After over 1000 emails I needed to post this.
With Dr. Paul suspending his campaign this changes nothing to what our focus is.
I am not going to go into the differences of suspension vs withdraw although I encourage all of you to educate yourselves on this issue; however, we can still attempt to elect Ron Paul at the national convention. RON PAUL DID NOT QUIT!
Many of you are new to politics and how the system works and I have spoken to over 15,000 of you that I know of in the last 6 months and I am proud of each and every one of you for getting off your couch and getting involved because all of you are the real heros of this revolution.
My point is this changes nothing and we MUST continue to move forward and finish the delagated process and go to the National Convention in September and make sure our numbers and voices are heard.
To the masses I have addressed via telephone I have tried to educate you on how the system works and encouraged all of you to get involved in your local political systems and you did and I applaud all of you for stepping up and fighting to get the job done.
The revolution has not ended for it is only the beginning and we MUST move forward to make the positive changes that MUST be made in this country and with all of your help this can be achieved and I can not stress the fact of how you must all become educated on your local political systems and Roberts Rules Of Order for this is one of the most powerful tools you have to utilize to be effective in your party.
Dr. Paul has said himself that this was not about him for it was about the message and he is exactly right and you must continue on with that message and must work and dedicate yourselves if we are to make the changes that need to be made in this country.
I am extremely proud of all of you that stepped up and became involved and GOT THE JOB DONE.
I do not want anyone to look at the things we did not achieve at this point but to focus on the positive things we have done this election year thus far and the things WE WILL achieve in the future.
People like yourselves will help make the difference and make the changes that need to be made SO KEEP YOUR CHIN UP and keep pushing forward for you should all be proud of what you have done and I assure you that I will be there for each and everyone of you that need me in the future.
Just because we have met with extreme resistance does not mean we do not continue to fight for our legal rights to have our voices be heard and I want all of you to PRESS ON AND MOVE FORWARD.
We will WIN even if we do not nominate Dr. Paul this election year and you must believe me that what all of you have done is amazing and I have never been so proud of a group of people in my life for your courage and dedication that all of you have accomplished thus far in this movement.

Thanks for the refresher Steve
Steves efforts have to be admired. At times the man near put his life on hold for this cause. The man had to walk away at times to regenerate himself. He reminds me of one of the rag tagged men marching for the revolution during the time the Americans left a boot print on the British backside.

is to go to the website of Evan of Alaska, www.dvds4delegates.com and make a donation.
As you may know they are in the process of creating better DVDs to send to each and every Republican delegate across the country to enlighten them about Ron Paul so they will know why we find him to be so appealing as a candidate for president.
Four DVDs are planned to be sent over the next eleven weeks. Our own Ron Paul delegates will also engage with delegates to talk to them, to hand them copies of Ron Paul's issue papers or proposed legislation over his twenty years in the Congress.
Ron Paul may have suspended his official campaign but he has made it clear to Evan that he will be willing to accept the nomination in Minneapolis if by virtue of our efforts enough delegates vote for him in September!
There is so much at stake and the future would be so different if Ron Paul were the president than if either of the others were in the White House. We have the opportunity now to persuade the existing delegates. Politics is the art of persuasion after all.
If it becomes evident that McCain cannot beat Obama but that Ron Paul is the kind of candidate who can beat Obama, then delegates will be more likely to be loyal to the traditional Republican values which Ron Paul represents.

When I joined the Ron Paul Revolution, it was the first time in many years that I felt real patriotism, a strive for peace, and a way to restore the republic that had long been sinking into a quagmire.
For nearly half a century, I had looked for a message that would stir the souls of men toward equality and prosperity. That message finally arrived, and even though it was late in my life, I met and, since then, have supported Dr. Ron Paul.
Now, with all the suppression of the truth he runs on, we have been tested, over and over, on what our lives stand for, and what we WILL stand for, as we go forward for liberty. That test has become magnified, especially in the last week.
One must now ask the question...do I now go back to my easy chair? Do I go back to life as usual while the "powers that be" take away all my liberties until I have no air left to breathe? I for one...will not!
This land is YOUR land, this land is MY land...it was made for YOU and ME. The ole saying.."now is the time for all good men(women) to come to the aid of their country". THIS IS NOT A TYPING TEST! This is a test of each and every person's fortitude, commitment, and personal challenge, not only to fight for our freedom, but for that of generations to come.
Lady Liberty has called us all. Will you let her down?
Ron Paul's message is the best hope for America that we have had in a very long time. We must seize the moment, before it's too late.
I choose to stand and fight for the revolution..a fight to restore our republic..a fight to once again have a country of which we can be proud ....and respected around the globe.

