One idea I thought she made clear was to get a Citizen's Rule Book in every household! That could be a wonderful introduction to many people who otherwise don't participate in the system... we could introduce ourselves, register voters, inform them on some things and hand them a Citizen's Rule Book that they could use as time get worse!

I heard on my local News Channel today a blurb about the IRS saying you must now file income tax returns "EVEN if you owe NO taxes"!!!

The 16th amendment was illegally ratified.

I don't know too much about this sort of thing, but rather than individuals going it alone against the IRS, would it be possible to stage a class action lawsuit. It would not be the case of people trying to evade paying taxes. In fact, perhaps people would complete their tax returns and submit them to a court with any owed money set aside in a trust somewhere. And then, prior to the returns and money being turned over to the I.R.S. force the I.R.S. to present their evidence in a court of law.

I would hope that those involved in the case would not be prosecuted for trying to evade paying taxes. Of course, I'm sure I'm not the first to think of this and there's legal reason's why this wouldn't work.

I recall very well Vernie’s fight. At the time, though I saluted her courage, I feared she was being reckless and that we would lose another fierce patriot face down in the brutal government mire. Though I’ve lived these fights I hated to see someone of Vernie’s caliber with such determination to pursue a path that I thought would lead precipitously to another marginalized martyr’s sacrifice…Lost to the cause.

I was wrong. It was not premature for her to make her stand. It was simply…..Bold, Noble.

Her costly triumph was truly heroic. She has an inspiring and wonderful story to tell.

I find it interesting that you write that the prosecution could not produce the law which says you must pay. Can you link for us the court dialog, asking for that law and then the prosecution failing to find or produce it?

This is what I find, ..... YES, you do have to pay the Income tax and YES there is a law.

I was sad to learn that, yes, I do have to pay the income tax.

I knew this woman when she just started with the trial several years ago. I remeber her being angry, but at the same time very worried. I was shocked way back then when she won. I remember a story she told out of that trial:

After the decision was handed down in court, the IRS was furious. The lead prosecutor on the case demanded to the judge "Your Honor, you HAVE to tell this woman that she HAS to pay taxes." The judge replied, "Sir, I don't work for the IRS."

Exactly! How can one Honor, Obey and Sustain the Law if one cannot understand it? It cannot be done! And, any court of law will agree with that.
