Idaho GOP Votes to Abolish Federal Reserve!

SANDPOINT -- It appears the Ron Paul wing of the Idaho Republican Party has scored its first victory at the party's state convention in this North Idaho resort town.
The state party's platform committee voted overwhelmingly Friday to add to state platform language supporting abolishing the Federal Reserve System and pegging the dollar to gold and silver.
The idea has been championed by Ron Paul, a libertarian-leaning Republican who recently gave up his run for the presidency.
Paul won 24 percent of the vote in Idaho's Republican primary and many of his backers are at the convention trying to pull the party to the right and get Paul delegates seated at the Republican National Convention.

I was there all it took as a little education and it passed on the floor overwhelmingly with hooting and hollering! There was a motion to strike it but we voted it down overwhelmingly! Great stuff and I was proud to be a part of it.

Thank you for your participation at the convention. Looking forward to more of your posts on the activities as they occurred. Unfortunately I was unable to attend. Hope to be working on the reorganization of our County Central Committee. Ron Paul got 29% of the vote here with 51% voter turnout. I was hoping that we would better. I think Dr. Paul would have done better had he spent more than two hours in Idaho and had an opportunity to do radio, TV and print media interviews. 24% is not bad for the little support we received from the campaign.

WTF? Ron doesn't advocate "pegging the dollar to gold"
...
He advocates repealing legal tenders laws and eliminating taxes on gold and silver.

My understanding was that he DID think the dollar ideally should be pegged to gold or silver. As a compromise measure he advocates the legalizing of competing currencies to allow people to protect the value of their earnings somehow.
But either way, this is amazing news from Idaho.
You've got it backwards
I think Ron might compromise and accept that the US govt's dollar be pegged to gold or silver. He would prefer even more that the gov't dollar be backed by gold or silver.
However, what he really wants is for the State to have no role whatsoever in the field of money. His ideal plan is to "legalize" competition which should eventually kill off the govt's dollar.
If by pegged you mean DEFINED
... then it's closer to correct. The actual definition of the dollar is in terms of silver, though. Look it up.

Idaho has 2 landscapes.
Southern Idaho has a large U-shaped desert where Boise, Twin Falls, Idaho Falls, and Pocatello are. That's where the agriculture is, including those famous potatoes! The rest of Idaho is more mountainous and cooler. That's where the forests and lakes are. There.

I wouldn't say that the statehouse in Boise follows the Constitution. We have our share of tyranny, voted for by the ignorant, the neocon Repubs, and the liberal pockets of Boise (university), Sun Valley, and Moscow (university). We also have open primaries, where Democrats, who have no chance of winning, can vote for the most liberal Republican they can find. Help us change all this.
Move here especially if you will vote against school bonds! The land tax has gotten out of hand.

Not trying to discourage you
Not trying to discourage you however a petition is not going to do anything. Patriots have been petitioning for decades and it has changed nothing. On the same note marches and demonstrations haven't worked either. They make us feel good that we're doing something but they do not effect real change never have never will.
WE HAVE TO TAKE THE REINS! That is the only thing that will effect change. If the bus is heading over the cliff and you keep petitioning the driver to stop and he ignores you then you must forcefully remove the driver and take control of the bus.
I applaud anyone who does anything however I wish people would understand what it really takes and put their energies into that instead of feel good measures that accomplish nothing.
Sorry if this seems harsh however it seems to me the majority of Ron Paul supporters in my experience either talk and do nothing or put their energy into feel good things like sign waving, marches, and various other things that are easy and make them feel like they are doing something but don't effect change. I know they mean well however If we had those patriots standing on the convention floor with us last weekend we could have swept our convention. AS it is we made significant gains with the few that were there. Just think if we had a solid majority...
This is what will win the revolution period. Don't fight city hall, become city hall!

Idaho is a Good Place to Start
The change is a great victory for our movement. The Revolution in Idaho has been great and shows what happens when our grassroots movement has the support of it members. Great job to everyone involved in Idaho and anyone in other states who had the courage to stand up to the establishment.

Today is a good day, even though it is Friday the 13th...
I was bummed yesterday. But there is hope for Amerika. With the recent supreme court ruling on habeus corpus, the revolution continuing. And locally in my newspaper today, there was an article about support for McAnus getting off to a slow start in our Republican Party. Hmmmm? Are people starting to wake up? The McInsane people have been ignorng Oregon. The excuse is that he is too busy elsewhere to send literature, and other supporting propaganda to Oregon. The Oregon Repub party feels slighted, but are making excuses for his campaign. I and my wife will be writing in Ron Paul.

Friday the 13th was a good day for me also...I got a raise in pay today! WOW! Was I ever happy! I still am, but I came across this that made me think: "But there is hope for Amerika. With the recent supreme court ruling on habeus corpus, the revolution continuing". For one thing, The supreme Court DOESNOT have a Ruling. The RULES ARE ALREADY IN PLACE. As a matter of FACT Habeous Corpus IS Constitutionally in place(contrare to the evil presidential and congressional powers) . Another matter of FACT. The U.S. Supreme Court SHOULD HAVE been abiding by and following the United States Constitution the Whole Time! They Are SWORN To Abide By the U.S. Constitution. The U.S. Supreme Court didn't do anything....What should be of concern is that this was a 5-4 so called "Decision".
