10,000?

why dosent this letter have Dr Chuck Baldwin as an option

to support? why only Bob Barr as the alternative to Ron Paul?
can I get an honest answer?

"let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it's realized that our freedoms & wealth are in jeoprady"
Ron Paul

What do you expect to happen?

Do you expect the GOP to just drop McCain and put Paul on the ticket because of a petition? When tens of millions of people voted in the Republican Primaries the RNC cannot just drop McCain and put in Paul. You saw the firestorm with the whole delegate thing in Michigan and Florida for the Democrats. Can you imagine the firestorm if the RNC switched candidates?

In my opinion, this petition is a useless waste of time. Use your time to join the Campaign For Liberty and work to help change our future and quit focusing on the past.

JOhn

Web site is nothing but script.

Jeez, guys. That web site is pure script.

Some of us have script turned off or blocked, due to the malware infesting the net.

(I, for instance, am using addblock plus, noscript, and flashblock. I'll override flashblock to look at a video and take my risks with some of the flash attacks. But there's no way I'll turn it on for a site full of opaque javascript.)

There is NO REASON AT ALL to do a petition site in anything but pure HTML. You can do everything you need with markup tags and forms.

If you want to get petition signatures you're begging. You need to make it as easy as possible for as wide an audience as possible to hand out the alms

(The same is true for most stuff on poltical sites, where you're trying to recruit people to your cause. If you can do it with straight HTML or a server-side script, do it that way. Go for the widest possible audience. Don't artificially restrict your potential contacts by building in arbitrary roadblocks.)

I'm not sure how you surf

I'm not sure how you surf the internet with javascript turned off, almost every website will be using it.
