I think the U-Tube video pros should be on a campaign to create new video snippets of Dr. Paul talking about the economy in 2007 (making sure the date is highlighted) about the price of oil (and the date and video where he said if we pulled our fleet out of the Arabian sea that oil prices would drop considerably), and things of this nature that he spoke about in 2007 to make the point that he has addressed these issues while the rest argued the fact of who wanted a date for withdrawal, or if Obama was black enough.

This is the time to bring these issues to light for Americans that have just started following the political dog and pony show. I would do the videos myself if I had the knowledge of how to take a clip and combine them together while avoiding copyright issues. Perhaps a plan to have an article in the St. Paul paper the first day of the convention with the things Dr. Paul was discussing while the others were pandering that are effecting us and the world today, may open some educated thinkers minds that do not pay attention to politics until the anointed candidates are elected (like most of the people I work with)... My 2 cents…

we all write to everyone of our congreesmne and ask them to attend the Minneapolis Miracle? Make them very aware that a lot of people will be coming to stake a claim in the political process that oisis not run by the sclerotic party buy outs. LEt them know we are on the path to take the country back.

This post is what we need to see here. I suggest that we flood dailypaul with post after post about the convention. I know we can do it. (Remember all the Barr posts?) We need to get our minds right, do some thinking and post the heck out of dailypaul with all things St. Paul. It is now all about the upcoming Ron Paul convention.

Great article, you can tell this author has been involved in this type of political debacle in the past. Yeah, yeah, yeah, move along! that will fall on so many ears during convention time, and the phrase "I am an American" will be the common reply, and many new to the political world will discover how truly American the police and convention staffers really are. To access an area to protest during the convention will also demonstrate how the Iron curtain theory works, and is utilized to protect our constitutionally principled leadership in Washington.

Over the years you would think that the Libertarians, Constitutionalist, and Green parties could have found common ground to combine their numbers and support one individual, but this cycle has really set me straight. I was naive enough to think that the Libertarians and other third party members would rally around Paul and with the Dems and Republicans that joined his team the force would perhaps be unstoppable. I found out early on that since they did not agree with Paul on 1-2 issues many Libertarians I know refused to give their support, another win for the establishment as the party mentality took over better judgment. Libertarians that did not support Paul only harmed themselves by not allowing Paul to prove Libertarians ideals are truly a family values and American traditions viewpoints, and perhaps in the future a Libertarian candidate would receive the same amount of coverage after a Paul victory, but yet selfishness, ignorance, and one can only assume stubbornness of how this could change the face of our nation, and better yet our political system fell on deaf ears for party and individual principals.

I wonder, after McButthead (due to his cheesy smile and laugh that sounds like he stole it from the MTV cartoon character) or Obama (the master of change that now fully supports the war) take office, if any of the third parties will gain any more traction than they had 4 years ago? We all know the answer is “no”, but a Paul victory with Libertarian ideals could have been brought to the forefront and shown the fact that Libertarians are sane patriotic Americans, and viable on the world platform. This would have and could have only occurred with a Paul victory, but the establishment counted on strict principals by these groups would keep them from casting a vote for Paul, and they were correct.

We will see what 2012 brings, will the Revolution work to obtain the third party vote, or will the third party support a candidate that will in the long run get no coverage, no traction, and the same amount of support that they have for years with zero impact on the political world, other than a few articles on CNN and Fox (usually calling them crazy)? My guess would be that there is no one out there ready to sit down with the leadership of these entities and bring forward a candidate that can garner support from all, and end establishment rule. After looking at Poll results if those that voted for "Other" in many states could have pushed Paul into the mainstream with pure numbers, but these people are the ones that are responsible for a McCain or Obama White House, thanks so much!

and drives home how very important it is to work within the Republican Party through the Convention. But after that, hey, they asked for anything we give them. I just hope Dr. Paul will really come up with a doozy following the Convention. I wouldn't even mind him announcing AT HIS convention/rally in St. Paul that now he will run independent through November because the health of this country depends on it.

This was the best thing posted on here all day. I have been getting burned out with so many of you on all of the negativity and dissension. We need to focus on being involved as PCs and getting to St. Paul!
