Am I the only one that fears for his safety? I'm not a conspiracy nut... but yet historical fact shows stranger things have happened- think about the organizations that will be effected if RP is our president- CIA, IRS (and thus ATF), Fed Res. and a whole host of others. As his chances grow and poplularity with We The People surges everyday- WHAT IS BEING DONE TO PROTECT THIS MAN? Does he have a host of security with him? I never thought about this until last night- when a friend of mine said... "he won't win, because the voting machines can be rigged or someone will take him out first." My heart sank.
Does his campaign staffers discuss this- this concern should not be taken lightly.

It's Not Entirely Paranoid
Alabama Governor George Wallace was gunned down in 1972 while campaigning for the Democratic nomination (he did survive, but was forced out of the race). And let's not forget Bobby Kennedy in 1968, right after he had been declared the winner in the California primary.
When you threaten the powers that be, anything can happen.
You brought two important points...
1. Voting machines- Threre is right now an historic national "Clean Election Lawsuit" that has been filed in the Federal court. Nov.5th, it will be amended to include all 50 states,150 plaintiffs(3 from every state). We the People (plaintiffs) are seeking abolishing machine/computer vote counting and want OPEN, transparent, HAND counted paper ballots,counted in PUBLIC view.It has a very good chance it will go to the U.S Supreme Court before the primaries.
2.Ron Paul has got very good "special" security protecting him. Plus I've met other RP supporters that keep an eye out for him, in the crowds.

I agree but...
I agree with you- and was hesitant to ask... but being naive could be disasterous. I pray (literally) that RP and those closest to him consider the possiblity... not to be paranoid, just ALERT.

And sticking one's head in the sand and ignoring distinct possibilities would be extremely naive - especially in this scenario where something VERY dangerous (to the powers-that-be) is happening....
