I didn't write it - I'm just passing it along. There are many misconceptions about what Republicans stand for, but overall this is hilarious.
From the site I'm Voting Republican Obviously, they're not talking about Ron Paul Republicans!

McBush Republican
You could make the same video about Dems ridiculous positions.
It had a few funny moments,
It had a few funny moments, but it was mostly liberal Obamanation Pap.
I want to laugh along with liberal Democrats, but I just don't understand how they THINK.

This is actually factual if
You drop the word Republican and add, "For anyone besides Ron Paul." What they are describing here is our government-from both twin parties.
Shame to let the video go to waste, just change the title.
Made me angry rather than laugh
This is obviously a stupid liberal interpretation of Republican positions. As if Democrats in office act on behalf of what democrats really stand for anymore than the Republicans seem to.
I HATE how they talk about abortion as it were a choice of women deciding over their BODIES when it's about another LIFE inside them, not their body. If it really were so simple, then we would really all just agree. But it isn't.
This video is retarded. Sorry.
Agreed. "I'm voting
Agreed.
"I'm voting Democrat because I believe fathers don't have rights, and a woman should have the absolute right to murder her own children."

Amen
I agree. I really think that things like this misrepresent the real distinctions between the collectivist/socialist and the individualist/libertarian ideologies and once again diverts the attention away from the real underlying causes of our problems.

Change Needed
In God We Trust!
The main theme in this video should be " I'm not voting for Congressman Ron Paul because......."
There are none so blind as they who will not see.
" In Thee O Lord do I put my trust " ~ Psalm 31:1~
Oh
I basically repeated you later. I should read the thread before I post.
Obviously NOT Ron Paul Republicans
The Conspiracy is out to destroy the Republican Party.
Why? Because as Ron Paul and almost all of us recognize, it represents the last, best hope for retaking control of the government and re-establishing a constitutional republic in the most powerful nation on earth.
So what have they done? By infiltrating the GOP, and promoting the political careers of the "Neoconservatives" like the Bushes and Cheney in the White House (and McCain in the Senate) they have managed to advance their agenda AND have saddled the Republican Party with "leaders" who espouse very unpopular and disastrous policies for our nation.
Notice that the Neocons are very "true blue" and steadfast when it comes to the wedge issues like abortion, gay marriage, and stem cell research.
But they are very willing to abandon "conservative" principles like a balanced budget, peace, respect for the constitution and national sovereignty.
It is almost as if they had chosen the worst, most irrelevant, most unpopular, and divisive parts of both the Democratic and Republican platforms and crammed them down the throats of the hapless Republican rank and file.
No wonder we are struggling.
And another four years with a "Republican" like John McCain at the helm of a floundering nation would be the final nail in the coffin of the GOP.
At least that is Their plan.

Before the neocon
Before the neocon "infiltration", the Republican Party was still bad.
The party was never conservative in any area other than empty rhetoric.

You are right, the GOP was never perfect
And you are right that the decay did not start with the Neocons.
But I disagree that it has "always" been just as bad.
You might have to go back as far as Barry Goldwater or Robert Taft, but there was a time when a Republican often did believe in what we now consider "libertarian" ideals.
Too see how truly messed up our language has become, try reading "Pattern for Revolt" by Leonard Edward Read.
http://onlinebooks.library.upenn.edu/webbin/book/lookupid?ke...
He uses the term "liberal" to describe exactly the same principles and people that Ron Paul now calls traditional Republican "conservative".
By the way, this is a brilliant book and should be on everyone's must read list anyway.
