Let's face it, folks. There is only one Ron Paul. Indeed, he is unique in the entire history of American politics. So I take with a grain of salt all the claims of various pols to be Ron Paulians. Oh, we do have free will. It is possible for an eloquent and principled intellectual to be a brilliant campaigner, to reject the lure of Power, and to work untouched in corrupt DC for peace and freedom -- to be another Ron Paul, that is. But even Jefferson sold out, so I am not holding my breath. And note that it is long-term performance in office that will decide the question, not campaign blather.
For example, I do not join those mourning the loss of Amit Singh in Northern Virginia. This minor-league merchant of death, who brags of being a contractor for the NSA and the Pentagon, and of helping write the software for Total Information Awareness!, ran for the Republican nomination for congress as a Ron Paulian. Perhaps conservative conman Mark Ellmore, who beat Singh last night, is even worse. I do not doubt it. But the Democratic incumbent, Jim Moran, is far better on the war.

change an unchangeable party. Of course there will be self-described Ron Paul Republicans all over the country that are basically double agent candidates. If we have our own party or Independent movement, we can screen all the candidates running and make absolutely sure they are not plants. We need to control our own destiny, not try to salvage a rusty wreck that has never even lived up to it's own supposed platform!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

weird thing is I sent my friend an email last week saying I dont trust this Amit guy. He just dosent sound like a Ron Paul Republican or sound like hes aware of the issues. My friend said he also dosent trust him

who screen people. They formerly made Ron Paul endorse a white supremacist. Afterwards Ron Paul had to take back his endorsement after the LA Times broke the story.
Its some inept people working for him. I suspect there are neocon moles trying to destroy his reputation. Horrible screening. If A White supremacist went through why not a NeoCon?
Im not saying Singh is. But I heard him speak and he dosent sound like he knows much about the issues. He seemed to me like a person only trying to go to washington. like thats his goal

What?
Of course no one is perfect. There are two types of government contractors. Those who get the contract because they see a national cause that they can do well for, in a fair contract bid with no lobbying effort, and those who hire lobbyists to get the money and do a bum job or not at all.
For some of us, the war is the issue. For others, government entitlements, for others the Fed, or income taxes.
Not everyone can be a perfect "Ron Paul republican", not even Ron Paul -- he's probably 98% of the way there; there have been mistakes in his past. We have to be willing to settle for people who are 80%, maybe even 75% Ron Paul republicans.
We should even be happy when someone succeeds in the political sphere who is marginally aligned with our philosophy, because taking small bites out of the establishment is the way the movement will take hold.
Buy and store food, you can't lose on your investment.
Unfortunately as long as there is government it will be fiat government. I have no faith in government, even if they do print in God We Trust on the money they require us to use. Real government requires all men to be honest and just. Hard to believe. We will have wolves joining the R3volution to get ahead, take ideas and preach them, but get them into commitee meetings and many will fall. Just the nature of man.
This is why I bow to only one King and Judge.

Santoro. Who endorsed NEo-Con Lincoln Dias-Barret when he bowed out of the Nomination for the US House, and changed to the State Senate race.Lincoln is actually one of the worse.
Personally I don't think Singh would have been that bad. It gives him more credability as an anti-war candidate with his history. Although, i is right to question.
