As the R[3VOL]ution continues, I will continue my own personal campaign to advocate for writing-in Ron Paul for President in 2008. I urge others to do the same.
I will exercise my most revered Constitutional right with the level of honor that I believe in.
I will vote Ron Paul.
Let's take a head count.
How many of us here are comitted to writing-in Ron Paul, as I am, regardless of circumstance ("the radical 'Ron Paul or nothing' wackos" as "JackParkman" put it so civilly).

Now is the time to dump all of the derision, division, distraction and disinfo being spewed on the Daily Paul and reach out to disenfranchised O-bomb-a supporters. Many will stop supporting O-bomb-a and may not vote. We need to stop the remedial bickering and focus on bringing the O-bomb-a people into Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty (supposedly even the various 3rd party supporters agree with that). They are ripe for picking. Rise and shine!

Dr. Paul says writing him in doesn't make sense.

If you truly support Dr. Paul, you won't waste your vote by writing him in but will vote and financially support the candidates he has already said he is supporting.

They are not reported, only a lump number of total write-ins. Vote third party. The media will stress about our vote all summer if we have an impact on who gets elected. My goal is for MCaint to lose and clean out the republican party. If he wins, republicnas think they are justified and it will be horrible.

My ignorance is showing, again. I thought I heard that an Absentee Ballot is the only way to "write-in" in Penna. Do you know if those kind count? If so, umm....I'm going on vacation in November!!

I will not
cast a vote for anyone other than Ron Paul. I will spend my time promoting the Campaign for Liberty and participating in as many Ron Paul sanctioned events as possible. All of gibberish about voting for 3rd parties...and assuming before final conventions and the National Convention, much less Ron Paul's Convention has even taken place, only wastes time and efforts and is not at all helpful to our campaign.
Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate worth voting for and if you don't know that, I think you ought to go elsewhere where you can do some good for the candidate you do believe in. I'm with you expat4ronpaul.

Maybe the miracle that we've all been wanting and praying for is us--the grassroots campaign. Many democrats are becoming disillusioned with O-bomb-a's stance on Iran and his pathetic stance on many constitutional issues, like "retroactive telecom immunity." Now is the time to possibly move in and steal those votes and wake people up.

Believe me
As people continue dealing with the erosion of the dollar, the inability to pay for gas, the continuation of our rights being stepped on, the exposure of the depth of the corruption, shortages of food, etc, etc. they will start to wake up big time.
I'm in
What matters most to me is that I am counted as having voted, but having not voted for a Republicrat. The idea is to reduce the winning percentage of the Republicrat. This means that I must vote. But who to vote for? There are only three alternative parties that have anything more than a laughable level of support in the US: the Constitution Party, the Green Party, and the Libertarian Party.
I can't vote for the CP until they remove all references to Harvey the Rabbit from their platform. Jefferson built that wall for a very good reason, and I like it just fine.
I can't vote GP because, well, the GP is the kind of party Democrats fantasize about, but only the ones with integrity actually vote for. The GP is the DP on steroids.
I'm not entirely thrilled with the LP, but I could vote for them if I could support the candidate in good conscience. Bob Barr has a history that makes me want to punch kittens. (Also, the LP's days are numbered.) I suppose I could just ignore all that and take Barr at his word; after all, people do change, and it would be unfair to dismiss a person who genuinely saw the error of his ways and rectified them. Indeed, such honesty should be supported and even rewarded. But do I believe Barr? I'm not sure yet, but I've got my eye on him.
Then there's Nader the Independent, but I can't support his platform. Anyway, he's effectively nothing more than a rogue candidate; he'll sap a few green votes from the GP, both of which ultimately serve only to sap left-wing idealist votes from Obama.
That leaves a write-in vote for Paul, which I've intended to do all along, no matter what. At this point, the excitement has gone from the election for me; I'm open to pragmatism, within reason. If Paul endorses Barr, I'll pull the lever for Barr without making a fuss about it. If not, I'll most likely write-in Paul, just to say that I saw this thing through to the end.

Unfortunately, the people that may not be included here in this thread have probably left the site due to constant high pitched propaganda to move on to something else. So, the numbers of post will not indicate how strong our original grassroot Ron Paul Revolution is but we are out there everywhere.

Your efforts are misguided
You're wasting your time. A better use of your time would be to try to convert people to the philosophy of liberty.
Some of you people have lost sight of the cause. The cause is not Dr. Paul, or getting as many write-ins for him that will never be counted. The cause is liberty.
Then why are you not doing that
since we are wasting our time here. Please include in your conversion all of the people dealing with the death and destruction of Iraq, as well as all of the people who lose one more of their freedoms on a daily basis. Today, for an example it is the right for the government to wire tap our phones whenever they please. Yes, you just go ahead and convert people to the "philosophy of liberty" but never offering anything that would allow them to obtain real freedom or liberty. Then the status quo can just continue towards their goal.
