TIM RUSSERT DIES FROM APPARENT HEART ATTACK

June 13, 2008 --

Posted at 3:21 p.m.; Updated at 3:36 p.m.

Tim Russert, NBC journalist and political heavyweight host of "Meet the Press," has died after collapsing at NBC's Washington news bureau, a source said. He was 58 years old.

Russert, who rose from the inside world of politics where he was former New York Gov. Mario Cuomo's press secretary and one-time chief of staff to the late Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan, was able to successfully cross over to political journalism and rise to become one of its leading lights.

I'm sorry, but I strongly believe, what goes around "May have come around" FYI I wish him peace.

Hannity & Limbaugh loved Russert?

Russert only taught us one thing and that is that: Life is short and we have to do what we can while we are alive to fight the good fight.
Unfortunatly Russert was on the other side of my fight. And seeing now how Limbaugh and Hannity were in love with Russert, is threre any more doubt in any ones mind that those two are equally as bad as he was?
Russert was a traightor of the highest order to liberty, patriotism and justice and in the olden days on any American battlefield would have been shot on the spot and left to rot in the sun by his military commander.
...Other than that I have no opinion.

Russert was a total insider.

Russert was a total insider. No worries though. They'll just pluck another up and comer from the CFR or maybe an ex-CIA agent. Can't put a price on journalism after all.

Isn't it interesting..

how many like to offer kind words when someone dies...even if they were miserable human beings when they were alive? Benedict Arnold was Washington's best most courageous general and Washington loved him like a son yet, after he turned traitor, Washington said if he could get hold of Arnold he would slip the noose around Arnold's neck himself. The attack job of Russert on Dr. Paul was an atrocity. Russert failed to do his duty as a journalist and NEVER accepted that he, like many in the MSM, failed to investigate the case Bush made for taking us to war. If I had the opportunity, I would have slipped the noose around Russerts neck myself. Russert was a traitor to our country and I hope he is burning in hell. One down...many more to go.

if i ever get a chance i'll piss on his grave

if you are aware of the real problems this country is facing and you don't speak out against them. then you are as guilty as the people doing them. i could go back to Iraq and make at least 7 times what i did as a soldier, but i know the war is wrong and against everything i stand for. and i won't sell my soul again just because they're offering lots of money. all those reporters have sold their souls if they don't speak out.

He hated RON

...and did the bidding of his warmonger masters at GE. He fed into the racism accusations with his line of questioning the Civil War. This interview led to the media blackout. Russert was a jerk, a blowhard and an enemy of liberty.

lol! i totally thought this

lol! i totally thought this was a joke...

all lolling aside. i cant help but to feel slightly enlightened by the irony of his early collapse after the raw handed interview he dealt to Ron. im no russert fan, but if i were to use that one interview to judge his character and journalistic integrity, id give in a damn D-.

for the record, i dont consider any pundits and popular personalities as 'journalists', its an insult to the profession, though maybe its just that the profession as it stands, at least within the united states, is an insult in itself.

i dont know, i feel rather indifferent. tragedy should never be relished, but betrayal isnt easily forgiven.

'journalists' aim to change the world....

and that is why they suck! A reporter tells us how the world is being changed.

I only saw russert/mtp once, (you know when) and he appeared to me as a journalist.

The media keeps repeating the word FAIR, when describing Tim Russert today,You can judge for yourself, if he was.

Here is the Mike Huckabee interview on Meet The Press. This interview was one week after RP's, 12/30

http://www.youtube.com/wa...

I was a long time viewer of Meet the Press at the time, but stopped watching after the RP interview. I can remember the rage I felt while watching it. It seemed to me like a public stoning.Tim Russert had never treated anyone, to my recollection, in such a manner. He was out to destroy RP politically that day.

Nonsense

Russert was tough on everybody. I like when reporters grill Dr. Paul, because I think that's when he shines the most. If Dr. Paul is as good as he believe him to be, he should be able to come out of difficult interviews better than he went in. There's no need to be gentle on him. He's a big boy and can handle it, and handle it well. The questions he asked were all legitimate concerns. He did his job.

my condolenses to his family and friends-------------

HYDROMAN

However after seeing that HACK job he attempted to do to Ron Paul on his program I can not say I will miss him. I hope he finds peace in his heart and soul.

I hope he rots in hell

for a while, anyway.

This is a war for our

This is a war for our country and our rights as human beings. Tim Russert was my enemy in that war. I offer no apology.

really what did he do to

really what did he do to you/Ron Paul?

Everyone who went on Meet the Press had to endure tough questions...

Are you serious? What did he

Are you serious? What did he do to me? Are you that far behind in the game that you even have to ask me that question? Where shall we begin?

Really... you expect me to

Really... you expect me to believe that Tim Russert personally attacked you.

If you're going to try and blame Ron Paul's showings in the primary entirely on Tim Russert and his crappy interview (in which Ron Paul held his own), then you're crazy.

Being a part of the

Being a part of the mainstream media that CONTROLS this country makes you complicit to treason. My freedom as an American is threatened by people like Tim Russert.

One liar down, many many

One liar down, many many more to go. He can go to Hell.

Ron Paul's Meet the Press Interview

The key moment in Ron Paul's campaign was the MTP interview. I thought if Tim Russert would have asked questions on the dollar,Federal Reserve, and Ron Paul's record of integrity he would have won the nomination.Instead he asked questions about the Civil War, a former employee, and other nonsense. I will always feel he was out to get Ron Paul and he did.

He WAS out to get Ron Paul,

He WAS out to get Ron Paul, in fact he was gunning to destroy him. He was also a CFR member.

My thoughts to his family

Geez, I was fearing that something like this would happen. I hope that Dr. Paul's officially ending of his campaign did not lead to his demise! Hey, I love Ron Paul too! Sorry, just some light hearted sarcasim.