Dr. Steve Parent has opened many eyes on the election process to make it possible to win that fight...with Ron Paul. He has spent personal effort and much time in doing so. For that I have upmost respect for him. Whatever you may think, or whatever you may have to say...just remember..

I have been reading and watching everything I can for a long while and as long as I can remember in my short 50 years on this planet, something had been wrong with our government. I have learned allot from the folks here at DP and grabbed hold like a pit bull on a pork chop and continued to research and learn more on my own. I still have not actually heard Dr. Paul say that he quits. All I have heard is that it is up to us to learn and fight for our freedoms and to go to the national convention and do the best we can. While I have not been able to do much from some perspectives, I have managed to turn a few hundred heads to listen to what I have had to say about it all and some of those have gotten involved also. I for one will never again become complacent and uninformed for the rest of my days and for that, I thank all of you. It will continue to be a long and continuous fight, but as it was once said, we get the government we deserve and if we can all keep up the good fight, we will. I will be one out there fighting with and for you because I too believe it is better to die standing then live a century on your knees.

When we first heard Dr.Paul's message of freedom and persoanal responsibility many of us felt true inspiration,many for the first time!
Now the torch has truly been passed to we the people to continue with Dr.Paul's....Our message. As Ben Franklin said "It's a republic if we can keep it". This is a revolution, if we continue to work together in the spirit or our message and the examples of Dr.Paul's character and honesty. God bless We the People.

Yes, I also understand it the same way. Dr. Paul just withdrew from the campaigning, which is perfectly logical, as there are NO more primaries/contests to contest. He keeps his delegates. It is just like Hillary CLinton or Mitt Romney that withdrew from the campaign. At the DNC Clinton's name will still be on the ballot, and her delegates will vote for her (in the first round) in any case. I think she is still waiting/factoring in a dramatic revelation about Obama (like a the release of a tape about his wife's Whitey remark or something in this regard), something that will make Obama seem very unelectable or some stumble, which could lead the majority of superdelegates to go for her (or to enforce the VP possibly).
Dr. Paul has said he always sticks with his principles and ideals, but do change strategy when required. His announcement has a release-effect: the GOP bosses probably think the "danger" is now over, so in the remaining state caucus there will be no strong pro-McCain lobby and the delegates scrutinized about their support. This could lead to more Ron Paul delegates int he remaining caucuses than assumed. McCain can also make a major mistake int he coming months, or he could become unhealthy or the situation in Iraq and economy could hurt his chances a lot and the general dissatisfaction in the GOP grow larger. There are already 14 congressmen/senators that they will not be endorsing him and another 17 that have not made no statement yet. If McCain fails to get the amount of votes needed with the first ballot (he can/will still get the most votes), then the nomination may be open for grabs: there will probably be speeches by Romney, Huckabee, Paul etc. Also if Barr polls at say 7-8% or more or clearly show that in some states he will be the deciding factor, it will put on a whole lot of pressure on the GOP.
So there is still a possibility for Dr. Paul. But the issue is we should not only focus on this, also as if Dr. Paul does not get the nomination, everybody resigns. The broader Campaign for Liberty will also raise money for more congressmen and senators that we can get elected. And this will ensure Dr. Paul has more power. He mentioned the other day he just need so 4 or 5 Ron Paul congressmen and it will make a big difference already. CfL is going to be much much bigger than RP4prez!!!!

we are all as one voice and walk alone as well.....very much what I would imagine Dr. Paul saying because I too heard the call to......family first, community, and then the world through proper perspective and right choices....people will be challenged to ask themselves the hard questions and bare their answers.....what you do at a local level is your immediate way to touch anothers life...effect change and secure your children's futures. Dialog is now beginning and a common goal of understanding our history and future and how we affect both is on alot of people's minds. It is only going to cost around $50,000.00 to get these dvds to all delegates. I am not sure how this breaks down, but you can go to the site for further info. We want to get dvds out to McCain delegates that will provide them with info on who Ron Paul is, and what he stands for. It is kind of like what you told us to do, become delegates and adding steroids to it. I am about to drop a chunk of change to this project, and once I catch up again I will most definitely throw some your way to help you continue your projects, so don't disappear on us. There is alot of confusion over what the delegates roles will be now at National! I have even seen some that think RP is asking them not to go to the RNC but to the RP rally instead! I know this isnt true but there really needs to be clarification on this for some!
PS. The show you hosted the other night with the delegates you interviewed at the Texas convention was really insightful and inspiring!
