I think RonPaul2008.com should automatically redirect to...
...campaignforliberty.com. Or at least have a link to it, or something. It seems ridiculous to throw away all the thousands of signs, stickers and pieces of literature out there indicating RonPaul2008.com, and start over with a new website. People going to the old website for the first time (after seeing all this old stuff still in circulation) will have NO idea that there's an on-going effort at a NEW website....

I'll bet it's a legal thing...
the Presidential Campaign can not directly link to a nonprofit organization I think.
It would be a violation of McCain-Feingold maybe. How ironic!
I think you're right.
I think you're right.
Just seems a shame to have to scrape the .com off...
..of my car's rear window. :-)

About Bumper Stickers
I have a Ron Paul sticker on my car but I'd never put something with a web address like RonPaul2008.com. Maybe it's because I know better than most since I'm a webmaster. You have to take a look at the domain name and realize it's only temporary. A more permanent website would be RonPaul.com or something like that. NEVER put stickers on your car that has a domain name with a year in it. They are only temporary and 99% of the time for promotional use only. The most common domain names with years in them are actually politicians websites running for office. After elections their websites are taken down... sometimes the next day.
My sticker doesn't have a website so I'll leave it on there till it falls off. By the way the best place to put a sticker you want visible is on your rear windshield or rear side windows.
NEVER adhere a sticker directly on your paint. Put it on glass! It devalues your car because they have to put extra work into getting the stickers off and the paint behind them will never match due to natural fading of paint around it. In some cases they'll charge you in order to repaint the car taking a ton of value off your car. You'd think that would be common sense but too many times I see people put stickers right onto their bumper. Though it's called a "bumper sticker" that's not where it should go.
back in the day
bumpers were not painted, they were actually metal, and stickers could be taken off easily. They peeled off, and then you could use a little solvent to get the access glue off.
That wouldn't surprise me....
...but I dunno. I seem to recall all kinds of links on the old RonPaul2008.com website. I could be wrong, though. It's hell getting old... :-)

Domain names with years in them...
Any domain name with a year in it will most likely only operate for that year if a month is not associated with it (which would represent an important cultural date in history).
Exactly!
And we haven't even gone through HALF of this year, yet! We've still got 6+ months where RonPaul2008.com could still be directing new people to the next phase, instead of just leaving them hanging...

Don't worry
Not to worry. I'm sure they won't take the website down immediately. They'll wait until after the election at least. That way people completely disgusted with McCain can at least go check out Ron Paul's site after they realize what a huge fucking mistake they've made.
I think it's a shame they removed most parts of the site only leaving up Ron Paul's stance on issues by that's just my opinion. There was a ton of good information they took down overnight.
I know! I wasn't happy about that, either...
But the only thing I'm "worried" about is that people will go to RonPaul2008.com, read the first page and think the revolution is over. There's absolutely NO clue there about campaignforliberty.com. And we all know how easy people jump to wrong conclusions...
