Ron Paul on Fox / Cavuto Discussing OUR Convention!
Wonderful. Dr. Paul is the best leader, and the best teacher because he leads, and he teaches by example.

And I qoute to the dolts
For those of us who are deaf and dumb.
Cavuto "Would you run congressman as a third party candidate, I guess now with Barr in the race a fourth party candidate?"
Ron Paul 'Na I've never planned to do that, never intended to do that, and the democratic process in this county is very biased against that......"
God I love this man. He knows all. Long live the Ron Paul non third party Revolution!!!
Also Dolts and shrills he didn't endorse Barr. He Didn't say Barr would do better than him. He said and I quote, "Bob Barr I'm hopeful will do better job as a third party candidate THAN AVERAGE but he's gonna have a tough time"
Eat it shrills. Eat it.
Eat it shrills? Are you serious?
Shrill : having or emitting a sharp high-pitched tone or sound.
Let me start off SSgT_AF with DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF!
Ron Paul's own campaign sign sitting right next to me says ' Ron Paul For PRESIDENT 2008.' 'Hope For America.' It doesn't say Ron Paul For Republican Nominee! So what if he doesn't have plans to or never intended to? He said it himself that this is OUR R3VOLUTION and we decide what direction it will go. So the majority of us want to hit the pavement and support Ron Paul and possibly Jesse Ventura come post convention time.
We want a PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE that we all can agree on. You probably wouldn't vote for Ron Paul if he does run 3rd party huh? THE REPUBLICAN GANGSTER LEADERSHIP WILL NEVER LET YOU GET CONTROL!!! Even Ron Paul believes that now! Why else would he hold an alternative convention? Eat the truth.
I love Cauvito facial expression.
when he tries to say to Ron that he must be angry because of Iowa. Dr. Pauls response is priceless. Something along the lines of I am not an angry person because I deal in the lines of Philosophy. Cavuto got that DUH look all over his face..lol. God Ron keeps it so upbeat!
Yes, and Ron Paul
is really a great man.
Dr. Paul cured my apathy
Bump!
I absolutely love hearing him speak!

"Truth is treason in the Empire of Lies."
Thanks for the help, Cavuto. NOT.
I plan on writing-in Ron Paul in November, not because I think he has a chance of winning, but because he is the best "candidate". But there is a reason why Cavuto and the other MSM political wonks have been pushing RP to run as a third-party candidate.
The Conspiracy would LOVE to see Ron Paul run as an independent or third-party candidate. Then they could point to his humiliating defeat as "evidence" of the unpopularity of his beliefs. They would LOVE to see us even further marginalized by abandoning the GOP so that they could ostracize any future candidates that we might support. They would say, "These Ron Paul Republicans aren't REALLY Republicans". They would continually remind the rank and file GOP of how Ron Paul supporters "caused" McCain to lose in 2008. And we would have made it easy for them to justify fighting us at every turn.
Thank goodness Dr. Paul has enough sense to avoid that trap.
What our movement needs is a sustained effort to find, groom, support, and ELECT "Ron Paul" Republicans.
What the Conspiracy really fears is an educated, articulate, relentless movement of peaceful Ron Paul Republicans persuading, converting, and (finally) BECOMING the Republican Party.
Ron Needs to Publicly Endorse either Barr or Baldwin!
Such an endorsement would do a TREMENDOUS amount to energize Paulites to give Barr and Baldwin the highest vote numbers for a 3rd party in American electoral history!

The man can't falter.
Man-o-man Mr. Paul rules. Cavuto got ZAPPED. Cavuto's neocon undies were wet with sweat.
When you're done with Dr. Ron Paul, we'll take him up here for a bit.
Cheers.
Glad Ron Paul mentioned Bob Barr
Glad Ron Paul mentioned Bob Barr, and that he wants him to do better than he did in the Presidential Race.
Its the third time Ron Paul has said he hopes Barr does well, and also that he gets into the debates
So? He mentioned Barr
I'd like to know what's going on here. He mentions Barr, but there is no real enthusiasm there in particular. Where is this heading and why do we have to ask at this point? Something isn't right and there are only three possibilities as I see it...................
1) Ron Paul is leading us astray with ambiguous answers to important questions. No real endorsement for President. For what reason, good or bad?
2) Ron Paul is secretly planning a third party independent run after the convention and doesen't want to tip his hat so to say.
3) Ron Paul is so feared by the establishment that they have resorted to making threats against the well being of him and his family. Thus making him back out of continuing to run. This would explain why he went from asking Tim Russert on Meet The Press to give him some "wiggle" room on the third party run question to suddenly posting a shocking deflating letter saying there would be no third party run? Why would he not ask US his die hard supporters what WE thought he should do? After all his own doctrine to us is that this is OUR MOVEMENT. What made him decide whithout us?
Out of those three possibilities, I would be sick if he was purposefully trying to lead us astray and DON'T BELIEVE he is.The second possibility is the one I am hoping for the most. Who knows? Could be a surprise attack strategy! The third possibility, that he has been advised (threatend) not to run and to tone it down I think is a very strong one.
What do you think?
Ventura Paul Paul Ventura, PLAN B
I think Ron is just a realist
My thought: Ron doesn't believe that all changes we want are going to happen in 2008.
But by mentioning Barr, by holding this convention, and by talking about balanced budgets and stuff on the MSM, he and all who agree with him may have influence on the republican (and who knows democratic) party. Especially in case of the US economy tanking further this decade, more people may start to get interested in those 'paultards' who warned about it all the way.
Listen..........
Why doesn't he just endorse Barr then? People would respect his opinion and the movement would have a candidate to vote for in November. We could start now helping Barr gain momentum. But now we are all adrift on a sea of blackness and it's pitch black! I don't even like Barr, I'm just saying we MUST have a candidate to rally around and vote for PRESIDENT that the R3VOLUTION can all agree on. Someone else out there has to agree with the fact that Dr. Paul changed his tune on the 3rd party run abruptly and whithout the advice or wishes of the MAJORITY of his supporters. Nystrom himself said that the Daily Paul's traffic practically disappeared after that disheartening campaign letter about no 3rd party run.
By the way for those that don't listen. It is delusional to think that the globalist corporate controlled GOP will ever let you gain control of their cash cow!

