Techniclly he doesn't but RP won't continue. RP had a chance at pulling alot of Dem and independant support aswell as conservatives. We are largely a conservative movement but i think JV could do the samething to socialistic circles. If we want to win we need to take half of our votes from the dems and half from the reps. Not just one side.
Peel off Democrat support as well as keeping Independants from migrating to the mainstream camps. As it stands now any other candidate we accept can only split the republican vote even further. If we do not want the blame for making McCanus lose we need to see to it that Obama loses too.

If RP ran with anyone it would be Chuck Baldwin (which isn't very likely to happen). There's a dichomtomy of views with Ventura and Paul--immigration, for example.
I also think Ventura is more likely to take a movement on his behalf seriously if it's just about him.

I think we need to stop looking for a magic fix. Ron Paul has given us the tools to use to regain our freedom. If he doesn't become President, doesn't matter to him and shouldn't matter to us. The goal is and always has been to get the power away from the state.

#4)start a meetup group with at least 3-5 people in it(consider using the name Paul/ventura2008 as a meetup title...
#5) start building support for that group and have meetings to create ways to recruit other people to do #1-#5.

A Paul-Ventura ticket is ideal and has a great possibility to success. It would surely shake up the political establishment and energize this movement in such a remarkable way that I wouldn't see any reason why we cannot make great things happen. I mentioned in a prior post that best solution we have is to joyfully spread the message. Talk in positive terms and let liberty be your guiding light. I know I will ;)

I like him, even though he's pro-open borders, pro-amnesty, and pro-choice. However I don't think those positions trully appeal to the revolution. These policies are part of what I am revolting against. I do plan on reading his book though. I like the Constitutionalist positions on these issues much more than the Libertarian ones. I see these issues as anathama to liberty. Regardless, there's a ton of these RP/Ventura ticket threads, and I think what Ron means to tell us today is that it is a pipe dream and we should begin to take the revolution in a more realistic and acheivable direction. We can't get the Whitehouse this time. We are probably way too late to get Congress either.

I've never heard him give any indication he was pro-amnesty. As for open borders even Paul said with a strong economy borders is small potatoes. Don't mistake one for the other here. Border security and imagration are two different issues. Ventura is for states rights so i doubt your claims about pro-choice.
