For those of you or others you know of who think so, you've been duped like the rest of the MSM.... What he has done is Beyond brilliant!!! Let me show you some points...
--- fund raising.... he can now raise more money (even from prior maxed out donors..they can now donate more money ..I believe its like $5000 per year)
-- money allotment.... now he can at his discretion donate/campaign for or place ads for anyone he believes can join him in congress or the senate...so lets say that his organization helps 3-5 people get elected this November to the congress...(we just multiplied Ron Paul's voice by 5X!!!-- imagine what we can accomplish now!!!)
--unique campaigning.. he can still do rally s, speaking events, book signings, travel to State Conventions and speak(Romney is, and so is Huckster..), this can still help us the grassroots assist him in getting more delegates to his growing numbers....
---expand his organization...he only had around 60,000 people in his email database during his campaigning for PRES. now in about 4 days he has close to 60,000 already!! With his goal being over 100,000 by September...Lets say he gets like 150,000 or 200,000 people on his email list by September....At that point you could yield so much influence that people will treat him differently.
---Power & Influence....imagine 200,000 people or more in his new organization..calling a group of Senators on a committee to pass some new legislation--emailing, faxing, etc.....NO SINGLE CONGRESSPERSON HAS THAT MUCH POWER IN CONGRESS RIGHT NOW!!! (or 200,000 people chip in 20.00 to elect a new Senator or governor...raising 4 million dollars in 24 hrs!!! NOW THATS SOME POLITICAL POWER!!!

I just saw a news report on CNN. In a new poll of active Republicans, Ron Paul received 95% of the vote. John McCain received 1%, and 4% were undetermined.
This is great news! CNN even admitted that there is a very good chance of a delegate revolt, and Ron Paul could indeed be the nominee

If there is a precedent to be set, then the long game is worth it for him. He is calculated, savvy, and his timing is near perfect. That he comes off naive or quixotic is a misinterpretation of his honesty and persistence. Think of the many interviews where he has slam-dunked the anchors, belying their best efforts to stump him with gossipy trash, polls, and rhetoric. He owns them.
This admirable, yet confusing to some, focus on the distant target is what drew me to Dr. Paul once I discovered his long fight against tyranny.
People like Paul come once or twice in a lifetime in my opinion. No, I am not readying myself for a kool-aide Revolution function...but seriously...someone who has dedicated much of his life to a great cause, undisturbed by the sewage floating around him, it is an inspiring opportunity to realize that the human spirit is alive and well. Except, in this sense, as compared to a stellar artist or gifted athlete, it is a Statesman-politician. A rarety, making him that much more ethereal, unbelievable...a phenomenon.

Why you should never give up
You only have to look at all the skirmises that are happening almost everyday from people standing for congress or delegates or fighting the media to realise that whilst many of the skirmishes are finally lost, because those pulling the strings hold many of the cards. Every skirmish forces those in power to expose themselves waking more and more people and ironically each time win they are becoming weaker. They must fight and hold everything so in effect the the Ron Paul Liberty movement is in the driving seat, even though it may not always seem like it. You are never beaten if you never surrender. Peace and liberty to all.

You have good insight from across the pond. If we are so far gone to believe that our vote really does count over the diebold...... I actually prefer for there to be a None of the Above box on the ballot, but another possibility is to vote for lesser offices, but leave the Presidential vote empty as a sign of protest against the candidates nominated. The RNC in DC nominates...no matter how much conflict we go through the way things stand now. That is why taking a stand against them, as in Nevada, is so important. My first choice: Ron Paul on the ballot.... Second choice, if available, write in... Third choice, if available...NOTA and Final Choice: leave no vote for President while voting for others. Look at this example, if it is reported accurately: Total voters in State A: 100,000....votes for McCain 5,000......doesn't look good for the GOP now does it. Somehow we need to get the GOP back on track. Of the other choices, there is no choice imo. We need to make a stand and not vote for another party, unless Dr. Paul completely endorses that person (which might also mean he just might take VP)....is a lessening of our effectiveness, imo.

to say I wish I knew myself!! I'm someone who likes to resolve things peacefully if I can. I don't know, I guess the people here in Eastern Washington don't really get upset too often...our main issues are bad street maintenance, unseating the dying mayor for offering internships for sexual favors from gay men, a 'cursed' parking garage, and raising the rates on downtown parking meters. Also, most of our tax dollars go to the other side of the state for their transportation issues and pet projects. Occasionally, through the years I've lived here, it has been brought up the Eastern Washington should secede along with northern Idaho and form our own state, but nothing ever comes of it. I really don't know where the "line" is, or when we have crossed it but I know that Eastern Washington is generally united. It is the west side that is liberal and always gets their way.

When I was young a police oficer came to our school to talk
about drugs of all things...hard core ones mostly. and they told us a good way of making decisions about drugs was to make a choice now(meaning that day) when we could ask questions etc... I did...and years later when I was in HS I had many opportunities to partake..but that decision in 3rd grade stuck.... The problem is ..most Americans whom I ask this same question to (the line in the sand one)answer the same way as you...this is why we are losing our Republic...because no one knows the answer to that question deep inside they don't know the answer.....(I think I remember the thread I will post it here when I find it..) One of the smartest and wisest things you can ever do for yourself besides becoming a delegate is finding a way to answer that simple question for yourself . For without an answer there is no America ...it is gone....
in fact if you think about it , the whole reason we have a country is a little over 200 years ago a majority of people asked themselves that question and the answer was "a 13% tax..or NO TAXATIION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION...."

Every time I see a reference to our very successful convention...28 delegates for Ron paul...I find myself thinking on the whole process. Unless we can find a way to begin to influence the media, it's not going to make much difference in the short haul how hard we work, how brilliant Ron Paul is, or how much money we throw at the enterprise. Yes, over time, we will make advances, but I don't know about all of you, I'm feeling we've got to come up with some more immediate solutions to the problems facing this country.
We have got to reach the media...and not just the blogs, or the liberty news sites that we visit regularly (we're the informed ones), we've got to get to the areas where "The Others" hang out....that means the mainstream media and political blogs for other candidates.
In the annals of politics, what was accomplished in Nevada is probably a first and might very well be the foot in the door for some legitimacy and visibility, but the media has slammed the door in our faces and continue to keep the public in the dark. So, while we need to reach the delegates and get them there, we also have to find those in the media who will help us inch that door open. We do not have a free press and to get the word out to millions without them is a huge task and one which we should perhaps brainstorm on. How can we get to the media for fair coverage?
An activist I know, said that about the only way to get the media to cover events such as the March is to plan something attention-getting or outrageous, without being violent (major emphasis). Then get the word out before the event so that the media will want to cover it. As she put it "the media doesn't care that thousands are marching for liberty and Ron Paul...ho hum, just another "cause." She suggested something fun, unusual...but now we are getting beyond my scope. I was telling her that apparently Homeland Security has indicated that the media should not cover the March in DC, and they view us as "domestic terrorists" according to one report I read.
Above all, don't get me wrong, we all get exasperated occasionally...we must stick together, grow our numbers, and fight on. It also struck me in a conversation I had with a member of the media, even they keep being fed the same thing over and over again to the point they believe they are reporting the news.

Essentially, this woman discovered by accident the code for the diebold machines and wanted to know more about which ended up getting her involved in a major quest to find answers.