Dr Paul is awesome.
Always a pleasure to hear him speak.
I hope he writes a speech
For something this major, he'd better not do the standard improvisation and stream of consciousness routine.
You heard it directly from Ron Paul
Ron Paul hopes Bob Barr does better than he did. Once again Ron Paul indicates Bob Barr is worthy of support. So everyone dogging on Bob Barr needs to take a hard look at themselves. Just how much weight do you put on the things Ron Paul says? If you really valued Ron Paul, you would not be so negative toward Bob Barr.
You
Are a dolt
I agree, its actually the third time he has said this
and he also said he hopes Barr gets into the debates. Ron Paul knows Bob Barr, Ron Paul is a good friend of Bob Barr and Ron Paul said Barr would make a good President, and he also said Barr is his ally. Not sure what more you people could want.
Obviously Ron Paul is having a huge convention to teach a lesson to the Republicans, and everyone should realize we probably are not going to get the nomination, even though its hypothetically possible.
So push the message Ron Paul all the way to the convention, and Bob Barr for the debates.

Cavuto
is a nice guy, a libertarian, but lack basic political insight. How on earth would Dr. Paul stand as a "forth party" candidate, vs Barr as well? He did not mention Nader who is in the race already, and Baldwin and the Green Party candidate. If Dr. Paul would decide to run after the RNC, it would be under the LP banner, that has the best ballot access (he has no chance with the CP, that have only 35-40 states) and then Barr will step aside as VP candidate, and Barr-Paul in the 4,5 sore loser states. If he stays in the GOP, Dr. Paul cannot endorse Barr or Baldwin, but it would be clear he would vote for either of them...
Why shouldn't he endorse a Non-GOP candidate?
What can they do to him at this late in his career? So he loses a committee membership?...He would help ALOT toward derailing McCain and the Big government GOP in November...that ultimately means alot more....
i
read somewhere that Texas law forbids him to endorse a member of another party. In any case, he would not want to endorse Barr over Baldwin, and would also not like to endorse Baldwin over Barr.
It is strategically very important that - if he cannot be the GOP nominee - he not only stays in congress, but also use his senior status to attack Bernanke & Co etc. and act as the leader of the movement.
You have to think beyond November also, OK. Say a likely outcome is that Barr get say 8% plus, McCain and the GOP loses big time in light of the Obama tsunami (he has the media ex-Fox on his side). The GOP would be in serious disarray then and with a LP very good performance, it would be clear to the GOP they did not loose the election because they are not "moderate" enough, but rather that McCain was not conservative-libertarian enough and because of the war and the neocon.s hawkishness. This would be then the ideal way for Dr. Paul to become minority leader and he can then spearhead a GOP majority in 2010, just like the Gingrich Contract with America revolution in 1994, only that this time the govt. will really be limited. Obama would then also as president be very limited by the power of congress and as majority leader in 2010 Dr. Paul as majority leader would have the second most important political position in the US, will have respect and support from both sides on most issues.
In NJ there is a 85 year old senator who is going for another term now. So Dr. Paul can still have the best time ahead of him with 72 (perhaps not as presidential candidate in 2012). As majority leader he may be able to get much more done than as president.
In any case, he came as close as endorsing Barr (and Baldwin) as he could...
People can think for themselves....if they cannot connect the dots...then they know nothing about politics.
Because a reporter asks a question,
it doesn't mean he's asking it for himself. They ask what they think the viewers are wondering about. He even pointed out that he was getting a lot of email about it.
Now
if Dr. Paul should run against Obama, McCain, Barr & Nader, what would his differences to Barr be? It just does not make any sense. Period.
