Nevada State Party Chair Releases E-Mail in Desperate Attempt to Prevent June 28th Delegate-Sponsored Convention.
Dear Nevada Republican Convention Delegate,
The 2008 Nevada Republican Convention will reconvene on Saturday July 26th, 2008 at the Peppermill Hotel in Reno.
This is the only convention date that will be sanctioned by the Nevada Republican Party. Please do not confuse this with any other possible dates. You should have received official notice through the mail this week. Should you not receive anything, please call us here at the office.
We have picked this date because management of the Peppermill has graciously given us convention space and it enables our convention Chairman, Secretary, Parliamentarian, and Credentials Chairman to attend.
This date gives delegates plenty of time to make travel reservations for the National Convention. The official hotel of the Nevada delegation is the Saint Paul in Minneapolis and room rates will not be affected. In addition, Northwest Airlines is the official airline sponsor and is offering discounted fares to and from Minneapolis for convention attendees.
Nevada Republican Party officials appreciate your patience. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our office in Las Vegas.

IT IS ONLY ABOUT10 but if any of them are delegates, and we get just one it would be worth it...Please to any one else who wants to call these guys, have your facts in front of you, so you can literally read them. These politicians know how to lie in their sleep, so you have to have all the truth right in front of you so you can nail them between the eyes with it...

THEY CAN BE CONFRONTED ...If they are all cowards and hacks..then lets give them a chance to be that, or maybe , we might get a couple onto our "side" . for I have a feeling that most of them do not digg for the truth, they do what they are told, only leaders digg for truth, and make intelligent choices based on that truth....When calling or emailing them please point that out....and let them respond(that is if your fortunate enough to get them on the phone)

Please call them up and find out....then ask them if they will come to the convention in Reno on June 28th, if they ask why should they/is it legal etc. please have your facts in front of you(ie http://www.nevadagopconve... ) We must ask and be firm in our knowledge and truth about our facts....I bet many of them(if any are actually delegates/alternates) are only making decisions based on what they are told, not based on the truth. have this also in front of you so you can quote Roberts Rules of order to them....
On Page 224 of Robert's Rules of Order - Newly Revised 10th Edition it says this about a Recess:
3. Is out of order when another has the floor.
4. Must be seconded.
5. Is not debatable.
6. Is amendable as to the length of the recess; any such amendment is undebatable.
7. Requires a majority vote.
8. Cannot be Reconsidered

The person walking from the counting room took a straight line to State Chairwoman Sue Lowden, leaning over and whispering into her ear. After the person walked off Sue sat there for about 30 seconds tapping her foot and then stood up and walked over to Commissioner Woodbury who was sitting in front of me, leaning over she said, “If we can break Quorum, can we invalidate this?” After saying this rather loudly and glancing at the expression on my face she quickly quieted down and I was unable to hear the rest of the conversation.

Has she been invited to the one in June? Who exactly "sanctions" these conventions? What if neither convention has a quorum? What if the one in June has a quorum..can she be voted out? Does she have to be notified first?

She has been invited to the June convention about 40 times now. If we have a quorum we will be able to legally challenge the Party. The Party has tremendous leverage do the fact they are perceived to be the authority, and they have the list of delegates. If we have a quorum in June we can do just about anything we want. I am not sure what the process is to remove anybody. I would have to read the Bylaws again.

I say we (a group of 8 or so) individuals stake out her house, then with a camera rolling we wait until she is leaving or coming home, and surround her asking hard questions that the spineless media is not asking.....THEN PUTT IT ALL ON YOUTUBE....

You should have received notice through the email this week, a phone call or two, over 200 radio ads, and ads in 19 Nevada newspapers. Should you not receive anything, please call us here at the Nevada Republicans for Fairness.
We have picked this date because State Delegates and volunteers have graciously given us convention space and it enables our convention Chairman, Secretary, Parliamentarian, and Credentials Chairman to respond to their invitations.
This date gives delegates plenty of time to make travel reservations for the National Convention. The official hotel of the Nevada delegation is the Saint Paul in Minneapolis and room rates will not be affected.
